I booked a two-hour shared lesson with my wife yesterday. Both my wife and I are complete beginners in golf. Shay explained things to us in detail and used a lot of references to let us understand the basic setup and techniques of golf. In addition to the basic techniques, Shay also provided us with a lot of information about the sport, which made the whole lesson much more meaningful. Overall, both my wife and I really enjoyed the lesson, and we would definitely book more lessons in the future, even though it took us an hour to drive from home to Belton. Highly recommend!

Had a lab DF3 fitting with Shay. Great guy and very knowledgeable, spent loads of time with me making sure everything was done right. Putter delivered in 3 weeks. Howard in the pro shop was great on pick up making sure I tested it to make sure everything was ok before leaving. Great experience and highly recommended 👍

I chose Shay for my club fittings as he has no affiliation with any specific manufacturer and he price matches. I had an hours drive from home to get to Belton Park GC and have not regretted a single minute. Shay is chatty, friendly and very approachable. He has all the latest tech and explains what he's trying to achieve is simple, understandable language. Long story short - my clubhead speed improved 30% just by getting the right shafts! Shay is prepared to do good deals and I've gone away with a new set of Ping G430's. Very happy and definitely recommended

I recently had the pleasure of working with Shay to improve my golf swing, he had been recommended to myself by a few friends who were very impressed by his Lab fitting session. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the results I have seen just from one session. From the very first session, Shay demonstrated a deep understanding of the mechanics of the golf swing and a keen ability to communicate complex concepts in a way that was easy to grasp. Shay introduced me to innovative drills that he witnessed Tiger himself using, that made a significant difference in my swing. They used video analysis to break down my swing frame by frame, which was incredibly helpful in understanding what I needed to change. The use of technology in our sessions added a modern touch that enhanced my learning experience. The results speak for themselves. My swing is now more consistent, powerful, and accurate. I’ve seen a noticeable improvement in my game, and my confidence on the course has soared. Thanks to Shay, I’m going to the course and range being able to practice in a way I can see instant feedback from my game and sessions. What a fantastic course. I've played a few times now and always look forward to going again. Very well maintained and the course can be as challenging as you want it to be. Lots of options of how to play each hole, play it safe or go for that extra 20 yards! Set in wonderful surroundings and if you choose to take a break half way round you can always stop for a cuppa (beer also available) and a slice of cake. Only £1 for 20 balls to get you warmed up on the range. Very reasonable green fees for the standard of course. Highly recommended this course, you won't be disappointed.

We attended a function here and stayed the night. The lady on reception was lovely and got us checked in quickly. The room was large, nice and clean, with all the expected facilities excepted. The function room was a good size and had the bar in the room, I like this as it keeps people together instead of everyone spreading out all over the place. The food was good and served at a good pace, getting all the guests fed quickly. Last orders at the bar was 11:45, which was a little early, and there was no guest bar for an after-hours drink. Breakfast was buffet style, items were being topped up all the time, which meant some item ran out for a short period, but at least they were cooked fresh, breakfast was really good. Staff couldn't do enough for you.

We stayed for a couple of nights during half term. Being a long way from a major road the hotel was extremely quiet; we had a terrific night's sleep in a huge comfy bed. As there is hardly any light pollution the stars look fantastic over the dark golf course at night, which also provides a nice view from the rooms and restaurant. The bar and restaurant were great for both breakfasts and dinners. The food was delicious and the portions large, with local ales on draught too! A dart board and pool table kept my 10 year old entertained until bedtime! The room was large, clean and very comfortable, with a nice bathroom with a bath. The staff were super efficient and friendly. For value for money I'd rate this hotel very highly and would definitely come back.

2 great courses one each day, in excellent condition, rooms were spacious and view was the 10 th hole. Breakfast was superb all you can eat and a great verity was available, evening meal was outstanding and again a great choice of food. Staff could not do enough and all smiled, best two days golf this year and looking forward to going again.

Arrived early Friday morning, had a small breakfast. Played Friday pm Saturday Sunday am. To very nice evening meals ( white bait and scampi not up to standard not that I had it. General view of most who chose it) breakfast OK good choice cereal fruit and pastries. Plenty tea or coffee. 2 course both challenging in different ways. Staff couldn't have been friendlier or helpfully. Rooms perfect for purpose. 🥰💞 thanks to all of you guys at Greetham.

We went to the new years eve party and stayed the night. Everything was spot on. We couldn't believe it was only a 3 star hotel. The staff were all happy and helpful ,even though they were working on New Years eve. The dinner dance was one of the best we've been to. The meal was fantastic ,and the entertainment by Barreo Benidorm was so much fun. His talents were amazing. A real entertainer and fantastic singer.

Possibly the most difficult golf course I've ever played and I've played over 500 all over the world. If you can't carry the ball 200 yds off the tee , stay at home. Absolutely brutal but brilliant at the same time. Definitely not fun, but a magnificent challenge

Excellent course that I was lucky enough to qualify to play on for the England ladies medal final . Lovely experience. Very welcoming staff. Homely feel to it. Offers a wide range of facilities to practice on. A must try for all golfers. Very helpful greenside bunkers to keep you on your toes.

Golf course - we played the Hotchkin course and it was in immaculate condition. It was challenging, in terms of length, bunkers (as some very extremely deep) as well as having penal rough! Clubhouse - lovely clubhouse but could l do with an uplift. It needs some TLC but with some investment, it could be absolutely superb. Driving range - it’s about five minutes walk from the shop but it is super. Lots of Toptracer bays and a great Short game area as well. Just what you’d expect from the home of England Golf.

Played a small society day on their March offer. Course in good shape considering the rain and greens were impeccable! We had great food before and after and every single staff member we encountered were friendly, helpful and accommodating! This place is a real gem that takes huge pride in itself and visible investment continually back into the course. See you again soon.

