Really nice course, well kept, challenging for all abilities yet fun. Members were also welcoming. Recommend playing here if you have the chance, really well looked after. I'll be returning when I've lost the sh**ks too!

This is really a great experience, not a long course but you need to think through every shot. Not one hole the same. Very attractive as well as a top test.

A hidden gem. A Harry Colt masterpiece: not long, not hilly but requiring accurate shot placement. In immaculate condition.

Absolutely brilliant. Clean tidy, well looked after. Great lessons with Peter. Played the par 3 course today, for £6 you can't complain. The greens are only astro but non the less brilliant practice course. Great for kids to play/practice on.

No frills golf range, which does what it says on the tin. However the gem here is the attached shop, it doesn't carry a huge range of products, but is staffed by truly knowledgeable experts, who will give you advice with no pressure of a sale. For example if you had a fitting, but didn't have a huge budget they would happily advise you what to buy second hand, and then adjust it for you. They also have the latest technology available for lessons and fittings.

Help yourself set up. Pay by card or by coins, and they have a note converter to coins. You have to bring your own clubs or you can buy second hand clubs at the office for £10. Although it wasn't open at 6pm. Popular with proper golfers, however the technology makes it fun with games like closest to the pin. Good value at £8 for 105 balls, lasted just over 1 hour with 2 people

Great driving range - screens work well… lots of bays, and affordable. Bonus is the pizza you can order - with the buzzer when ready system. Nice putting green too.

Nice, well maintained course with friendly welcome for visitors. Drains well, so recommended for winter/Spring in particular. Some challenging holes, particularly those hitting to elevated greens, often with good bunkering too. Some of the “newer” holes further from the clubhouse were less interesting - they are well established after several decades but lacked a bit of character. Nice terrace to catch some sun and watch balls trickle off the tricky final green.

We visited here with our Society. A very good course, well maintained and the food was also extremely good. Feedback from our Society’s members was 100% positive. We will be booking next year and many years to come

This is a course that regularly gets plaudits from top 100 golf course lists, and it's easy to see why. The setting is scenic, it has all the practise facilities you could ask for, and the course itself is the star of the show. The greens had recently been treated, but didn't look too far away from being excellent again. The tees were good, and the fairways were just about holding up to the pressures of the summer heatwave we've been going through. There are lots of nicely shaped holes, and a good mix of short and long par 4's. It's also pretty friendly from the tee, so can be played by all levels of handicap. Add in the excellent clubhouse and friendly members (the ones I spoke to were anyway), and you've ticked all of the boxes. Highly recommended.

A wonderful course ⛳️. Visited as a guest and was very pleasantly surprised. Both the tee-boxes and greens were immaculate. Some really good challenging holes, made more tricky by the fast pace of the greens. Had a great time on the corse and will definitely recommend. Only 4 stars as booking the time proved very challenging, as the phone was never answered, the clubhouse was shut when we finish at around 7pm, and the old boy in the club shop was rude and disrespectful, especially to a visitor who they should be trying to impress not belittle.

I was invited by a friend and member of this club, Played today with 3 friends, Wednesday 5th of June, 2024 This is my opinion of the course, club house staff and members I met in the car park. The course was flawless !!!! The tees were flat well looked after really tidy and big enough to change positions 7 time a week, The fairways were beautifully cut and no sign of a weed on any of the fairways, The aprons were very good, And as for the greens, Well great cut great roll incredible breaks tricky to read but really enjoyable, The clubhouse, Excellent ! Comfortable, clean, tidy and great views. Staff are polite, friendly and welcoming. Other members we bumped into were friendly and welcoming. A Great job by one and all. Greens Staff great work guys. I would be so proud if I were a member of this club !!!!

Although it was winter season this course was in excellent condition. The club staff were superb. Very friendly and proud of their club and course. We will definitely visit again. If I lived here I'd be proud to be a member of Petersfield Golf Club.

A lovely course with high standard greens, tees and fairways. Staff are friendly and helpful. Great food upstairs that's very cheap. Would highly recommend playing there. There's a nice putting green which you can chip onto too. The 4th is lovely and if you're a accurate big hitter, it's worth going for the green.

Best welcome to date…beautiful link course, with the Isle of Wight views. A big shout of to Christie in the pro shop who went up and beyond to help my partner and I find a good place for NYE. Also Graham Pole for his generosity in buying us a pint after our first game here, as the bar was closing with only cash payments. We will defiantly be back to play the final 9 soon. Sam & James 😃

We are members anyway, and to be honest it's a very special place to visit. The sea view, Christchurch Bay, Needles in full view of, is stunning! Brendan for us being front of house, he is absolutely key to our experience, very witty, very hard working and attentive, along side a great team effort in general. We love it here, and will be forever regular visitors.

