Stayed at the swan during February. Lovely quaint hotel with fabulous staff. Lily was our host in the restaurant and was fantastic at her job. We were a group of four and couldn’t recommend the food highly enough. The chef Darren served up the most gorgeous food, absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend this hotel.
Had a family Sunday lunch 4 adults 1 baby. Roasts were superb, large portions, cooked to perfection. Good selection of optional sides, especially good were the pigs on blankets. Deffo will order those again. Service was faultless, quietly efficient and effective. Will definitely return, even without the January 25% offer.
I had a wonderful stay at the Swan Hotel in Alton and can’t recommend it enough! Mandy, the manager was exceptionally attentive and kind, going out of her way to ensure everything was perfect during our visit. The breakfast was a highlight of our stay. For just £12.50, it was not only amazing but also excellent value for money. The continental breakfast offered a wide array of options, catering to every taste, which was a pleasant surprise. Our room was spacious, spotless, and featured incredibly comfortable beds – perfect for a restful night. The hotel’s location added to the charm, nestled in a quaint area that has a lovely small village feel to it. What truly made our stay special was the staff. Everyone we encountered was warm and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and am already looking forward to my next visit!
10/02/2025 Has had a lovely meal at my favourite place in town. The Swan, Alton you’ve done it again. Thank you Chef Darren, the food was amazing and 10/10 and thank you to the waitress tonight who checked in with us and asked if we needed any extras 🙂
