We contacted the company on Monday, and by Wednesday we had a new boiler. Excellent, efficient and value for money service. All staff were polite and did exactly what they said they would do, all turning up at the promised time. Office staff are very helpful and efficient.

They are an honest hard-working family business. When we had problems with our newly installed electric boiler due to a manufacturing error, mellor pulled out all the stops to make sure they did whatever they could to help us out in a very difficult situation. Rest assured whatever job you get done by them big or small the job will be done to the best standard possible in the end and they did not ask us to pay the installation fee until we had a working boiler! Came across A Mellor out of necessity when my boiler broke on Xmas day in 2020. They replaced radiators and my boiler quickly and for a reasonable price. They've been servicing my boiler every year since and have always been friendly, knowledgeable, flexible, and great at communicating.. Couldn't be happier with the service.

I would highly recommend. I had been having trouble finding replacement bath taps with an old style fitting. James went the extra mile and managed to find replacements and fit them where other plumbers hadn't.

Fantastic service. Very honest. I was quoted £400 and £220 to fix a radiator from other companies. James saw the pics and provided a very reasonable price. Was respectful in every way and even took shoes off when working. Cleaned up after. Great service - and I’ll be using James to replace a bathtub in the forseeable future. First class job from Mike and his team, I would not hesitate to recommend them. We were looking to change a 25 year old boiler to a more efficient model. I had quotes from a few companies and whilst Mike's was competitive, price alone was not the reason for choosing him to complete the work. Mike initially came out and talked me through the various options in detail, his knowledge of the latest models on the market was obvious, as was the professional way he came across - unlike one of the other companies I got to quote. Mike is involved in the installation personally, his hands on approach gives you confidence in the answers to any questions you raise - rather than sending a 'salesman' who are unable to answer all your queries truthfully. On installation day, Mike and his team of 3 others arrived nice and early. There was a fair amount of work involved, altering pipework, removing hot water cylinder, loft tanks etc. The 4 of them worked tirelessly all day (fuelled by many cups of tea / coffee!). One thing that stood out for me during the installation was the time he took to make sure the younger members of his team fully understood, asking their opinions, all part of an experienced guy wanting to pass that knowledge on.

Mike and his team did a great job fitting a brand new boiler in our house. Communication was great and the team were all super professional. I could tell he was very experienced by the direction and information he was giving to his team. Mike made sure all the TRVs were in the best location, the wooden box panels surrounding the boiler were cut in the most aesthetic way, and ensured that I had full understanding of the controls and boiler app before they left. Very efficient, quality workmanship and £700 cheaper than those clowns at British Gas. I would definitely recommend, and shall certainly be contacting them for any future plumbing issues.

I had an issue with my boiler not igniting. I phoned this company. He talked me through the fault and he established the problem. All sorted within a few minutes. He could have come out and charged me for his time but he didn't. Very professional and very honest. I would have no hesitation on using their services again.

Excellent service from Mike and his team. Quality work easily arranged from having a new boiler fitted to getting an annual service arranged and completed. Mike will always tell you how it is and run through all the options, not just try and flog you the work that costs the most. A highly reputable company who you can trust to look out for the customers interests. Annual reminders for boiler service as well which are very useful so it’s one less thing to keep track of!!!

I was really impressed with the service from Liam & Samuel - they were extremely helpful, courteous and informative, and I had every confidence that they would do a good job ! Drain Doctor have been superb from start to finish. Following my query through a directory site, they quickly got in touch to arrange a visit for a blocked drain. Initial attempts to clear this didn’t work, so they came back at a later date to try using a jet, but this too came against issues. The boss, Liam, came himself to check it out, and then came back later again with a special camera to get a proper look, which revealed a mass of roots in the pipe. The team therefore returned at a later date to excavate down a metre and see if the obstruction could be blasted out, but when this didn’t work, they came back within 24 hours with a mechanical cutter that mashed up seven metres of compacted earth and roots - victory at last. They then filled in the excavated area, put the slabs back down and even tidied up the area. The whole time, Liam was prompt and communicative, always explaining what had been tried and what they would try next at each step, and why. I could not fault the service delivered by Drain Doctor - prompt, courteous and thorough - and I would not hesitate to use them again!

We recently had a horrendous situation with a blocked drain leading into our septic tank. We called Drain Doctor and told Nicola about our situation and she advised us that she would have someone with us the same day to assess the problem. Liam and Asim arrived and thankfully took control. They checked everything thoroughly, including the entrance to the tank, which was clear then worked very professionally and bravely to clear the blockage. Myself and my husband had tried earlier with our own drain rods to no avail. They cleared the blockage and cleaned the area. Liam and Asim then showed me using their camera system that the drain was completely cleared. This was a massive reassurance that the problem was solved. I would definitely recommend Drain Doctor. I rang on behalf of my 80 year old mum who was having water seeping into her house through drains and plug holes. The lovely receptionist (Nicola) booked an appointment and shifted other jobs around to fit my mum in so it would be as early as they can The 2 lads turned up and were very polite, hard working and very professional. They sourced the blockage and rectified it and even reported on repairs that will need doing in the near future. Would highly recommend Drain Doctor and definitely give it 10/10. Thank you so much

Where do I start. Called him and he was at my house within the same day, bang on time and got straight on the job. Extremely nice guy and very charismatic. Makes you feel very at ease with the fact he has extensive plumbing experience. He also fixed my toilet for me out of good will too and charged a very fair price that we paid him a few pound extra. Couldn’t recommend ‘the boiler fitters’ highly enough they fit me a brand new boiler plus new central heating system plus new radiators and new hive thermostat. all in 3 days didn’t leave a mess haven’t had a problem, they talked me through everything and were genuinely nice and professional from start to finish will definitely be using these guys in the future !!

It took 3 attempts to diagnose and repair to continued loss of pressure to our boiler. While it was frustrating, we must say JB Heating stuck with it and resolved the problem. In addition, not only was the engineer very polite and courteous, the admin back at the office keep us fully informed each time from booking the appointments to confirming the time of the engineer’s arrival, as well as responding with further updates. The engineers arrived at allotted time. Boiler delivered at the same time as engineers. Made sure we had water for day before turning off. Surfaces covered with dust sheets. Old boiler removed and new one fitted. Pipework altered to suit new boiler. Neat work - looks like spirit level and plumb line used. All rubbish removed and areas cleaned on finishing. Paperwork filled in and controls demonstrated to me. Would definitely recommend using this firm.

It was a bit of a non standard job since our old boiler was Biomass, it lead to a few complications but the team handled them all well and made sure they were solved before they finished. For non standard jobs like ours I would recommend asking for a visit to survey the job rather than looking at it remotely in order to get a more accurate quote and time frame. However the company provided us several quotes and options. Their communication was good and it was a particularly difficult job which they found a way to complete.

MGB highly recommended by me. Excellent speedy service, took real care of our home while working on it and did an great job at a reasonable price. We had a boiler fault. Matthew diagnosed it quickly and got us running again with a temporary  fix on our *22 year old* boiler but we needed a new one (no surprise). He and Steve fitted it in a day leaving us clean, tidy and best of all, warm! Have arranged further work with them in the future.
