Tasty, flavoursome, well served, 10 out of 10! Perfect start to the day.

Been past many times over the years but for various reasons it took until yesterday morning to make my first visit. The woman was warm and friendly with her welcome and service provided. Despite people coming and going she was very attentive to make sure everyone was sorted. My order of full English with both beans and tomatoes with coffee was all served in no time and still hot when it hit the table. Decent customer service is important if you want people to return but the contrast to what I've been given locally and further afield is stark. What I received was most welcome and appreciated. When I next visit I will try something else on the menu.

Had a English breakfast £5 including toast, and a teapot of tea or a cup of coffee was smashing. We will not be going anywhere else for one. Going to try a dinner next time we go to cleethorpes

If you want good home cooked food at a great price Harriet's is the place to go the roast beef dinner is really good and tasty with lots of gravy just wish I lived closer

Come from Hull for some tasty food and we was not disappointed, food was absolutely unreal, curry goat melted in your mouth, the jerk chicken was so flavourful. The dumplings were amazing!!!! The owner was so attentive and the service we received was above and beyond! Would recommend this place. It was that good we ordered the same food to take away!!!!

This is not a restaurant but a culinary experience. Served and entertained by the head chef Oumar, with Caribbean, African and Jamaican flavours and fused with a soul food twist. You can see why it's the Trip Advisor winner of 2022, 2023 and 2024, boasting an almost perfect review score.

Visited with two of my good friends. All first timers here... and first timers with African food! On stepping foot in the café we were instantly greated by the owner and chef Oumar. A huge, warm welcome and love was showered onto us all. The café is decorated with African colours and culture in mind. Very informal and fun. We arrived just after opening.. so very quiet.. but it does get much busier later on. In fact it would be a great place to grab a bite to eat after a night out. The atmosphere was very relaxed and thanks to Oumar we all had a great experience. Now... the food. Clearly made with passion and love. We chose three different mains and were given two complimentary appetisers! Fried dumplings - sweet, crunchy outside and soft on the inside. Similar to seaside donuts... but no hole in the middle, not covered in sugar and far more tasty! Quite dense and filling! Fried, caramalised plantain - slices of sticky, slightly burnt (on purpose!) caramalised plantain.. similar to banana.. but not the same! Very tasty and a real treat. The mains... Lamb dibi, chicken yassa and jerk chicken. The dibi and yassa are very similar. Ingredients are peas, carrots, beans, potato, sweetcorn, caramalised onions and dijon mustard to name just a few! The meat is seasoned and gently spiced with flavour. Both dishes are mild, yet very rich and flavoursome. Served with a mixed rice that had red beans in it too, made for a great accompaniment. All tasted fresh and were very filling! Luckily the food is served in a cardboard takeaway box... so we took the leftovers home! The jerk chicken - marinated for 24hours... so the chicken has absorbed all of the flavour from it's seasoning... a deep, smokey and rich flavour. The option of melted cheddar and chips made this a guilty pleasure! The chicken was cooked perfectly - juicy on the inside. Varied soft drinks are available from the self service fridge. All chilled and ready to go! Summing up. An African café that delivers amazing, authentic food coupled with one of the friendliest hosts I have ever met which equals a superb evening. For three of us the bill was £42. Well worth it. None of us were left hungry and we will definitely return... and probably some takeaways/deliveries too! Thank you Oumar. Stopped by for the first time and Omar pulled out all the stops. He was kind enough to recommend dishes and provide samples of others. Highly recommended.

This is our first restaurant in the area selling traditional Turkish cuisine. As someone who has spent a lot of time in Istanbul, I can say the quality and flavours and portions of the food definitely do compare. I was very impressed. You also get some complimentary bread and spicy dip and yogurt dip. This is served warm and also very nice. I recommend you don't get a starter each. Instead pick a selection of starters each and share them all between you as the portions are big and it's better to try more food and split them. I have tried a couple of different mains here and I've been with a lot of people over my 2 visits here. Everyone loved the food and we all rate it. The staff are excellent and they are very attentive to you. The selection of alcohol and drinks is also very good. I cannot comment on upstairs as it wasn't open when I visited. A tip is there is one unisex/disabled toilet which looks confusing at first but I assume this is just a quirk of the building and as someone who is well travelled I'm used to this kind of thing, I just wanted to point it out. Overall very nice experience and will definitely be back more in future.

Popped in today as I wanted to try this restaurant since it opened - always absolutely full, too! Sat upstairs, we got lucky with a lovely sunny day! The food was great, and I recommend the creamy chicken. it's delicious! Food portions, as you can see, are big! The service was not the best, slow(took a while to get our drinks) not making eye contact or checking if everything is okay!I had to go up to the bar to ask because non of them looked at customers! also did not ask about any allergies, so if you do have any, please make them aware. The toilets were very nice and clean (no mirror, though). Restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and vibe to it, clean and cosy! Will definitely recommend and be back 👌🏽

Came here for New Year’s Eve and it was very busy, we had pre booked our large party. Food was delicious, ordering drinks and extras was no problem also and all came quickly, staff were friendly and atmosphere was very good. Even splitting the bill between couples was no problem for them. Highly recommend and will definitely visit again

Visited this place yesterday, must say this place is fantastic! Very welcoming staff, waitresses looked after us extremely well, accommodated all our needs and provided first class service. The food is out of this world, our Starters, Maincourses and Desserts were phenomenal. Pizza was so authentic and delicious. Highly recommend this place, it is a must try for all Italian lovers. Cannoli's were simply awesome, we shall be frequenting this establishment regularly. Thank u to all the staff that made our evening special. Really impressive and sophisticated establishment.

