The Carnarvon Arms Hotel was a wonderful place to stay after a day at Highclere Castle. The room was great and the staff were so friendly. Our breakfast was one of the best that we have ever had in the UK. Our only issue was the noise from the highway but we turned on our noise maker and that solved the problem. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Room great for short business trip. Wifi ok. Some road noise but slept fine in very comfortable bed. Staff excellent. Evening meal was just ok but nothing special.
Good stop over, especially if visiting Highclere Castle. The rooms were warm and clean, with good quality bedlinen and towels. The dinner in the pub was pretty good. Breakfast was cooked, with not much on offer if you didn't want cooked. The pastries weren't fresh.
