Really nice course, well kept, challenging for all abilities yet fun. Members were also welcoming. Recommend playing here if you have the chance, really well looked after. I'll be returning when I've lost the sh**ks too!

Very good Golf course and given the conditions (near freezing and a small bit of rain), thought the course held up really well. Unfortunately, we were on temporary greens but that is not a fault of the club. Not the longest of courses but still a good test of Golf, there are many greens with false fronts. It seems And can imagine that you do have to be very accurate with approach shots. Would love to come back again in the spring or summer to really see what the course is like.

A hidden gem. A Harry Colt masterpiece: not long, not hilly but requiring accurate shot placement. In immaculate condition.

First visit to this tree lined course in Oct 24. In good condition. Great society day out.

Absolute joy to be a member here. Local to me and perfect to help me get started on my short game. Well kept, beautiful views and a fantastic par 3 coarse. Everyone super friendly and helpful. Overtons little secret piece of heaven !

Took my eldest (8) to his first Cub Scout meeting and he loved it!

From start to finish the team was amazing. Answering any questions I had and being fully present on the day. My engagement party went off without any problems. I had my sister in law 30th celebration here, my engagement and definitely more celebrations to come. Special shout out to Katrina.

A nice friendly golf course, with a decent club house. The course is well managed and in good condition. Non member (visitor) prices are quite steep. But a good course to visit, if you are lucky enough to know a member.

Great course, nice practice facilities, service was good but fairways were extremely long when we visited making it difficult to get a clean contact on the ball.

Me and my partner had our Renewal of Vows/Blessing at Sand Martins last October (2024). It was the PERFECT venue for our ceremony in the afternoon and reception party in the evening. The 1st floor venue was a good size, we had room for our 100 guests, the dance floor, a DJ with a musician (Charlie Luffrum - highly recommend) and the buffet spread. Katrina (Sales and Events coordinator) along with Tamsin, Bar Manager Tim and the team made our day perfect and were so happy to help. The food was absolutely delicious, generous portions and beautifully presented. Hot and cold food was available to choose from, and allergies catered for (they brought their food directly to them for extra safety and so no one else had their food). I can only say good things about this place. There was plenty of parking there, as we started our day from 4pm, so any golfers would have left by then, we were given our venue space for the whole day so we could prepare the extra things we wanted to bring and for the musician to set up his equipment. If you're thinking of hiring this venue for any sort of family party or reception, I thoroughly recommend it.

Lovely little course nestled away in the country. Quiet and peaceful with gorgeous, fast playing greens with some wide fairways with challenging protected Par 3s. Highly recommend.

Great little golf course, well kept greens are lovely

This is a great course for beginners, seniors, juniors or anyone with mobility issues that still want to be able to play the game. It’s also a good place to practice through the winter months when other courses become too muddy to play. I’m a single figure handicap and usually carry just 4 or 5 clubs and make the most of the course, leave the driver at home 3/4 iron is plenty here. Theres not much scope to improve or lengthen the course other than to put another few holes in another field. I’d love to see that, would be a good candidate for the 12 hole golf course, although unlikely.

It's a lovely little 9 hole course which makes you think about each shot and takes approximately 2 hrs to get round as a mid handicapper. A driver isn't really needed as it's all par 3's/4's. Greenkeepers do a great job and it's in fantastic condition considering all the rain we've had. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The other plus is they have golf simulators called "the bunker" next to the pro shop. The only downside is the driving range is too short but I do understand why and there aren't any nets too properly loosen up before a round. All in all give it a try!

Just rocked up and hit a load of balls (badly) at the driving range. £7.20 for a bucket of 75. Like the look of their Bunker indoor golf area. Going to try it out soon. Fun place

It's a short 9 hole course but has some challenging holes, especially the 8th. Its well maintained. It has very friendly staff. A nice course.

