Came across A Mellor out of necessity when my boiler broke on Xmas day in 2020. They replaced radiators and my boiler quickly and for a reasonable price. They've been servicing my boiler every year since and have always been friendly, knowledgeable, flexible, and great at communicating.. Couldn't be happier with the service.

They are an honest hard-working family business. When we had problems with our newly installed electric boiler due to a manufacturing error, mellor pulled out all the stops to make sure they did whatever they could to help us out in a very difficult situation. Rest assured whatever job you get done by them big or small the job will be done to the best standard possible in the end and they did not ask us to pay the installation fee until we had a working boiler! Our boiler broke down over a weekend. An engineer came to look at it and estimated that it was uneconomical to repair and recommended that we consider a replacement. I filled out an online form on the Worcester website and was contacted within 30mins by Lacey Plumbing & Heating. A survey was conducted the following morning to ascertain what was required and a quote for an equivalent modern replacement was sent over a couple of hours later. We were happy with the quote but obviously needed the work to be done ASAP as we had no heating or hot water in DECEMBER! I relayed this to their office and they managed to get the whole job completed within 24hrs. The engineer was extremely good. Not only was the job completed impeccably but the whole area was left spotless, our online controls were reinstated and a full handover and explanations of instructions was carried out before he left. Highly recommended!!

Had a leak under the bath, the office team at Lacey's were very helpful, they had no one available in the morning but called me back the same day when an engineer was available. The engineer was friendly and helpful, investigated the leak thoroughly and gave me some options for a fix, got a new part and fitted it quickly. Problem solved. It can be so hard to find reliable, quality people to work on your home. I'd definitely use Lacey's again.

Fantastic service. Very honest. I was quoted £400 and £220 to fix a radiator from other companies. James saw the pics and provided a very reasonable price. Was respectful in every way and even took shoes off when working. Cleaned up after. Great service - and I’ll be using James to replace a bathtub in the forseeable future. First had Johnny last year to service my boiler, he also serviced my gas fire, he is very good, he told me about my roof when he checked my chimney and he was right, he has also fixed my toilet, and my shower, and then I had a fault with my boiler and he fixed that to. He is polite and friendly and doesn't leave a mess, and his costs are reasonable, so if you need a plumber who knows what he's doing give him a call.

Jonny and his team have carried out a number of jobs for us now, including a boiler replacement at home and repairs/servicing on our rental property. Fantastic work as usual. I’ve had a new 6’ cast iron radiator put in today. Matt recommended one that would look good and easily heat the room. Lovely job! He knew it would look great even when I wasn’t sure; but I trusted him implicitly. He really knows his trade, works hard and is polite and friendly. Rob at Peak Plumbing went out of his way to help us over the phone first thing this morning when we had a plumbing emergency and then came to our house only an hour later. He checked the situation, gave us great advice then came back again later on with all the tools he needed to get the job done. He made sure he stayed until he fixed the pipe and even cleaned up as well. Professional, helpful, and a thoroughly nice bloke. Cannot recommend them higher!

Rob and Dan came to fit my new ideal boiler and hive thermostat today. The job was to remove the old boiler and replace it with a new one in a new location. Both the guys are extremely professional. The install is amazing we couldn’t be happier with it. They are super easy to get on with and made the whole process very easy with very little disruption. The job was booked in good time and we were very happy with the competitive price and their advice on products was spot on. The plumber from a previous company couldn't fix the problem quickly due to a delay in getting a part.my daughter recommended I contact Manchester plumbing & Heating (Sale) who advised me what I should do next to get my boiler fixed quickly. I contacted AJ Marsden to upgrade my elderly relatives boiler. Having used them myself at my previous address I knew I could rely on them. Andy, Dean and their team did a top job upgrading a very old boiler to a brand new Worcester Bosch combi boiler. From point of contact and initial survey all the way through to completion they did a fantastic job. They worked hard to get the new boiler working the same day to ensure my relatives had heating and hot water. First class job from Mike and his team, I would not hesitate to recommend them. We were looking to change a 25 year old boiler to a more efficient model. I had quotes from a few companies and whilst Mike's was competitive, price alone was not the reason for choosing him to complete the work. Mike initially came out and talked me through the various options in detail, his knowledge of the latest models on the market was obvious, as was the professional way he came across - unlike one of the other companies I got to quote. Mike is involved in the installation personally, his hands on approach gives you confidence in the answers to any questions you raise - rather than sending a 'salesman' who are unable to answer all your queries truthfully. On installation day, Mike and his team of 3 others arrived nice and early. There was a fair amount of work involved, altering pipework, removing hot water cylinder, loft tanks etc. The 4 of them worked tirelessly all day (fuelled by many cups of tea / coffee!). One thing that stood out for me during the installation was the time he took to make sure the younger members of his team fully understood, asking their opinions, all part of an experienced guy wanting to pass that knowledge on.

Mike will always tell you how it is and run through all the options, not just try and flog you the work that costs the most. A highly reputable company who you can trust to look out for the customers interests. Annual reminders for boiler service as well which are very useful so it’s one less thing to keep track of!!!

I had an issue with my boiler not igniting. I phoned this company. He talked me through the fault and he established the problem. All sorted within a few minutes. He could have come out and charged me for his time but he didn't. Very professional and very honest. I would have no hesitation on using their services again.

Mike and his team did a great job fitting a brand new boiler in our house. Communication was great and the team were all super professional. I could tell he was very experienced by the direction and information he was giving to his team. Mike made sure all the TRVs were in the best location, the wooden box panels surrounding the boiler were cut in the most aesthetic way, and ensured that I had full understanding of the controls and boiler app before they left. Very efficient, quality workmanship and £700 cheaper than those clowns at British Gas. I would definitely recommend, and shall certainly be contacting them for any future plumbing issues.