Lovely course, a typical wintery day with murky clouds and it was pretty windy in some exposed places. I really enjoyed the variety of elevated tees, blind tee shots, water hazards and the views are stunning. I look forward to visiting again in the Summer months !!!

Fun course...good shape...a bit confusing as 3 9's so always around people and other holes. Would come back. Played it in a 3 club wind which always takes away a little something. Great views.

What a lovely place! The friendliest and most helpful staff. Honestly one of the best afternoon teas I’ve had. Fresh, generous and good quality produce and the most tastiest scones I’ve ever had! Absolutely loved it. I’d love to return to try lunch or Sunday carvery some day soon!! Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon!! 😀

Love the course and the investment in the drainage to improve play in winter. Very helpful staff, the course is really enjoyable and great greens. I will be back, be great if you had a 9 hole price, as I rarely have time for 18. The pro at the club is extremely helpful and really knows he stuff. Always willing to help and the simulator in this weather is really useful.

I went there for a birthday meal, the food was amazing, it was a roast and the roast potatoes were perfect. I would thoroughly recommend them as their service was friendly and professional. The view from the club house is spectacular too.

Afternoon tea was a birthday pressie. Never been to this venue before, lovely setting overlooking the golf course. Staff very welcoming and hot drinks (unlimited refills) served straight away with food following soon after. All looked delicious. My only critisism would be the size of the sandwiches. Personally I would have preferred them to be dainty finger sandwiches and perhaps without the extras, i.e. picalilli, cranberry sauce, which are not to everyones taste. That said, we had a lovely afternoon and I am returning for lunch with a group of friends next month. Thank you.

Nice course, in good condition when we played with quite fast greens. Narrow in places for tee shots making it a good test of Golf. We would certainly come back.

A great and challenging golf course. The greens are outstanding and extremely well maintained. If you’ve not played here for a few years you must return to experience the improvements; bunkers are beautifully manicured and the drainage work has done wonders to the course in the wetter months. The new head chef (previously of The Briny) has created an exciting new menu too.

My Son treated me to a round at Stoneham for Father's day and I wasn't disappointed at all. It has to be one of the best courses I have ever played. Great variety of holes and some great birdie chances to be had on some of the shorter par 4's and 5's. The greens ran true and were in mint condition as was the rest of the course. The 18th was awesome with so much danger if you miss hit your ball and a brilliant final hole to end your round. Easily 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ from us and hopefully be back again this year for another game.

Visited here at the weekend, wow! Stunning course which is relatively hidden! I've never played on greens so fast and running so true. The course is very well looked after making it a challenge for all handicaps and types of players. The staff and members are all friendly too making you feel welcome. Would love to play here again and will try the course again in the autumn hopefully. Thanks for having me.

We have just held a reception here for my late Uncle and I just wanted to express my sincere gratitude for a very well organised event from start to finish. From the planning stage to the delivery everything went perfectly. The service from the team of waiters serving to the cooks preparing and everything in between. Excellent food choices and a beautiful setting and atmosphere. Thank you Lauren and Nikki and everyone.

Great little golf course, well kept greens are lovely

This is a great course for beginners, seniors, juniors or anyone with mobility issues that still want to be able to play the game. It’s also a good place to practice through the winter months when other courses become too muddy to play. I’m a single figure handicap and usually carry just 4 or 5 clubs and make the most of the course, leave the driver at home 3/4 iron is plenty here. Theres not much scope to improve or lengthen the course other than to put another few holes in another field. I’d love to see that, would be a good candidate for the 12 hole golf course, although unlikely.

This course is easily one of the best in Hampshire its playable all year round due to it having great drainage and being based on chalk. The greens are in prefect condition all year round, much needed development is happening and its making the course stunning to look at aswell as to play. The club is very welcoming and has a very mixed age group with great attention payed to younger players to get them into golf. I also got married at the club and every part of the day was so well organised and put together. Test valley really is a great club.

I recently ran a Mental Health and Small Business - One Day Conference at Test Valley Golf Club and can't truly express how impressed I was with everything from the venue, to the catering, to the level of service. From the moment I enquired, Maria and Molly made me feel welcome and wanted to ensure they could accommodate as much as was feasible to create an event just as I had envisioned. The preparation and support provided was second to none. On the day, the food was excellent, the room was perfectly arranged and no dietary requirements or additional requests were too much trouble. They were so attentive and I can not wait to book our next event with them.

Nice course and not outrageously expensive. Greens are pretty consistent although some of the fairways are a bit lumpy and can give some random bounces. That's my excuse anyway.

Good golf course, challenging yet forgiving if you manage the course. Beware the bunkers, lol. Golf buggies available. Book tee time on line and buggy. Discounts on buggies for medical reasons.
