I attempted a wedding fair at the holiday inn and event Themes immediately caught my eye the table display looked beautiful and I knew I I wanted them to decorate our venue. Unfortunately our wedding got cancelled three times down to covid but jodie was amazing and kept in contact with me all the way through. 5 stars are not enough! From the day I met Jodie she put my mind at ease! I didn't have a clue where to begin planning a wedding, Jodie patiently sat down with me (and my Pinterest board) and went through everything. Jodie made examples of the centerpieces I had shown her in our colour scheme and they were exactly what we had wanted. Closer to the date Jodie met with myself and my husband and made sure we had everything we needed and reminded us of things we'd forgotten along the way. Throughout the whole process Jodie was never pushy for us to spend more money and worked alongside us with our budget. On the day everything was beautiful and the time and effort spent on every little detail was obvious. I would recommend event themes for any occasion and will definitely be using them again for future events! Thank you!

I recently organised a surprise 30th birthday weekend for my boyfriend at Abbotstone Farm House, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The team at The Grange were incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to ensure everything remained a surprise. Communicating with Tara was a pleasure—she was always efficient and responsive, and no question or request felt too big or small. The thoughtful welcome hamper was such a lovely touch and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The stay itself was amazing. Abbotstone Farm House is warm, charming, and beautifully homely, with plenty of space to relax, play games, and enjoy meals together. We were fortunate to catch some late summer sun, which meant we could make full use of the tennis court, private pool, and the estate’s extensive grounds. The evenings were cool enough to light the fires, which added an extra element of cosiness to our stay. There are a number of great activities available around the estate to choose from, but in the end, our group opted for the cider-making and tasting workshop. Fred and Patrick expertly guided us through the whole process, from picking apples and pressing them for juice to explaining how cider is made and letting us sample some of their own creations. They were both knowledgeable and incredibly friendly, making the experience a highlight of the weekend. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. I can confidently say, on behalf of all our friends, that we highly recommend staying at Abbotstone Farm House. Whether you’re planning a family gathering or a weekend away with friends, this place is a fantastic choice—we're already looking for an excuse to return!

We hired the Lake House Cottage for a strategy away day, evening and stay over. The space worked perfectly for both the group strategy sessions and social side in the evening. The bedrooms are extremely comfortable and the surroundings serene and calm, perfect for stepping back, building trust and discussing the future. The team at The Grange were excellent, the food delicious and the break was an overall huge success, I can’t recommend this venue more highly. Ed W

We could not speak more highly of The Grange as a venue. The team support you right from square one becoming advisors, supporters, cheerleaders, rational but creative thinkers and friends. They have excellent supplier recommendations from caterers (Becka Cooper is a-class), florists (Wildbunch are so wonderful) and tech leads (Peachy Productions know the building like the back of their hand), to name a few. The nearby Abbotstone Farmhouse and Clock Tower make for superb guest accommodation where every commodity and need is thought of. We honestly can not fault any of it and as an events lead for almost a decade, the experience of planning our wedding there was just top tier. We adore them all and recommend it to everyone planning a wedding, party, away day, celebration and more!

The Grange was the first venue we viewed and, from the moment we arrived, we knew that this would be the place where we would celebrate our wedding! Julia made us feel so welcome from our first meeting and, throughout the planning process, we were incredibly well looked after by the whole team. Tara was brilliant in helping us to fine tune the wedding weekend - we booked all of the on-site accommodation to allow our family, plus the bridesmaids and groomsmen to celebrate with us for the whole weekend, which was the best decision ever! A separate review for the accommodation will follow. They also recommended amazing suppliers, such as Becka Cooper (our joyful caterer who is a certified culinary genius) Ward-Brown (our incredible and fun-loving photographer who captured the attached photos), Wildbunch (our wonderful floristry team who made the most spectacular floral arrangements), Whitwams (who used thoughtfully arranged lighting and sound to bring the Grange to life) and Allens (who provided the pristine table linen and beautiful crockery and glassware). Now, for the wedding day! The emotion I felt when our vintage bus bumbled along the driveway and we got our first glimpse of the Grange is difficult to put into words, but (as cheesy as it sounds) it was a dream come true. When we arrived, Julia, Tara and Amanda were waiting with glasses of fizz and beaming smiles. The two years of teamwork had paid off! 💞 Throughout the wedding reception, all three wonderful ladies were mingling with our guests, attentively looking after us all and ensuring everything went smoothly. They went above and beyond to ensure we had the time of our lives all day and night. They even gave us a personalised card and a bottle of The Grange sparkling wine! They also captured their own wonderful footage, which they made into a reel for us to enjoy when we woke up the next morning. Right up until Midnight, the whole team waiting staff, lead by Amanda, were kind and attentive to all of our guests. We have had so many compliments since the wedding about the Grange team and their attention to detail, warmth and friendliness. They have also been described by multiple guests as ‘the best looking staff team’ they have ever seen! We honestly feel as though we have gained a new family since we booked our wedding two years ago, the Grange experience is like no other and we will be forever grateful for it! ✨

