Tom is a very helpful gentleman, who went above and beyond to help us. We had a boiler to install in his area but it was to far for us to travel. I contacted Tom of Parkes Plumbing and Heating on a Friday afternoon just before Xmas. He attended site late in the evening and returned on the Saturday morning to fit the replacement boiler. We will be keeping his number in a very safe place for future. Thanks again Tom , keep up the good work. Absolute Pleasure to do business with you.

We were a new customer, and Tom came out the same day when we had major issues with our boiler and got us up and running. After deciding to invest in a new boiler, this was ordered and fitted quickly. Professional, speedy and great service.

I contacted Tom about having a boiler service carried out and he got back to me very quickly with a quote. The quote was very reasonable and we arranged for a time for him to come and service the boiler. He arrived on time and was very polite/professional. I thought he was very knowledgeable about his products and would not hesitate to use him again in the future.

I was literally having a nightmare with my plumber, asking for money up front, then not turning up and then when he did only doing a few hours. It was stressing me out. The job had gone on far too long and our relationship was getting tested. I decided to terminate his contract. I knew trying to get another plumber to complete someone else’s work was going to be difficult. However, I spoke with Paul @Daley Plumbing, he was kind, understanding and happy to take on the works and complete the plumbing in my kitchen and bathroom. It was an absolute pleasure to find a tradesman who did the following :- 1) turned up on time 2) fully explained their findings (with evidence) 3) gave a comprehensive quote and return time 4) left the premises clean and tidy 5) returned when they said they would 6) carried out the work quietly and efficiently 7) left a job sheet specifying the works done 8) billed the same as quoted Paul was a gentleman throughout my dealings with him on the phone and was happy to respond to queries via WHATSAPP at what may be considered non working hours. Matt who did the work was polite, respectful of his surroundings and willing to take the time to explain, in simple terms, the work done and why it was required. I'll certainly use them again and would be more than happy to reference their work.

Danny did our boiler service last year and as he'd arrived on time, worked efficiently and tidily (and was someone I felt comfortable to have in the house) I had already decided I'd be a regular customer. Fast forward to the coldest day of the year arrived and the boiler decided not to work so I called Danny - not only did he come out that same day and fix it, he didn't overcharge for an emergency call out and it was all done and dusted by the time I got home. An absolute star, highly recommend.

Good to get great service. After being let down by my insurers first choice ( apparently they cancelled my emergency call out) they contacted Plumbcare Yorkshire who got Liam out within a couple of hours who fixed my leaking toilet that had been spewing water since 3am. Plumbcare repaired our boiler (replaced the heat exchanger). We are delighted with how quickly the repair was done, and they are easily contactable via their call centre. I feel Plumbcare could better communicate the repair process and timescales with their customers. However, I also acknowledge that in this matter, Plumbcare acted as a subcontractor to an insurance company, which was acting as a subcontractor to the energy company where I bought the boiler insurance policy. Thus, it was not clear who my best point of contact was in a weekend emergency. Overall, the claim was processed efficiently. Thank you.

Had a brilliant plumber around from Plumbcare this evening (sorry didn’t get his name). Had a leak in our toilet. He came around, diagnosed the fault, took the toilet apart, fitted new bolts and gasket and resolved the problem, all within the hour. Very polite, very professional and a credit to your company. This was my first time using SDW & I am very pleased I did. First initial phone call last week I was given instruction over the phone to get my boiler back up and running - they were very patient and understanding despite being extremely busy. My second phone call today I needed someone to come out to the house, within the same day they have been out to the house and got my boiler back working within the hour. Efficient, reliable & competitively priced! When British Gas told me in 2013 that they could no longer get the parts for my 30 yr old boiler I turned to SDW plumbing! For over 10yrs they serviced my boiler & kept it running! Had I changed my boiler when advised by British Gas I would have probably been on my 3rd boiler by now! House move means I will no longer need their services for my home but I could recommend this company to anyone! 😀

Rang Thermoman in evening as my boiler stopped working . He came out first thing the next morning and quickly sorted the problem out. I then arranged for it to be serviced the following week. On both occasions he arrived at exactly the time he said he would, was very friendly and professional in his work and left the place spotlessly clean. Competitively priced, and I will be using him again for any future work on heating system and annual service.

First class jobs by Tom at R Toomes. He arrived on time and explained exactly what was needed, including making recommendations about the tap we should buy. Then he fitted the tap and mended the fault with the toilet efficiently and cleanly. Excellent job!

Excellent service provided. We had no hesitation in using R Toomes & Son due to them carrying out works for friends and family members in the past. We required a complete replacement heating/water system which involved the removal of an old back boiler and pipe work including the first stages of a bathroom installation. This work was carried out during a time the house was empty so installation was a bit easier thanks to carpets and floorboards already up in places. The 4 man team were extremely polite and professional. I have no hesitation in recommending them to others for similar work.

Did an excellent high standard job when we had an en-suite bathroom fitted. Just over a year later we had a very minor (not urgent) leak at the shower controls. They responded and fixed the problem within a couple of hours! Excellent service and quality yet again.
