Brilliant golf course. Well kept and maintained. Some lovely holes ⛳️ Only bad thing I can say is a few of the ball cleaners need removing or repairing.

Great 9 hole course, we went round twice. Lovely cafe & good shop.

Really good value for money. The golf club has a 9 hole course which had greens that ran true and there was actual sand in the bunkers. The pro shop is large and even has some indoor bays, which I admit I didn’t get around to seeing. There is a driving range and the on-site cafe did great food. On the course itself I’d say there are some holes that stand out but it’s a bit bland in its setting for the most part. That being said, I will be back again for certain.

Very reasonably priced to use the driving range, and also great quality and well respected equipment and facilities.

Cracking little 9 hoe course, no heirs and graces, great little course for a beginner or if you want to work on your short game and I didn't do too bad. Played again today and it is in great nick, greens are very good.

Lovely course, a typical wintery day with murky clouds and it was pretty windy in some exposed places. I really enjoyed the variety of elevated tees, blind tee shots, water hazards and the views are stunning. I look forward to visiting again in the Summer months !!!

Played Stroller & Needles. Both incredible views and challenging holes. Stroller better of the two and harder. Lots of bunkers and some difficult hole layouts on both. Greens were a1. Clubhouse really cool. Just a fun place to play and challenging. Lots of par 5s and long challenging ones. The bunkers need the sand loosening though because they were almost all playing really shallow and hard and it was hard to take sand. Most of the sand underneath top thin layer was compacted, not loose. Apart from that it was awesome. This place is amazing and such a cool quirky club. Will definetly be returning at some point with other family/friends. Thanks a lot

Best welcome to date…beautiful link course, with the Isle of Wight views. A big shout of to Christie in the pro shop who went up and beyond to help my partner and I find a good place for NYE. Also Graham Pole for his generosity in buying us a pint after our first game here, as the bar was closing with only cash payments. We will defiantly be back to play the final 9 soon. Sam & James 😃

Fun course...good shape...a bit confusing as 3 9's so always around people and other holes. Would come back. Played it in a 3 club wind which always takes away a little something. Great views.

Excellent course - true links. Great shape. Fair. Played in 20 yard wind, sideways rain, full sun....would come back in a heartbeat (and for the record I think the middle 5/6 holes are incredibly strong).

This is a proper links and a tough track. We were lucky enough to play it on a calm day and you still needed your driving game to be in good shape to make the fairways. Some great holes and no bad ones - unsure why Hayling doesn't rate higher in all those Top 50's etc. For my money it's the best links between Rye and Saunton in the South of England. Add to that a lovely clubhouse with great balcony views and friendly welcome with none of the stuffiness of some of the better known courses. Well worth a day trip from London and good value for money for the quality of golf and conditioning of the course.

Wow what a stunning links set up. Tough as you like. A proper test of golf. Greens are super quick, bunkers are faultless fairways are tight and the rough is punishing. Definitely be back. But today with the wind the course crushed our group.

Mark, the Pro was amazing! Golf isn’t an easy game, but to have the skills and ability to make it simple for me to understand, is outstanding. Mark, has been able to make the complicated simple and golf really enjoyable. Super friendly team combined with an outstanding golf course, make this a top 10 golf venue to visit. The course is in immaculate condition, while others get stuck in the mud. I felt like It was a lush spring day. I will be back, as looking forward to see the investment in the course lands.

We got married at Skylark on Sunday 26th May - We cannot explain how amazing everything was! We haven't stopped talking about our special day and how Skylark did everything so perfectly! We had so many lovely compliments on the food, the team and the whole running of the day. Someone even said it was the prettiest wedding venue they had ever been to, which we couldn't agree with more! We wanted to say a huge thank you to you and the team at Skylark for making everything so special for us. From the moment we booked, the wedding and events team were incredibly professional and supportive, answering every one of my many many questions. Shortly after we booked our wedding, it was announced that Skylark was being put into administration, this was understandably concerning but the team were there to support us at every stage of the planning process and made us feel 100% more relaxed! A special shout out to Amy who made the initial stages for wedding planning so exciting and effortless! She went off to have a baby which is equally as exciting but we felt sad that we'd lost her. Thankfully we were assigned to Elly (Events Manager) and we instantly knew we were in safe hands. Elly ensured our day ran perfectly and truly was the day we'd dreamt of. During the evening, Jason took over and was amazing. Regularly checking in with both of us to ensure we were okay and making any necessary changes. We cannot explain how thankful we are for everyone at Skylark.

Went for brunch here on daughters birthday in the restaurant/ cafe area. Had a great time! Weather was nice and sunny so we sat outside. Food was good and served promptly with no fuss. Would definitely go back again.

Ellie and the events team were excellent at helping us with our big day. We felt that we were in safe hands from our first time at Skylark through to our big day. The catering and bar team were accommodating and friendly both on our tasting day and throughout the wedding, not to forget that the food and drinks were amazing. We were so happy with how smoothly everything ran and how helpful everyone was - thank you!