My Husband and I had a bit of a chaotic start to wedding planning, starting without a wedding planner we booked a venue that fell through and were totally in over our heads. Then my TikTok algorithm presented me with Georgia, and I'm so glad it did. After Georgia scoured three different countries (for months), we then decided to have the wedding five minutes away from our home in Scotland- she didn't show one ounce of frustration. Admittedly, we were worried this was a bit less glamorous than the venues the MO team were used to but Georgia's priority is for her clients to have the wedding that is perfect for them. Georgia was professional, kind and patient through the many, many renditions of our wedding. Not only did she save the day, in the end she planned something that felt so intimate, personal and perfect for us. Georgia worked seamlessly with all of our vendors throughout the planning process, kept us on track with what we needed to be doing and was there to lend an ear if we ever felt overwhelmed. On the weekend of the wedding Georgia and her team (Bertie and Danny) were everywhere at once, they ensured the whole weekend ran exactly to plan. They worked tirelessly, but with smiling faces, they didn't show it. They are all brilliant and there wasn't a single guest who didn't mention how fantastic they were. The ability to plan an event down to such fine detail and yet maintain a sense of complete calm is a skill that should not be undervalued. Hazel & Natalie literally made our dreams come a reality!! They made the planning of decorating our venue (new place hotel) so easy right from the start of booking all the way up to our wedding day. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them & communication was absolutely amazing. We literally cannot thank them enough for making our day so perfect!

We adored everything about having Elizabeth James Events be apart of our Wedding. Everything provided looked amazing and we were so happy with it, especially the Festoon Frame. It created the cozy atmosphere we wanted for the ceremony and the show stopper backdrop for us at the wedding breakfast. It then was perfectly positioned for our evening guests as a backdrop photo op, so a real focal point throughout the day! Thank you for letting our florist add the flowers on, it was simply perfect! The light up love letters were a great feature for the dancefloor, and the light up love heart made a stunning addition to our decoration at the sweet table we had. The communication before was also spot on - with prompt replies and being so helpful answering all our questions.

Could not have asked for a better dance floor and light arrangement for our wedding. The dance floor with LED lights looked amazing and the large light up letters looked great. Working with Elizabeth Jane Events was also simple, super professional and an excellent experience. On the wedding day, the set up was so slick - they only had an hour between dinner finishing and dancing started. I didn't even notice the transition!! No issues at all. Everything was collected on time and with no issues the following day. Would highly recommend!

We hired large letters spelling ‘MR & MRS WILLIS’ for the dance floor of our wedding. They were perfect and just what we had in mind. Really added to the photos! We were very impressed with how easy delivery and collection was. Thank you so much!

