Great golf course in good condition in scenic surroundings. Tests every type of golf shot and is a great challenging course. You have to be in the right position in fairways otherwise you maybe blocked out by trees or in a bunker. Bunkers are of links type and use nice soft sand. Good facilities in clubhouse at reasonable prices. Will not hesitate to play this course again.

Absolutely 1st class service from the moment we arrived. I have played at many of the top courses around Hampshire,Surrey West Sussex and Farnham certainly beats them all when it comes to service and friendliness. The staff in the bar, kitchen were exceptional. The chef even came to the table to welcome us and make us feel welcome and help familiarise us with the place. All the bar staff were excellent, all happy and smiling. The pro shop and professionals could not have been nicer. The pro even came and sat with us after the round for 10 minutes to see how we got on, exceptional. Lovely time, couldn't fault it. The pro even allowed us free range balls to warm up, which by the way, the range is fantastic. 110% will be returning. Course conditions and views were up there with the best.

Played here this week (June 2021). The course is in great condition and the greens receptive. The bunkers are well kept and some have steep sides around the greens. There is a driving range here it's fairly basic, but is fine for a warm up. Guest rate is £35 and in my view worth it, the course is challenging but not overly so and most golfers will find it enjoyable. The staff are friendly and food and drink in the club house reasonably priced.

As a FGC member I feel luck to be part of this fantastic, friendly golf club. The course is in fantastic condition all year round and drains really well throughout the winter, temp greens really are a rarity. Golfers are rewarded for positional play throughout the round with a sound course strategy key, this is not a grip it and rip it course with wide open fairways and no trouble - being offline can easily cost you shots! The stretch between holes 5 - 12 is my favorite section of the course; I honestly can't understand why Farnham does feature higher in the England top 100. I have attached some of the pictures I have taken since joining the club in 2020, I cannot recommend coming and experiencing the club for yourself enough!

I haven’t played all of them obviously, but I would say that this is one of the best courses I’ve experienced in England. Stunning greens and fairways like carpets, the course is well maintained by a team who know what good looks like and are passionate about golf. A real treat.

Great golf course, dry and in good condition even in winter. Only negatives are the proximity of the road and the need to cross it twice. Clubhouse bar has some great beers and the carvery lunch is very good.

Superb course, played it Jan 19th in 4 degree weather. Played of the whites and it’s a serious test of golf. Some very challenging long par fours but some very gettable par 5s. Great par 3s except perhaps 17 which does let the rest of them down slightly. Course was in great condition given rain and frost, can only imagine in peak times it would be utterly amazing. Would love to come back

We played the course today, and what a treat it was. I work as a maintenance contractor for many prestigious Surrey golf courses and I have played some of the best courses in the UK. I just played Formby last week. I have to say the condition of the course was better than any higher ranking courses in the area. I was absolutely blown away by how true and firm the greens were. The fairways, tees and aprons. 5 * condition. The course manager and his team have a clear passion for what they do. Absolute class. Esp for the time of year and the amount of rain we have had recently. Even the heather was better maintained than neighbouring courses. The new holes and layout have been so well executed you would never know which ones they are, but they have made the course so much better. The rye grass walk ways are a thing of beauty as well. Nothing is wanting here. I’m not sure why the course hasn't got a higher ranking in the top 100?

Nice, well maintained course with friendly welcome for visitors. Drains well, so recommended for winter/Spring in particular. Some challenging holes, particularly those hitting to elevated greens, often with good bunkering too. Some of the “newer” holes further from the clubhouse were less interesting - they are well established after several decades but lacked a bit of character. Nice terrace to catch some sun and watch balls trickle off the tricky final green.

We visited here with our Society. A very good course, well maintained and the food was also extremely good. Feedback from our Society’s members was 100% positive. We will be booking next year and many years to come

Have used Alresford GC for many years with my society. The club house has recently been refurbished and is now an excellent venue and the food options are very reasonable and the staff are very attentive. The golf course we played in April 2023 was in excellent condition and the greens were unbelievable for this time of the year. If not played it’s highly recommended.

I had a great experience. The atmosphere was welcoming with wonderful staffs. The spa experience was top notch with my partner. I will definitely be going back on our next vacation.

Had an amazing stay at this resort! From the moment I arrived, the peaceful ambience made it feel like a perfect escape from the busy world. The rooms were spacious, clean, and super cozy, waking up to the beautiful views was a treat. The service was outstanding, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure everything was just right. And the location? Absolutely perfect! It’s well-connected yet feels like a secluded retreat, making it the ideal place to relax and unwind. I’d definitely love to come back! Lovely location and rooms. Enjoyed our groups sole use of the spa. Evening meal in the restaurant was good value and tasty. Breakfast again was tasty and pleasant views of the golf course. However service was exceedingly slow. Tea/coffee took half an hou to arrive. Food longer. Overall one and half hours for breakfast which is fine if you like a leisurely breakfast.