What a lovely place! The friendliest and most helpful staff. Honestly one of the best afternoon teas I’ve had. Fresh, generous and good quality produce and the most tastiest scones I’ve ever had! Absolutely loved it. I’d love to return to try lunch or Sunday carvery some day soon!! Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon!! 😀

My daughter treated me to a high tea at southwick golf club today for my birthday . What a wonderful treat this turned out to be . The sandwiches were perfect the cakes and scones were perfect we asked for coffee rather than tea and it was a delightful coffee . The lady that took care of us was so friendly and just the best host . To say we were all impressed is an understatement. It was a beautiful place with fantastic views to look out on fantastic service and fantastic high tea can't recommend this place enough we will definitely be returning. All I can say is thank you you catered for 4 generations my mum my me my daughter and my grandson and we all had the best time .

Afternoon tea was a birthday pressie. Never been to this venue before, lovely setting overlooking the golf course. Staff very welcoming and hot drinks (unlimited refills) served straight away with food following soon after. All looked delicious. My only critisism would be the size of the sandwiches. Personally I would have preferred them to be dainty finger sandwiches and perhaps without the extras, i.e. picalilli, cranberry sauce, which are not to everyones taste. That said, we had a lovely afternoon and I am returning for lunch with a group of friends next month. Thank you.

I went there for a birthday meal, the food was amazing, it was a roast and the roast potatoes were perfect. I would thoroughly recommend them as their service was friendly and professional. The view from the club house is spectacular too.

What an experience. The course is laid out over a large estate around the cricket stadium. Lots of variation, no two holes alike with good course management needed to get a good score. We always walk the course, but we could justify a buggy here if we wanted. We visited in January after some bad weather and found only one winter tee, no temp greens, and firm fairways. It's a real treat for this time of year. Great round had and will be returning soon

I've been a member here since this spring having waited a for the conversation from a 9 hole. I've enjoyed the course in both summer and now the autumn. I'm loving it and look forward to the completion of the new sections. For me its got all sort of challenges and styles of course in one. The maturity of the old course has been cleverly incorporated into new and I can see it getting better and better. Some great views over Hampshire and the lakes on the course. Agree with the other reviews being impressed with continuing condition of the greens and course in the wet. Shotgun tomorrow morning and it's full! I'm not sure what a green keepers revenge is though.

A nice looking course and challenging at this time of year. Thankfully, all holes were open but quite confusing with what holes to go to next, doesn’t seem very practical at times, especially for first-timers. We didn’t enjoy the greens due to them actually being painted. The green paint had actually dyed my white head covers by the end of the round. Looking forward to seeing how the course plays in the summer.

Have been using the driving range here for a couple years but never played the course until today. Took my son round. He's 16 and just getting into it, i am picking it back up after a 17 year hiatus. The course is absolutely perfect for us. Some interesting challenges but on the whole, a pretty forgiving course. Not too long but not a cinch unless you're moderately long and straight off the tee, which neither of us are. We're going to come back next week and will probably end up getting a season ticket. It's a perfect first course for my son and I while we build (rebuild in my case) our game. Still can't believe I've never played it before, I live 10 minutes away!!

Absolutely fantastic service by Harry who is their Titleist ambassador, I had my Titleist T300 irons and Vokey wedges custom fitted by him and I would most certainly recommend. I’ve only had a few rounds with them and they feel great, so worth paying for and I also got a great deal on a new bag! I’ll be going back shortly for a utility wedge and the new drivers by Titleist. If you’re serious about golf this is the place to go. Thank you Portsmouth Golf Centre, especially Harry! 👍🏼

I booked a club fitting with Lee as I wanted to upgrade my irons. I have never done so before but was advised to do so. I thought it was excellent. Lee was very helpful and knowledgeable. He guided me through the process without any pressure whatsoever. . It wasn’t long before I found a club and shaft that I favoured and even after deciding on this club, Lee introduced a couple of other brands near the end of the fitting for me to try just to make sure that I was happy with my choice. I am delighted with my new irons and I would highly recommend that anyone who is unsure of the benefits of a fitting to book an appointment. I think you will be delighted with the attention that you will receive and be even more happy with the results. Thank you once again Lee for you help

Gosh how good are the greens for this time of year! Looking forward to the better weather. Club house food can be a bit naff! Not the case today! took the friendly recommendation of club sandwich. Fantastic taste and value. I joked was it made with “Love” she confirmed it was. This combined with a great coffee was outstanding! I will be back.

A great place to be, good food, good company and great golf on the best course.

A great and challenging golf course. The greens are outstanding and extremely well maintained. If you’ve not played here for a few years you must return to experience the improvements; bunkers are beautifully manicured and the drainage work has done wonders to the course in the wetter months. The new head chef (previously of The Briny) has created an exciting new menu too.

Nice course, in good condition when we played with quite fast greens. Narrow in places for tee shots making it a good test of Golf. We would certainly come back.

I visited this club as children's entertainer for a function. The staff were very helpful and would highly recommend the club *****

A group of 12 of us played here 13 May 22. Couldn't have had a more friendly welcome from the members and staff. Course in great condition - challenging but true greens and a really well put together test of golf.

A group of us (21) descended upon Rowlands Castle gc on the last day of our tour. We were all pleasantly surprised by the welcome we received from all staff and members alike. The course is an absolute gem, well maintained, and cherished by the members. How lucky they are to play this course on a regular basis. I/we will go back for more.

Lovely golf course, challenging but not impossibly difficult. In great condition. Friendly people, good food and drink, well worth a visit.