I had an engagement ring ready to go for numerous weeks/months, but I just couldn't find the right moment or scenario that felt special enough. I then came across the proposal experts, and after a short consultation I had a list of 5 or 6 proposal ideas customised for me. They were carefully produced based on our discussion with included prices, descriptions, and pictures. After a couple more conversations we settled on Highcliffe castle, a setting safe from any poor October weather. They decorated the grand hall beautifully, organised an acoustic singer with my chosen song, a photographer, and constructed the scenario to enable the big surprise. My proposal could not have gone better, it was beautiful, we even got the weather so were able to head down to the beach for extra photos. If there is anyone out there wanting to propose, but unsure how you want to do it, eliminate the stress and get in touch with Nadia and Sophia, let them deal with it :)

Where to begin? We had our wedding day at The Manor Estate in August and the day surpassed any expectations, wants and dreams. We couldn’t have asked for anything more from the support given to us during the planning process, the day of set up through to the big day itself. We had our wedding here on June 15 2024 after finding this beautiful venue over a year beforehand when in our initial planning stages. We were initially drawn to the venue by the picturesque grounds and beautiful interiors. After a virtual tour and a face to face visit, we fell even more in love with the place and decided to go ahead and place our deposit. Over the next year, we planned our day which, due to the natural beauty of the barn and grounds, required us to need minimal decorations - we didn't want to distract from the natural features of the barn or the lovely outside areas. Pippa was amazing throughout the whole planning stage, ensuring we were well prepared in the run up to the big day. Her personality and relaxed yet professional attitude shone through during our initial meets and really helped us to reach the decision to use the venue for our special day. Due to the unpredictable British weather, our original plan of being married outside was decided for us - the day before, we made the call to get married inside the barn due to the unwanted rain we were having. Although a little disappointed to have missed out on using the beautiful space outside for our ceremony, it was actually a blessing as our inside ceremony felt more intimate and enabled all of our guests to hear our wedding vows. We still managed to get some great photos later in the day within that beautiful space by the river having taken advantage of some intermittent sunshine. Pippa was around to help set up beforehand and on the wedding day itself, she (and her mum and partner) made the day go smoothly. The turnaround of the venue's indoor space (from ceremony, to wedding breakfast, to evening reception) was seamless and everything was set up to our requests and it looked beautiful. The wedding day itself was just perfect for us despite the on/off rain and Pippa definitely played a part in enabling our beautiful day to go so well. My family and I stayed in the South Wing the night before and night of the wedding. The accommodation was faultless and helped to create that calm atmosphere you need just before your wedding day. Who'd have thought we'd be appreciative of a log fire in June! Using the bridal suite to get ready with my bridesmaids was a real highlight. We all had so much space to do our thing with our hair and makeup artist also being able to set up with ample space, and our photographer able to navigate between us all with ease to get those all important 'getting ready' shots. Some of our guests stayed in the Courtyard the night of the wedding and passed on their comments as to how clean and comfortable the accommodation was. All in all, I would urge anyone to consider the Manor Estate for their wedding venue as not only is it breathtakingly gorgeous, but the help with planning and the support throughout the whole day was impeccable. Pippa really helped to completely eliminate any wedding-stress which allowed for all of us to enjoy such an amazing day together. Pippa - thank you so much for having us for our wedding day. You've helped to create memories that we will all treasure for the rest of our lives together. We had a wonderful experience marrying at this venue. We wanted a beautiful setting with exclusive use for the full weekend, the flexibility to choose our catering options and lovely accommodation on site – we got all that and more at Manor Estate. Pippa is a delight to deal with, from the minute I met her I felt relaxed but knew that she would get things done! As it’s Pippa’s own business in her family estate, she really cares and we felt confident we would be well looked after, which we were. We had hoped to have the ceremony outside and although weather didn’t cooperate on the day, Pippa remained flexible and had both indoor/outdoor bars prepped in case there was the opportunity to be outside – which was wonderful when the sun shone after the ceremony for our drinks reception! The gardens are so pretty, there are so many beautiful photo opportunities. There is a good sized list of approved caterers to choose from which meant we had the flexibility to choose what suited us, whilst knowing that the caterers have done previous weddings at our venue. There is lovely accommodation on site (two separate wings), and with exclusive use for the weekend it meant that we could really enjoy the venue with our family rather than it all being over in a day. Being able to decorate the venue the day before really took the stress out of the preparations and Pippa was on hand to help and answer any questions, as she had been since the very beginning, always responsive and helpful. Pippa also went above and beyond helping my work colleagues coordinate a present to be delivered to the venue for us. We couldn’t have hoped for more and would highly recommend this beautiful venue.