Fantastic food - sharing platter was gorgeous, we shared between 4 of us, pizza's were really authentic, pasta & risotto went down a treat. Service was really good, food came out quick & hot, nothing was too much trouble. Excellent night.

Lovely sit-in traditional fish & chip restraunt, a short walk from the sea front, Cleethorpes has more than it's fair share of fish and chip shops but this one is well worth a visit.

Never been to Steels before but heard great things. I was not disappointed, everything about it was just lovely, the staff were gorgeous, really friendly and helpful, the location is perfect (we got a window seat) the food, what can I say? My friend had jumbo fish and chips so I copied him, it was superb. Probably the best fish and chips I've ever had.

Called on spec on a Tuesday evening having liked the look of this place during the day. So glad we did. Everything was excellent from start to finish. Even though relatively quiet the place still had a great atmosphere, lovely lighting and decoration together with music that seemed appropriate rather than any old 'pop' music. Had starters and mains but way too full for anything else. Chicken cous cous was amazing and full of the most delicious cooked vegetables and chicken. It was full of flavour, hard to describe other than savoury and warming, not spicy. My partner said his meatballs were also excellent. Service was friendly, welcoming and just right. Prices are very reasonable for such good quality. Sad we are only in the area for one night as we'd certainly return to try other dishes on their menu.

Shamed to say it’s our first visit here. Sharing plate to start, salmon and lamb tagine for mains. Simply, delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed our food, great service, he’s that guy knows how to work tables.. Will definitely, definitely be back.

My what a gem. Why have we not been here before! The food is to die for. The atmosphere is like being in Morocco 🥰 The staff are the loveliest! Very highly recommend.

Great new cafe on Cleethorpes seafront across the road from the beach. Only opened 2 weeks ago and very busy, bookings are definitely advised. Interesting, well pared menu that's really refreshing to see in Cleethorpes and makes us want to go back for more. Owned by a well experienced couple and barista who worked in Melbourne and really knows how to make great coffee. The salmon breakfast bagel was delicious, crunchy fresh bagel that I loved and great quality salmon and cream cheese. It was absolutely yummy. Great upbeat atmosphere, music and cool vibe. Recommended to me by lots of locals in the know who have been very impressed. Parking on street a bit painful as the area was very busy Saturday morning as expected but we got one after a few mins of searching side streets. Kid friendly too..

Staying overnight in Cleethorpes for business and had this restaurant recommended a few times. Completely blown away by the food, what an incredible concept and mixture of flavours...the chef is a true genius!!! Hope to visit again soon, thank you for great food and brilliant service!

We booked a table for yesterday (Saturday) I went for the garden breakfast, my husband had perfect poached eggs on sourdough and our son had a the Nasturtium full with scrambled egg, all of which were delicious. We washed the food down with Cortado coffees (which were the best I’ve tried out of Spain!) Lovely bistro, chilled atmosphere. I’d recommend you book beforehand as it gets busy. Looking forward to returning.

Extremely accommodating ladies who sorted an appropriate accessible table for my Husband &I even though it was a rather busy lunchtime. He chose the haddock & homemade chips and his face when it came out was an absolute picture as the fish was HUGE 😂 It tasted so fresh it must've been swimming in the sea this morning and the light and crispy batter was a delight ! I chose the 3 taco shells and I've honestly never tasted anything so amazing when eating out . The beef was tender and the sticky sauce was just perfect with the pickled salad and chili piece a great addition❤️👍 Only downside ? We are only here for the day 😉but if ever we return to Cleethorpes then here will be our first port of call 😃👍

Fabulous Christmas afternoon tea yesterday, the best yet!! The food was delicious, the staff friendly and attentive. Although can sometimes feel chilly inside, yesterday felt cozy and warm. Highly recommend.

If you are out for fine dining, Figs is the place to go. The food is extremely delicious, compliments to the chef, and well presented too. The staff is friendly and quick to take your order and bring the drinks. It is a bit pricey and I wouldn't be able to afford it every week but it is well worth it for special occasions. Perhaps it could do with some quiet background music but all in all we had a great evening.

We went yesterday after having a look at their afternoon tea menu. The afternoon tea was very quirky and nothing traditional. The food was impeccable as you can see from the images. High quality tasty warm food and the dessert section was scrumptious! Would definitely recommend and will be rebooking. 10/10

We had a lovely meal here. The venue was beautiful. Well run. I had fish and chips and they were good. We were not disappointed. Though we did find better whilst we were away. But don’t let that comment put you off trying this stunning venue.

Best fish and chips in the UK, we had the big Papa’s haddock to share and it was absolutely delicious and good value for money (£18.99). You can share it between 3-4 people. We also had mushy peas and curry sauce which were all amazing. Very friendly service too. The only disappointment was the fried calamari we had. Portion was small and it was overcooked (£5.99).

little bit confusing at start as lots of staff but nobody showing you to tables once sat down fish and chips 🍟 were lovely and generous sizes price good waiting staff friendly lady who served us. Room really nice sat inside as we didn't want seagulls joining us. We would go again if in area but a little too far away for a repeat visit but would recommend
