Amazing cafe with great pies and mash and co.puter games so much to look up as a sci fi gaming family it was right up our ally and we appreciated all the little touches... so impressed. Especially the posters and hand dryer.

Such a cool place, took lots of pics of the decor! Very reasonably priced. My chicken pie was great, but my mash was cold, the meat in my friend's beef pie wasn't very tender and his mash was cold too...however, the gravy and the liquor were top notch and, the pastry was fantastic and the flavours were great! We'd definitely go back ***update*** We went back! Friend made a better pie choice (BBQ chicken), mash was hot, pies were crisp and delicious, only thing that wasn't as good was the liquor this time. But I'd now give 4.5 stars. Staff also lovely

Went here today couldn't eat as was fully booked but did manage to have a quick drink and was a really cool place to visit inside was awesome the menu is only pies and they are very unquie and each table has a computer game that you can play unfortunately we did have one of these tables so didn't manage to test them out might have to come back when it less busy

Food is DELICIOUS - we went on a Saturday for lunch, and the vegan options did not disappoint. Generous portions and original ingredients. Loved by Don Bourguignon pie. The Not Dog pie is also great. Amazing decor for fans of video games / movies / series. Toilets are Star Wars themed. They have old video games available to play too! Couple of suggestions: Cleanliness - high chair for our child was really dirty, we had to use several baby wipes before we could sit him down in it. Waiters completely ignored him too (which seems to be very common in the UK... but children are people too!) Lots of great paraphernalia but a lot of it looks pretty dusty/dirty! Otherwise, we will be back to try the rest of the menu, thank you 😊

Pretty busy on a Sunday lunchtime so they took our number and buzzed us an hour and a half later (shame you can't book). Once there we all had a double stack of pancakes which were very filling and tasty. Perfect place for a treat, highly recommend.

Came for the pancake week specials, was not disappointed. I got a steak and egg 2 stack anf my partner got a buffalo chicken 1 stack. All delicious but she was the dinner winner. We shared the veggie tots which were lush as always.

Took my nephew for for a lovely lunch treat and was not disappointed. Food was excellent, staff were fantastic! Definitely worth every penny. Cant wait to come back and try the waffles 🥰😋

After visiting Josie’s in Winchester town centre now on multiple occasions I can assure anyone who goes an outstanding brunch selection! The menu is fantastic, not only are there multiple options for breakfast/all day brunch but everything is very reasonably priced for the quality and portions provided. I’d highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a great local brunch spot, I’m not directly for the area but I happily travel for places like this. The location of this particular cafe js slightly out the way of the town centre, however you will find there is normally a 30-45 minute wait time for a table (Approx for 2 people) which does allow plenty of opportunity to enjoy a walk in Winchester town centre while you wait!

It's such a nice place,and the food is fantastic! Made with local meat and home made buns, all the food is freshly cooked from the scratch. Everything we tried,from burgers and gyros to amazing desert,was to die for. Reasonable prices, very nice and polite staff. It's a hidden gem ,but once you tried , you will definitely come back.

A hidden gem! Great coffee and probably one of the best milkshakes I’ve had in a while. Waffles all cooked from fresh… well all food is cooked from fresh! Load of parking in the NHS carpark. You just have to go into the reception of the Ambulance HQ and turn right. 👍

I had the best gyros in a very long time, the taste brought me back to Greece. Perfectly done, along side with the most haloumi I had in a very long time. I absolutely recommend food here. Will try the burgers as well. What can I say ? Delicious!

First time visit today and won't be our last! Delicious food and great value for money. It is also a very extensive menu so loads to choose from.

Excellent food lovely friendly staff. Friendly locals The only reason i didn't give 5 stars was because it was cold. The staff tried to sort out the heating. But most of the customers in the restaurant were all sitting with there coats on whilst eating dinner. The waitress did offer us another table after our starters. Will definitely return but maybe in the summer.

We had to arrange a last-minute birthday lunch when our other plans suddenly went pear-shaped. The team did whatever they needed to do to accommodate us for, what was already, a pretty full session. They asked us to pre-order, which we were very happy to do, in order to help them out and they sent us the full restaurant menu by email. This is unlike many other places that send an extremely limited pre-order menu. It was very busy and the staff worked really hard to keep everything moving along well, while the food was excellent and very well presented. Price-wise, The Bugle is very good value, with the quality of the food being more than a match for the price tag. Fully recommend, we enjoyed our visit.

We came here for bottomless brunch. The food was amazing and the drinks were really good. Would recommend the candyfloss gin and tonic. Rosie looked after us and made sure we were always topped up. Would definitely recommend.

Had a festive brunch with the ladies at the Stable Winchester, place is easy to find and was quite hectic. Second floor was quite nice and homey but not too keen on seeing the manager standing right in front of the kitchen staff looking rather stressed the entire time we were there. Rest of the staff were quite attentive and very friendly. Could do with more cocktail options and better mocktails.

Popped in with my friend for lunch, and the stable has such a wonderfully cozy atmosphere with lovely staff. Had the Hawaiian Five-Oh and by far the best pizza I have had with such fresh ingredients and homemade dough

We tried the Christmas special- festive full monty and the pig on pillow. The pizza is nice and the crust is crunchy. There are different type of cider as well.

