Absolute joy to be a member here. Local to me and perfect to help me get started on my short game. Well kept, beautiful views and a fantastic par 3 coarse. Everyone super friendly and helpful. Overtons little secret piece of heaven !

good little course. excellent for beginners

This is a great course for beginners, seniors, juniors or anyone with mobility issues that still want to be able to play the game. It’s also a good place to practice through the winter months when other courses become too muddy to play. I’m a single figure handicap and usually carry just 4 or 5 clubs and make the most of the course, leave the driver at home 3/4 iron is plenty here. Theres not much scope to improve or lengthen the course other than to put another few holes in another field. I’d love to see that, would be a good candidate for the 12 hole golf course, although unlikely.

Lovely little course nestled away in the country. Quiet and peaceful with gorgeous, fast playing greens with some wide fairways with challenging protected Par 3s. Highly recommend.

I have played here over the years and recently twice. The staff are all polite, friendly and helpful. I rely on them to pass on my compliments to the kitchen crew for excellent meals, and the greens staff for a well maintained course. Not the cheapest but certainly best value for money on a society day out.

I recently ran a Mental Health and Small Business - One Day Conference at Test Valley Golf Club and can't truly express how impressed I was with everything from the venue, to the catering, to the level of service. From the moment I enquired, Maria and Molly made me feel welcome and wanted to ensure they could accommodate as much as was feasible to create an event just as I had envisioned. The preparation and support provided was second to none. On the day, the food was excellent, the room was perfectly arranged and no dietary requirements or additional requests were too much trouble. They were so attentive and I can not wait to book our next event with them.

Nice course and not outrageously expensive. Greens are pretty consistent although some of the fairways are a bit lumpy and can give some random bounces. That's my excuse anyway.

This course is easily one of the best in Hampshire its playable all year round due to it having great drainage and being based on chalk. The greens are in prefect condition all year round, much needed development is happening and its making the course stunning to look at aswell as to play. The club is very welcoming and has a very mixed age group with great attention payed to younger players to get them into golf. I also got married at the club and every part of the day was so well organised and put together. Test valley really is a great club.

This is a scenic and hilly 9 hole golf course that's well worth a visit. There are some stand out holes (the 3rd and 4th spring to mind), some gorgeous views, and everyone I met there was really friendly. There are a couple of climbs that will need to be navigated, but if you're okay with that then I think you'll really enjoy Alton. The greens were in great condition, and the tees and fairways were decent too.

Very welcoming and friendly club - we booked a 2 ball at 1330 hrs slot on late January Saturday PM following a club roll up and managed to play 15 holes but were only asked to play for 9. For those keen to get some exercise this course offers a great work out although good situational awareness required when crossing fairways - some assistance is required for course navigation on back 9 although club members very willing to oblige! Will definitely return in the summer to enjoy this course in optimum condition. Great VFM.

Great friendly club and welcoming for Juniors. Good coaching with indoor facilities to tune up your game during the winter. Good bar and great food with a lovely terrace for summer drinks. A tricky course in great condition with a friendly welcome awaits any visitors. Highly recommended 5*

Great staff and delicious food 😋 From spring through autumn, the course is fabulous, too.

Last weekend, my friend and I had an absolutely delightful time here. While waiting for our group to finish their game, we enjoyed a bite to eat at the club's clubhouse. The setting was perfect—a lovely day complemented by a superb location. We indulged in a glass of rosé and ordered the chicken burger, which was nothing short of scrumptious. The burger was expertly layered with crispy bacon, fresh tomatoes, lettuce, and the most amazing sauce, all nestled between a crisp, fresh bread roll. It was a wonderful lunch that truly hit the spot. The staff were amazing, attentive, and made our visit even more enjoyable. Overall, it was an outstanding experience, and I can't recommend Hartley Wintney Golf Club enough for both the golf and the dining!

