We had an enjoyable Sunday lunch breaking our journey home from a break in the New Forest. The service and the food were both top class and the menu had a good selection of dishes. The well maintained grounds and historic building matched both the food and service, making this venue a great place to visit and we would certainly return.

A stunning location set in beautiful gardens. The staff were excellent and the public areas are well maintained. I would have liked to see the rooms better kept, having said that they were still of a very good standard. The lighting was in the rooms wasn’t great however, and just some extra thought into finer details (welcome pack, chocolates, etc) would have been nice. The dinner however let the hotel down, we were there as corporate guests so that may have had an impact on the quality of our food but breakfast was really good, overall a very enjoyable visit.

The Glasshouse restaurant Always a pleasure to come here. Sunday roast is delicious and beats other venues by miles. All the staff are brilliant and I cannot fault anything about Oakley Hall.

Highly recommend the Sunday roast! Oh my goodness, they did not disappoint. The Staff are just lovely and so accommodating. Plus, they are Dog Friendly as have a special area for dogs to sit with their owners whilst eating in the restaurant. Thank you, team!

able of 8 for a birthday party. Absolutely perfect evening. Bar staff on form. Know the cocktails and serve really well. Shannon was our server and she was amazing. Very attentive. Has a wicked laugh and knew the menu really well. We had 1 of the party that was GF and Shannon explained it really well. Thanks to all the staff for an amazing night.

Beautiful location & building! Food was incredible although some of the sides were cooler than expected but still ok to eat. Sam our waiter was awesome, efficient & knowledgeable on the menu so he could advise of dairy free options. Even bringing out a birthday treat at the end for hubby’s birthday

Took the grandchildren out for a celebratory meal. The menu offers enough choice to suit most people. This evening we all enjoyed a well cooked and nicely presented meal. Our waitress Shannon had a lovely big smile and the service was excellent.

We stopped off here for a late lunch on a whim during a motorway trip from the south coast to Bedfordshire. (Asked Google to show the nearest pubs/restaurants and this was the nearest that was open for food in the afternoon.) The place wasn't very busy, service prompt and attentive, but not overly so, and food delicious. We both opted for pies; me the Sun Inn Fish Pie and my husband the Cottage Pie - piping hot, very tasty, with a selection of perfectly cooked vegetables. There were plenty of gluten-free options for me, and it was good to have that choice. Portion size was perfect too, not too much to make you feel over-stuffed or the need to leave some, but we definitely feel like we have had a good meal. (My one preference would be for just a couple more green beans on the plate! Not a deal-breaker though 😊.) We would be happy to make a detour here again in the future. Thank you! 😋 (Generally, the restaurant area didn't have quite the atmosphere of the cosier drinks part of the Inn. Having more clientele would help.)

Had a great meal on Saturday evening. Lovely welcome. Nice bar and restaurant. The service and food was amazing. Pork belly and Beef ribs. The puzzling thing was we were the only 3 people there between 7 and 9 on a Saturday evening. I feel that with the right advertising and patronage by the locals, it would be one of the best options for a meal out in the area. We will definitely recommend and will be returning soon.

Dropped in here for lunch with family as we have driven past a few times and has never been in. We were surprised there were no other customers during our meal, because it was good value decent food! The greeting and service could not be faulted, the pub/restaurant is clean and pleasant, there's nothing to fault here. There were 4 of us, we each had something different, and nobody was disappointed. Each plate was well presented, the food was fresh and well cooked, good sized portions, and the service was perfect. Prices were very reasonable, and there is a good choice on the menu, my only regret is not having a dessert! We will definitely return again sometime!

Lovely food and staff , just missed out on a 5 star review because the atmosphere was very quiet like a doctors waiting room . The staff although very pleasant were talking in non English language around us and I found that a little offensive. Toilets were disgusting outdated and smelly . But food was great and hopefully to make this a 5 star location these minor adjustments will be addressed.

We visited the pub for the first time on a Sunday and really enjoyed the beef roast we ordered. The food was delicious and one of the best roast we have had in quite a while. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again soon.Staff were also really friendly and very helpful.The photo does not do the food justice 😁

Stopped for lunch on the way to Stonehenge. Lovely environment! Plenty of space and seats. Friendly hosts and servers. Adam took care of us. I recommend if you are in the area. Large menu with cocktails, beers, coffee, breakfast, dessert, lunch and more!!

Lovely afternoon at the Holly Blue today. Staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. Caesar salad, club sandwich ( have had on numerous occasions and is amazing) and chicken tenders from kids menu (for an adult who was extremely happy with this as can’t eat big portions but doesn’t like to waste food) were all devoured amongst us today then we had a little room left for the new cronuts, ( toffee and lemon) and a brownie. All so amazing…..really good!! Wide range of cakes to choose from and we were even able to take some home for those who weren’t able to join us. Staff very accommodating. Lovely atmosphere. Didn’t feel rushed. Love that the Holly Blue is on our doorstep and we will be visiting again very soon.