Room hired for 60th birthday party very friendly staff couldn't be more helpful. Always clearing down tables chatting to people good with the children. The food was amazing buffet meal with potato, salmon, quiche, giant onion rings and meats. 😎

Considering it's the middle of winter, and the recent stormy and utterly intolerable weather we've all faced, to play this golf course on a Sunday morning, for £25 each, with not a temporary green in sight, proper tee boxes (mats on the par 3s but that's standard practice in winter everywhere pretty much), and there to be no issues with boggy ground, standing water etc - is a testament to how well look after this course is. There is no better value golf course in these conditions - a thoroughly enjoyable day

Really enjoyed 18 holes here on a windy afternoon. Plenty of room, great layout making good use of the contours of the ground/ elevation changes and true greens. Bunkers looked spot on. Fairways were suffering a little from lack of rain like everywhere but very playable and not rock hard. Good value too with a county card and forgiving. One of my best rounds ever

Our group had a lovely afternoon at Belton Park, Howard gave us a very friendly welcome, the course was in great condition for the time of year and we enjoyed playing surrounded by the herd of deer. The third hole is one of my favourites with a wonderful view of Belton House. Thank you.

My hubby and I had our wedding reception at Belton Park Golf Club in July of this year and I cannot fault our experience. Im sorry its taken so long for me to write this review!! I specifically want to thank Matt and the lovely ladies on his team who helped on the day. You're all a credit to the club as you went above and beyond for making our evening so perfect and exactly how we wanted it to be. We had so much fun and our guests were well looked after! From beginning to end, Matt helped us with the planning, he was very attentive and made the entire process seamless. The food was plentiful and you really get a lot for value of money! We were also taken around the golf course on the carts so we could take photographs, which was really special! The landscape around the course is beautiful so we got some lovely photos. Three of us recently had the pleasure of playing at Belton Park, and what a fantastic day it was. There was a warm and friendly welcome in the Pro Shop followed by friendly and accommodating staff in the clubhouse. The course itself was in excellent condition, with challenging greens, which were fast with subtle borrows. The fairways were beautifully manicured, with natural habitat where appropriate. There is a great flow to the holes and slight changes in elevation, which add to the appeal of the course. I would highly recommend Belton Park to anyone looking for a top-notch golfing experience with excellent service.

This is a good golf course for beginners usually well kept but when we went it was not cut very well and the greens needed rolling. Not a very busy place but quite a good course. Cheap to play 5 quid for adults then 1 quid for under 16.

Just got back from a two night stay, nice friendly staff, our evening meal was delicious! We had a very relaxing stay, plus an excellent facial and back massage by a lovely lady named Deidre- thankyou! The gym is good and we enjoyed the spa. Our room was nice and warm and homely but the only thing that let it down was how thin the walls are! You can literally hear a pin drop in the room next door, thus were woke up by the people in the next room faffing about in the morning - the only reason we wouldn’t return.

What a great experience! Every member of staff was brilliant during our stay! Original we only planned to stay from 22nd to the 24th however unfortunately our Christmas plans Changed last minute and we had to stay an extra two nights! However the staff looked after us and made us comfortable during the Christmas break! Food was fantastic and the rooms were spacious enough to fit a family of 5 comfortably! The only thing I’d say is the pools could do with an update but can appreciate that’s a big cost and doesn’t deter from the fact the place is worth 5 stars! Thank you everyone at Belton this Christmas you were great!

Such a lovely experience. Room was lovely and evening meal was faultless as was the staff . Bathsheba was my therapist. The massage was wonderful and Bathsheba made the experience extra special. Felt like I'd known her forever and had such a giggle. The staff gave exceptional service and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely visit again. Thank you

We had a two night stay. The spa treatments were amazing, the hotel was lovely, and the staff were great. But we were disappointed with the very limited vegan menu. It only covered two meals, I had the same lunch both days. The restaurant wouldn't do anything different for the second evening meal, so we ordered a takeaway from a local curry house, which was amazing.

We were here for a spa day and it didn't disappoint. Use of the swimming pool, hot tub, steam room, sauna and relaxation room. Ours also included an afternoon tea plus 2 x 25min treatments of choice. My companion is dairy free and the afternoon tea for her was just as good as mine. Very accommodating. The staff were also really friendly. Lovely day all round

Played the Lakes Course after the recent cold snap, so everything (tees, greens, lakes, bunkers, fairways and rough! 😂) were frozen. Despite the recent horrendous weather, the course was in excellent condition. Really interesting layout, no two holes are the same, and as suggested in the name of this particular course, plenty of water to navigate around! The staff we encountered in the golf shop and in the bar afterwards were very friendly, polite and helpful, and the interior of the hotel/bar/restaurant is on par with The Belfry - Very stylish and classy, with a welcoming vibe to the entire complex. Looking forward to coming back in the spring when it's a bit warmer!

2 couple went for 2 nights and the men played golf. The golf course was excellent kept and wonderful to play on . The time delay between players needs looking into as there were a few queues on the greens at times. The hotel and staff are a credit to Belton Woods. Enthusiastic and knowledgeable, nothing was to much trouble. Everything was clean and stylish. The rooms were very large and so was the bathroom. Not a lot of pressure out of our shower but adequate. All in all a great weekend away. Thanks 😊

Lucky enough to play the lakes course twice for work, the course was in incredible condition, plenty of fairways to attack, some stunning water holes. Hotel is amazing too, looks incredibly chique and food was amazing. Would definitely go back

The hotel needs an update as it is getting very tired in places. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. Bar prices were a bit steep but the food was good especially the breakfast. The golf courses were both in reasonable condition and proved a good test of golf.