Beautiful course friendly people and great food

We recently had our wedding day at Blacknest and could not have asked for a better day! A lot of that was down to the amazing staff they have there, and a very special mention to Vicky and Georgia who brought everything together! The team went above and beyond to make everything we asked for happen and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed it! We cannot thank Vicky and the team enough for everything they did! Vicky was also brilliant at explaining how everything would work and made sure the day ran smoothly! Thank you again everyone, I wish we could do it all again! ❤️

Today we had a family lunch at Blacknest Golf and Country Club, which was exceptionally nice. The staff were professional and attentive, the food was extremely nice and certainly tasted superb. Given the circumstances of the golf course renovation a real hidden gem well worth a visit. Mike S

Came in for lunch with my husband last month and it was amazing. We sat outside in the sun and had a glass of wine watching the world go by. Dave had the fish of the day (fish and chips) and I had the mushroom pasta. We shared some arancini also. The food and service was incredible and we will definitely be back soon!

Great golf course and all in good condition. The clubhouse feels fairly new and the food was really good. Our society visited on the hottest day of the year so far, but the course still played well. They missed a trick there by not getting one of their buggies and taking cold drinks out to all who were playing as we were suffering with the heat.

With a thirty year gap between my recent visit and the last I will be playing here much more regularly. Great pro shop, Restaurant and Bar

Well Manicured course, challenging! A little oasis has to be seen ( played ) to believe it. Driving range, pro shop, lessons available, food and drinks available, buggy hire. Can be disrupted due to wet weather but course management and improvement programme in place and under repair

A great value for a golf weekend from London. The course is enjoyable with some challenging traps—our group took about five hours to finish 18 holes. The next day, a tournament caused delays, and slow play ahead meant we only got through half the course. The hotel rooms are spacious, dinner was decent, but breakfast was a letdown. Overall, still a solid and affordable option for a golf getaway.

Great hotel and Golf Courses! Stayed here in October with a group of golfers and had a great time. Extremely welcoming and helpful staff who really looked after our group on an Autumn Sunday evening. 3 challenging groups of 9 holes with different characteristics so both the rounds we played felt different. Overall a great break.

Firstly I give a 5 if someone or a business goes the extra bit, Sandford Springs you have earned a 5 and well deserved. We booked for New Year’s Eve dinner & overnight stay. When we arrived checking in was very pleasant friendly welcoming staff on reception. We were given our room number and key card the receptionist said the cards will open either door, my wife and I were a bit confused but thought nothing of it. We entered the room to find large table, sofa, tv extra,but no bed? Then we entered the room properly and went through a pair of double doors to find the bedroom. WOW blown away they had given us the Wolverton Suite. Evening 4 course meal and service was fantastic well worth the trip. One little niggle as the hotel was full could of done with one more member of staff at breakfast as the two lads worked their socks off. Once again thank you too all the worked New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day magic start to 2025.

Had a good experience on a work course here. Great selection of foods, staff kept an eye out for us wanting more hot drinks and were very receptive to any requests we had. Special shout out to the chef!

Friends reunited, A thoroughly enjoyable day at this years Am Am charity event. This lot got 4 pars on the 1st 😮but couldn’t challenge for the prizes.(Team score 93)Loved the barbecue, band & dancing into the early hours🕺. Book us in for next years event …

A challenging, but we'll maintained course. Very busy even with early tee off times. Great little halfway house to restock on supplies. Some of the hole locations make putting a nightmare, be warned. The Range is cool, but not long enough to drive (unless you my mate Chris "Ladies Tees" Watt). Bunker, chip and putting practise area was well laid out.

Lovely course. Greens were in excellent condition and everything was very well looked after. Not too many hazards and no water, but in its place are some well placed tree lines, some sharp dog legs and challenging greens with some interesting undulations. Good little club house to have a drink after the game.

We go at least twice a month if we can really good golf course few areas a challenged for me as I'm not the best but I can do the course . See or hear loads of pheasants as you go around with the lovely wild birds maybe see the odd fox or deer now and again .

Was a Member here 2019 to 2022, loved it, Play a lot less now, but went back here for a round and the improvements are great, well done Worldham, it was good before but now it feels a level or 2 up, for a round in November, it’s was more than dry enough, the fairways are more defined now which we really liked. Gives it a feel of a better course. The greens are great. If you are thinking about playing here, do it! Great course and great value! I’ll be back more often now