We had a great two-night stay at The Springs for our anniversary. When we arrived, we headed straight to the spa, which was relaxing and quiet, followed by a lovely dinner at their restaurant. On the second day, we played a round of golf and loved it. The course is open and not too tricky, so it was perfect for us. Breakfast was included, and it was definitely worth it. You could pick anything from the menu, and we went for the full English both mornings. Check-out was at 11am, which gave us time to enjoy a chilled morning before leaving. The staff were lovely – really friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. We’d definitely recommend it, especially for couples who enjoy golf. We’d happily go back!

A lovely little course in a beautiful setting

This is a great course for beginners, seniors, juniors or anyone with mobility issues that still want to be able to play the game. It’s also a good place to practice through the winter months when other courses become too muddy to play. I’m a single figure handicap and usually carry just 4 or 5 clubs and make the most of the course, leave the driver at home 3/4 iron is plenty here. Theres not much scope to improve or lengthen the course other than to put another few holes in another field. I’d love to see that, would be a good candidate for the 12 hole golf course, although unlikely.

Cannot speak highly enough about this place! Excellent facilities and wonderful staff - who even took the time to track me down after I left some clubs behind after a visit! The trade in is incredibly competitive and the on site cafe / bar / food is outstanding - well worth visiting!

This place is great. I went there with my 9 year old. Booked online. Unlimited balls. Clubs for the 9yo are included. The radar system means we can play a game of Angry Birds and he is motivated to hit the ball straight. There are loads of bays. There is a restaurant and a bar. Brilliant.

I enjoyed few hours spent there. Private booths are perfect for beginners and fun with balls! Public bays are also very comfortable l. Food very nice and staff polite. Will definitely visit again

Amazing golf course. I went in about 16 of the 18 holes bunkers though 🤣 Greens were amazing and lightning fast. Staff were super friendly. Definitely would play again and highly recommended!

Fantastic experience playing West Hill last week. Early season conditions outstanding. Greens fast enough and true. Stunning scenery. Second time playing and one of my favourite courses in London. Extremely warm reception from the pro shop. Highly recommended

This is a fantastic golf course with many varied and beautiful holes. Don’t let the course yardage fool you into thinking it’s a short course, it most definitely isn’t! The only negatives about the course for me are the noise from the railway line, a busy road and planes going into Heathrow, but those features are equally present and many of the other heathland courses in and around Surrey. When we were there in March they also had all par threes on mat tees, but they were good quality mats and didn’t distract from a great day.

Great day out at this premier golf course, course in excellent condition could not ask for better, pro shop welcoming, food very nice and even avoided the forecast rain!

This quintessentially English golf course is wonderful to play. It’s a great challenge and they have a lot of memorable holes that will test your golfing abilities.

A nice friendly golf course, with a decent club house. The course is well managed and in good condition. Non member (visitor) prices are quite steep. But a good course to visit, if you are lucky enough to know a member.

Me and my partner had our Renewal of Vows/Blessing at Sand Martins last October (2024). It was the PERFECT venue for our ceremony in the afternoon and reception party in the evening. The 1st floor venue was a good size, we had room for our 100 guests, the dance floor, a DJ with a musician (Charlie Luffrum - highly recommend) and the buffet spread. Katrina (Sales and Events coordinator) along with Tamsin, Bar Manager Tim and the team made our day perfect and were so happy to help. The food was absolutely delicious, generous portions and beautifully presented. Hot and cold food was available to choose from, and allergies catered for (they brought their food directly to them for extra safety and so no one else had their food). I can only say good things about this place. There was plenty of parking there, as we started our day from 4pm, so any golfers would have left by then, we were given our venue space for the whole day so we could prepare the extra things we wanted to bring and for the musician to set up his equipment. If you're thinking of hiring this venue for any sort of family party or reception, I thoroughly recommend it.

From start to finish the team was amazing. Answering any questions I had and being fully present on the day. My engagement party went off without any problems. I had my sister in law 30th celebration here, my engagement and definitely more celebrations to come. Special shout out to Katrina.

This course is easily one of the best in Hampshire its playable all year round due to it having great drainage and being based on chalk. The greens are in prefect condition all year round, much needed development is happening and its making the course stunning to look at aswell as to play. The club is very welcoming and has a very mixed age group with great attention payed to younger players to get them into golf. I also got married at the club and every part of the day was so well organised and put together. Test valley really is a great club.

Nice course and not outrageously expensive. Greens are pretty consistent although some of the fairways are a bit lumpy and can give some random bounces. That's my excuse anyway.

I have played here over the years and recently twice. The staff are all polite, friendly and helpful. I rely on them to pass on my compliments to the kitchen crew for excellent meals, and the greens staff for a well maintained course. Not the cheapest but certainly best value for money on a society day out.

I recently ran a Mental Health and Small Business - One Day Conference at Test Valley Golf Club and can't truly express how impressed I was with everything from the venue, to the catering, to the level of service. From the moment I enquired, Maria and Molly made me feel welcome and wanted to ensure they could accommodate as much as was feasible to create an event just as I had envisioned. The preparation and support provided was second to none. On the day, the food was excellent, the room was perfectly arranged and no dietary requirements or additional requests were too much trouble. They were so attentive and I can not wait to book our next event with them.