Me & my partner got married here. I cannot recommend this venue enough. The food was great, the staff were fantastic. The accommodation on site was perfect. Special mention to Flo. She was our wedding coordinator. She was amazing. Made the day stress free. Top notch!

Our room was absolutely beautiful bed is super comfy , all the staff are friendly food was beautiful and the scenery is incredible we loved our stay and so did our doggy . They even have a doggy food menu which I thought was brilliant . Will definitely be back!

Visited the restaurant here, nice cosy atmosphere here and was surprised at how busy it was on a Monday evening. The service was great. I had the vegan katsu curry which I highly recommend, even as a non-vegetarian, and the sticky toffee pudding too. Only negatives, it was a little cold where we were sitting in the restaurant and the car park was totally dark making it a bit difficult to park. Other than that it was a nice meal!

We had a fantastic time today at Las Iguanas Basingstoke. We booked online for the current offer of 90mins of unlimited tapas for £19.95 (normally £25)! We were not disappointed! Apart from one dish (the calamari popcorn) we enjoyed every single dish, all freshly cooked and prepared! Our waiter Tyler was attentive without being pushy and made the experience even better. We went at a funny time (3pm) so we were the only people there, however we been made feel welcomed and not rushed at all! Tyler gave us enough time to enjoy and finish our dishes before coming back to take the next order. There were 4 of us so we could order 6 dishes at a time which was enough. I could not fault anything, it was just the squid popcorn that was not to our taste! Will definitely come again as even at the full price of £25 this is a great deal 😋

A lovely victoriana themed restaurant. It feels like you are sitting in someone's victorian drawing room. My family and I popped in for breakfast. The staff were lovely and the food was great. I will definitely be going back for dinner.

Yes, been here with my wife and my little boy! Once we arrived at the reception we have been welcoming with smile! Was really busy evening with lots of customers! We been invited to our table and handed over the menus including the Christmas which unfortunately you can't have it if not everyone goes for it, but a la carte was good enough! Quickly we received the high chair and the lovely lady from Poland come over with water and introducing her self. I've seen few managers been running around the place which made you feel looked after! Overall, food and service was really good! Yes, definitely come back for my Cruzcampo! ❤️

Such a delight to eat here before going to the Anvil for a show. We had 4 starters to share, fries, a bottle of wine and some sparkling water. I recommend the king prawns, the Asian chicken pieces and the tempura vegetables. All simply delicious, piping hot, quickly served and just the right amount. The staff were excellent and the service was faultless. They were all really lovely.

My husband took me for lunch here. Food was so tasty, didn't feel rushed, excellent service and very friendly. Will return again for sure.

Stopped for lunch and had a wonderful large meal. Each dish was loaded with flavour. The mushroom toast was a little too salty, but still delicious. The service was kind and attentive. It took us a little while to be sat, as we couldn’t see any employees, but once at the table we had staff members in our view at all times and they were very attentive with every table around us as well.

The best Sunday roast we’ve had in a long time. The presentation was spot on and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The cheese cake was delicious too.

The Swan is our go-to for yummy gluten free options. The management team go above and beyond to make it an enjoyable visit. The decor is lovely, toilets clean and the garden area is fab in the warmer months. The Sunday roasts are worth their own mention!

Beautiful classic pub with a friendly atmosphere, great staff, and a great range of food and drink. Always make you feel welcome. Love this place for an evening meal or just to grab a lunch on a summers day. Can get busy sometimes but that's only a sign of it's popularity. :)

My wife had an operation scheduled at Basingstoke Hospital on 15th Jan - was a major op re cancer diagnosis and went on for 5 hours. We stayed at the hospital for 2 weeks in total. While she was in surgery, i went for a walk in the countryside to take my mind off events - after an hour or so of walking, i ended up at the Swan (i had looked it up before starting walk!). I was warmly welcomed by the staff there, who were really helpful as well as accommodating ( they helped me with where to find a local village shop and post office) While there, i noticed a promotion on the website regarding AllTrails where you used their app for a local walk and ended up at the pub for a free breakfast. So, on the Friday morning, i completed another long walk, helped by All trails, and arrived at the Swan for 9am. I had a lovely breakfast, eggs Benedict, presented beautifully and really tasty - and although tempting, resisted having a pint with it… 9am just too early! I came back the following week for a sandwich at lunchtime - again, lovely food, well presented and tasty! Thank you to the Swan - i would thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting a warm welcome, great food and a well deserved drink - whether you’ve had a long walk in the country or just driven there. Will definitely be back.