This course is easily one of the best in Hampshire its playable all year round due to it having great drainage and being based on chalk. The greens are in prefect condition all year round, much needed development is happening and its making the course stunning to look at aswell as to play. The club is very welcoming and has a very mixed age group with great attention payed to younger players to get them into golf. I also got married at the club and every part of the day was so well organised and put together. Test valley really is a great club.

I recently ran a Mental Health and Small Business - One Day Conference at Test Valley Golf Club and can't truly express how impressed I was with everything from the venue, to the catering, to the level of service. From the moment I enquired, Maria and Molly made me feel welcome and wanted to ensure they could accommodate as much as was feasible to create an event just as I had envisioned. The preparation and support provided was second to none. On the day, the food was excellent, the room was perfectly arranged and no dietary requirements or additional requests were too much trouble. They were so attentive and I can not wait to book our next event with them.

Nice course and not outrageously expensive. Greens are pretty consistent although some of the fairways are a bit lumpy and can give some random bounces. That's my excuse anyway.

Good golf course, challenging yet forgiving if you manage the course. Beware the bunkers, lol. Golf buggies available. Book tee time on line and buggy. Discounts on buggies for medical reasons.

Absolute gem of a course, typical of a Harry Colt design. Don’t let the scorecard give you a false sense of security. The long holes play every inch of their yardage, and the short holes can be even trickier due to the intelligent use of slopes and undulations on and around the greens. The course is beautifully maintained, a real testament to the fantastic green keeping staff. One of the most enjoyable courses I’ve played in the UK!

This was the first time I've played here having wanted to for some time. What an absolute gem of a course with fantastic fairways & greens. The greens are the best greens I have played on in the UK & a great challenge.The clubhouse is very friendly & facilities are good with a large outdoor terrace overlooking the 18th with lots of seating space. If you haven't played here before, I recommend you do as you will not be disappointed.

Played April 2024, after the wettest winter I can remember. Course was in great condition, greens fast and undulating, fairways neat and firm. A really interesting layout, 2 par 5's intersperse some long and short par 4's mixed with tricky par 3s with well placed hazards. Lots of short game practice options as well - I'd sign up for membership if I didn't live too far away!

Very welcoming and friendly club - we booked a 2 ball at 1330 hrs slot on late January Saturday PM following a club roll up and managed to play 15 holes but were only asked to play for 9. For those keen to get some exercise this course offers a great work out although good situational awareness required when crossing fairways - some assistance is required for course navigation on back 9 although club members very willing to oblige! Will definitely return in the summer to enjoy this course in optimum condition. Great VFM.

Recently become a member after some really pleasant rounds there. Lovely course & the 18 they have done a good mix with what they have. Clubhouse very friendly. Sadly broke my leg weeks after joining, that being said they were incredibly supportive and responsive as well as flexible. It’s appreciated and look forward to being healed and back using the club.

This is a scenic and hilly 9 hole golf course that's well worth a visit. There are some stand out holes (the 3rd and 4th spring to mind), some gorgeous views, and everyone I met there was really friendly. There are a couple of climbs that will need to be navigated, but if you're okay with that then I think you'll really enjoy Alton. The greens were in great condition, and the tees and fairways were decent too.

Great friendly club and welcoming for Juniors. Good coaching with indoor facilities to tune up your game during the winter. Good bar and great food with a lovely terrace for summer drinks. A tricky course in great condition with a friendly welcome awaits any visitors. Highly recommended 5*

Played this lovely course on February 5th....it was in super nick, unbelievably dry and firm under foot, greens running true and excellent tee boxes. Certainly a hidden gem in Hampshire and great value for money!!

2 great courses on chalk so DRY. Ladies behind the bar are great. Reception could learn something!!

me and my nephew played on Wednesday,,,,,, I only been playing 9 months,,,, Great up,,,,friendly staff on arrival, Course was tidy,the maintenance team were out redoing the bunkers,,, they green keepers were in and around most hole on the way out but communicated well so we can play through,,, Good mix of tech and the occasional long hole,,, We both really enjoyed it,,,😁 Will definitely return as the vibe was great,,,, Many thanks Weybrook park,,
