I grew up in California eating Mexican food, and I always approach UK Mexican restaurants with scepticism. This place is 100% legit. Probably the best I've been to. Anywhere else in the UK that I can compare it to treats Mexican cuisine like a fine dining experience, charging £10+ for a single taco. Here, I had 3 tacos for £7.95, and they were outstanding. My wife had a delicious mixed pepper, vegetarian burrito and we shared chips and guac. Everything was so good that I had to ask the owner if he was Mexican. It turns out that he's just a well seasoned chef with a passion for cooking authentic food. If I lived in Southampton, i'd be here at least once a week.
Just visited Mexifun this afternoon. What a find!! Tacos were fantastic. We also had chips and guac & Churros to end. Very reasonably priced and really nice service from the owner. Highly recommend to anyone in Southampton.
Looking for authentic Mexican street food!!! Look no further!!!! Small place but don't let the size fool you!!!! What they lack in size, they make up in big taste. The portions are decent size. Service was awesome and the ambiance was amazing.
Fantastic little diner. Service is excellent and the food is top notch. I am not a burrito lover but eat theirs with enthusiasm. Only one suggestion: get some hotter hot sauce!
Excellent authentic Mexican food! The best Mexican food I have found in the UK. Lovely service from the owner and appropriate portion sizes.