If we could give this pub 5 stars plus then we would!! Found this pub on google search whilst on a visit my family. We all decided to give it a go after reading the reviews and we were not disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious, every course perfectly cooked, very flavorsome, and well presented, absolute top compliments to the chef. The service was very good, our food arrived in a timely manner and was served with a smile, it was a great experience and we would highly recommend.........we are definitely going to come back when next in Winchester. Fabulous experience.

We were passing through and stopped for lunch here. Wasn't expecting such an amazing burger! It was very thick, juicy and full of flavour. The fries were nice and crunchy and well seasoned. Daughters sausages were delicious too. Cost around 30 quid to feed the both of us including a beer so not bad value for money. Staff were fantastic, very friendly. Definitely recommend

Fantastic choice of lunch venue. From placing a booking to leaving was perfect. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Everything we chose to eat was exceptional. Proper country pub home cooking at its best. Even the toilets were a pleasure to visit. Thanks so much for an awesome experience.

Our server Chris was very attentive, extremely polite and happy in his job. Which is lovely to see. He catered to all our needs. He is an asset to turtle bay. Good staff are very hard to come by and he is certainly a worth looking after. The food and drink were perfect 👌🏼 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Didn't know what to expect from Turtle Bay but was pleasantly surprised. Went for dinner - Food was excellent as were the 2 4 1 cocktails, service was polite and prompt even though it was a busy night. Would highly recommend a visit although..... If it's a quiet evening meal your after, probably best not go on a Saturday night as it was crowded and very noisy......but that can only be a sign of a popular establishment. Looking forward to going back.....

Loved loved LOVED it here.....We booked in for the bottomless brunch (late afternoon) It wasn't that busy but still good atmosphere. The food was fabulous...the cocktails were nice and plentiful.What made our visit was our waitress Abby she was very attentive and friendly an asset to the team.

A place filled with lots of bustles, happy hours with a good selection of cocktails. Sweet corn fritters were excellent but not for those who cannot tolerate spice.

The Ivy is a great place to eat with unusual food on offer. I had whisky barrel smoked venison tartare to start and goose, turkey, and duck shepherd's pie for my main. The staff were very attentive. My only complaint is the acoustics are very poor and we had to shout across the table in order to have a conversation. It is a popular place as it was packed on a Monday evening a week before Christmas.

One word; Amazing 👏 I ordered the roast and I was always sceptical because I love the old pub but was pleasantly surprised my only gripe was as i was eating I saw someone get the beef 😋 and got food envy 😅 nevertheless the roast was succulent, potatoes crisped to perfection and everything was moist and super tasty. Don't get me on the desserts. I could sit there and eat them all day. Sticky toffee pudding 🍮 is intense flavour on the mouth

Absolutely fabulous place. Staff exceptionally attentive. Food excellent. Exceeded our expectation. Great atmosphere. A celebration of my 80th Birthday. Champagne Hi Tea.. Even provided small cake with candle beautifully decorated.Will definately come back again. Not not just for an occasion. A lasting memory.

Lovely decor and the staff were friendly. A shout out to the toilets for being stylish and very clean. Food wise, the starters were delicious, squid and arancini are definitely recommended but the mains left a little to be desired. However, the chocolate / celebratory bombe on the other hand was amazing and the staff even wrote us a sweet message. I'd go again to try other food from the menu and would try the afternoon tea or the cocktails. 4.5/5 + £££

Well where do I begin with our wonderful dinner? Beautiful food, the most delicious bottle of wine we've ever enjoyed, gorgeous, cosy surroundings, and friendly service from welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable staff. We were given a little anniversary surprise making our visit even more unforgettable. We shall be back.

We decided to try this restaurant from my partners birthday lunch. Booking was really easy online, and they sent a reminder email a couple of days before to check i still wanted the table. We arrived a little early and they were more than happy to show us to our very comfortable round booth table. There was a good selection of wines by the glass and the bottle, as well as beers. We decided to do the lunch set menu, which was delicious, and well priced. At the end of the meal the discount via the set menu was £5 off each. We had bread to start which was fresh and crunchy. The Farmhouse Terrine was delicious served with the jam. We were pleased with our choice and the jam complemented it well. We both had the Pork Schnitzel, which was also delicious. The combination of anchovies and capers was great, the bits with the anchovy on were especially a highlight. The baby Gem was also really good. We finished our meal with delicious puddings, which weee both really good. A lovely venue in the centre of town. £50 a head for three courses and drinks. A delicious lunch

A fabulous hidden gem in central Winchester. The architecture has a wonderful ye olde England feel - lots of dark wood and leather, but at the same time light and airy spaces. The food was simply delicious. Top quality ingredients cooked to perfection. Well priced wines. Really pleasant staff who clearly want you to have a great experience. A top notch venue.

Lovely café, brought my family here visiting Winchester. My mum said it was the best chai latte she's ever had. The atmosphere was fantastic and service was fantastic. This is now or go to coffee spot in Winchester

Throughly enjoyed my lunch here today. The food was very good(creamed spinach, mushrooms on sourdough) very good portion size! The scotch egg my partner had was enormous. Tad on the pricier side but the good sized portion made up for it.

We enjoyed a breakfast here, the food was really good, fresh tasting ingredients and some great choices. I particularly enjoyed the smoked trout in a roll. The service was a little disjointed, food came before drinks and we had to ask for cutlery. We ate outside and the view down the high street was lovely to look at. Ordering was very easy in the hatch on the front of the restaurant. Would recommend for a meal out in Winchester.
