Amazing , tasty authentic INDIAN PUNJABI food. Good portions. A variety of different dishes which aren’t available in most other Indian restaurants nearby. Great staff and very attentive. This will definitely be our local Indian! It’s a little gem hidden in the outskirts of Romsey.. Keep up the good work!

A group of 14 had lunch in this lovely pub/restaurant. Great choice of food at incredibly reasonable prices and dabulous service. We were all served our meals at the same time which is very rare these days. Lovely people...highly recommend

Visited here for dinner on Sunday the 9th of March. Food was delicious, staff were welcoming. Dog friendly and very accommodating to the needs of food requirements and a good menu of Gluten free foods. Will definitely return here.

My partner and I had a lovely visit to the Wheatsheaf and cannot recommend it enough. Due to the time we went, we only wanted a light snack and so had the Camembert sharing platter and it was delicious! Staff were friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was cosy and welcoming - a truly lovely pub.

Friendly staff and lovely food. Had a roast and it was perfect, could hardly finish it and the pricing was great. Would recommend to anyone local looking for a nice meal with the family.

Booked for lunch x 4… warm, pleasant surrounds, good proper pub ambience, attentive staff and home cooked food… with very ample servings. What more can you ask for? Much enjoyed my lamb chops followed by apple pie and custard. Pie of the day was excellent. Recommended 👍

First time visiting The Wheatsheaf - Just had a Sunday roast which did not disappoint! Everything came out piping hot and fresh. Good selection of veg - brocolli, carrots, parsnips, red cabbage, massive Yorkshire puddings. We had the cauliflower cheese on the side which was lovely, would definitely recommend. The roast beef was so tender and full of flavour, great portion sizes that none of us could finish. The pub itself is cosy and inviting, especially with their Christmas decorations up. The staff there were so friendly and welcoming and could not do enough for you - absolutely going back soon.

Our first visit was a delight! Just stumbled on the Rockingham as a half way point to meet friends and we had a great time. Really super lunch with fabulous food and very relaxed which we truly enjoyed. And then a very relaxed amble along the tracks beind the restaurant ... wonderful. Until next time, thank you all.

We stopped for some lunch after a long dog walk. We were happy to see it was dog friendly & they were serving food all day on a Saturday. We ordered a burger & a lasagne. They were very good. Home made. Good portions. Very tasty. Quick service. Polite staff.

Absolutely best service, food, and value in the area. I can't recommend the Mill Arms enough, whether you are looking for a quick lunch, a special dinner, or a group event. Food is always first for me and I love the varied menu that has plenty of vegetarian options. Service is always with a smile and it's nice to be in a family-run establishment.

Visited for food while staying in the area with family. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There were 10 of us in total and they were able to accommodate us all comfortably without us being crammed in. The food was very good, with great portion sizes. There were a few requests for adjustments to the menu and the kitchen got our order completely right. A friendly atmosphere, dog friendly, and I will definitely visit again.

MY room was beautifully appointed with every detail carefully considered. It was clear that a lot of thought had gone into creating a comfortable and luxurious space. And the breakfast? Forget tired buffets! Here, you order off a menu and are treated to a truly delicious and satisfying start to the day. Honestly, I can't recommend this hotel enough. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway with top-notch service and a beautiful setting, look no further. You'll be hard-pressed to find a better place to stay.

Just had a spontaneous dinner for a Sunday evening. Great standard for a late roast and both plates executed superbly. Faultless. One of the best places around which often gets overlooked imo. Always friendly staff and atmosphere just lovely.

We stayed one night at The White Horse and it was a very enjoyable experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was very comfortable and clean, and the food was good quality, tasty and well cooked. The building has an interesting history and it is situated right in the middle of the town so extremely convenient for local amenities and places of interest.

We had an absolutely fantastic Sunday lunch at this lovely hotel. It was beautifully presented & delicious. The service was excellent. It was faultless. We will definitely be dining there again.

Lovely food home cooked and could tel. Pre-book is my key piece of advice, they’re popular. Don’t be disheartened by the feel of the place, it is an old school pub vibe but the food is amazing quality.

They say don't judge a book by its cover!!!! Well this is a fabulous little country pub 😊the food is above and beyond all expectations!!! Steak nights!!!! Cooked to perfection!!! Fish night amazing!!! Steak and kidney pie dad cleaned his plate!!! Can't rate this highly enough!!! If ever you are passing!! Don't !!!! Fab food..the homemade chicken and ham pie was great with the mash and veg cooked just the way I like. Didn't have to wait long for food either. Food was lovely and hot..we got there as it opened but was filling up fast as we left..very popular place..landlady was friendly and helpful..

The location was chosen for a date and absolutely could not fault it. Food was excellent, atmosphere nice and relaxed and staff very welcoming and engaging. I was lucky enough to be on a date with a beautiful lady which I thought was going well...the waiter obviously agreed as he gave us Breakfast menus instead of Dessert ones! 🤔😙🤣

Really enjoy coming here to eat. Service was a little slow getting started, as there seemed to be one lad on duty doing everything bar the cooking! However, he coped brilliantly and our food arrived in good time and was excellent.

We held a post-funeral gathering at The Cromwell Arms. The area we reserved was nicely furnished and well arranged. We ordered a sandwich buffet, cake and tea/coffee. All very lovely. There was ample parking. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Would happily recommend.

Took my mum here for an afternoon tea and couldn’t have been more impressed. Not only was the location stunning and it was in a lovely retirement village on beautiful grounds, but the staff were so friendly and attentive (especially Annie) and the food was so fresh and delicious. A must recommend, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will definitely be coming again.

We had a small group of friends enjoying a Christmas menu. We pre-ordered the main course from across the menu and ordered starters and puddings during the meal. Wide selection of wines beers and soft drinks. Excellent food Terrific service Very enjoyable pub restaurant. And the cost for 8 was very reasonable worked out at £50 per person incoming all drinks and three courses. Thanks for making our meal just right.

We have been for dinner here before but this was the first time we stayed as well. The room we had was a good size, quiet, beautifully decorated and the bed super comfortable. The bathroom looked brand new, it was absolutely spotless and with a great shower. Dinner was really excellent! I had the beetroot salad followed by trout which were both delicious. My partner had a meze starter and vegetarian red curry which was one of the best I have tasted! The place has a great atmosphere and the service excellent .. overall, highly recommended!

What a super pub, very modern with all amenities. Our room had a lovely comfortable bed, shower room, with no leaks,as is the usual case. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant, My belly pork was very tasty with plenty of veg. Lastly the car park had plenty of spaces for guests. Many thanks

Went Southampton to visit relatives & they brought us to this French restaurant in Romsey (about 20 mins drive from Southampton) for lunch. Love the wine! The red wine tasted so fine & smooth 😋 and the food too are very well prepared :-) The dessert is a bit sweet though… We went on a Friday afternoon, & it was not crowded so really had a good time there :-)

Probably the best dining experience in Romsey. Authentic menu, the chef and staff are mostly French, including the owners. I’d recommend the fillet steak, it’s giant and cooked perfectly. Don’t be afraid of the snails, they taste great and you wouldn’t know what they are. No frogs legs unfortunately. The starter and salads are larger servings than you would expect. At the end of your meal ask for the espresso martini with your pudding, you won’t be disappointed. Free parking in private rear courtyard, (spaces are limited), but lots of other paid parking just outside the rear gates.
