A Perfect Evening at The Six Bells, Beenham I had the pleasure of dining at The Six Bells in Beenham recently, and I can honestly say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. I ordered the lamb shepherd’s pie, and it was nothing short of perfection – beautifully cooked, rich in flavor, and incredibly satisfying. You could taste the care and quality that went into every bite. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of charm, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. The service was equally outstanding – attentive, friendly, and genuine without being intrusive. From the moment I walked through the door, I felt truly welcomed. If you’re looking for fantastic food, exceptional service, and a wonderful dining atmosphere, The Six Bells is an absolute must-visit. I can’t wait to return! Highly recommended.
We went to the Six Bells today for a post Santa visit lunch with our baby and parents and were absolutely blown away. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, exactly what you’d hope for from an authentic village pub. With the beautiful conservatory section of the restaurant letting in so much natural light that even on a dreary winter day like today the restaurant still felt bright and open. The staff were all very attentive, polite and friendly as well as being quick to fulfill any requests. They accommodated our pushchair perfectly in their restaurant space and continually checked in on us to make sure all was going well. As for the food we pre-ordered from the festive set menu which we found to be incredible value for money, especially considering how they go out of their way to ensure the produce is fresh and locally sourced, which I found to be such a nice touch to helping the local community. The food itself was phenomenally cooked and beautifully presented, sadly my photos don’t do it justice. The flavours were Devine giving some delicious twists on well loved classic dishes like beef wellington and turkey dinner. Overall an amazing place that I will definitely be taking my family to again!
**Under new ownership since October 2024. We popped in for a pint on Saturday early evening. The new owner Kordian is friendly and interested in his customers and made time to come over for a chat with us. As someone who grew up in the village I am excited to hear his plans for the pub - new menu and restaurant at the back, redecorating the pub at the front to make it a cosy country pub vibe, pizzas, bread for sale etc. The atmosphere is really good. The fire was burning in a cold November night. Neck Oil on tap. Thumbs up from us.
I recently visited The Six Bells, and I can confidently say it was an experience to remember! The roast dinner was hands down the best I’ve ever had. Every element was cooked to perfection – from the succulent, tender meat to the crispy-yet-fluffy roast potatoes. The Yorkshire puddings were massive and golden, and the rich gravy tied everything together beautifully. The accompanying vegetables were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. It’s clear the kitchen team takes real pride in what they serve. The atmosphere was equally as impressive. The Six Bells strikes the perfect balance between being friendly and fun. The staff were warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we stepped in. The lively yet cozy vibe made it the ideal spot for a relaxed Sunday afternoon. Whether you’re catching up with friends or enjoying a family meal, this is the kind of place that keeps you coming back. If you’re looking for an exceptional roast dinner and a pub with charm, The Six Bells is a must-visit! I can’t wait to return.
The place has been under new ownership recently (September 2024), my wife and I had a meal there saturday night. It was a really nice atmosphere with some people dining, some in for drinks and others working on their laptops. The main menu is fish based so we have hake and sea bass, but there are 3 boards that go with it very nicely (cheese, meats and bruschetta). All reasonably priced, would definately recommend.
