First visit, really impressed and you know if have Italians using the restaurant it’s going to be decent. Family friendly, cosy and a smiley service. Food was authentic and the range of pizzas was too good to resist cannot wait to go back. Nice selection of Vino too, had the Syrah that complimented the pizza. Oh and the deserts, not had anything like that outside of italy bellissima!!!

So glad we found this little gem!! Amazing fresh food, great customer service and a faultless experience, we will definitely be back! Highly recommend a visit if you’re around Basingstoke. Probably the best Italian food I’ve experienced in the UK!

What a fabulous night we have just had at the new Da Mariu restaurant. The food, all freshly cooked was amazing, served by friendly and very professional staff. Great menu with great wines. Will be returning very soon. NO. 1, BEST RESTAURANT IN BASINGSTOKE.

So we have been here for coffee and was impressed, so noting they did dinner we had to give it a try. Without a doubt the best Italian food we have ever eaten in the UK, and given the last 5 months it is a very close contender for being the best we have had in Italy. This is a lovely little restaurant with an amazing ambience, capturing what Italy is all about. The staff are lovely and have made the UK home since coming from Palermo. They couldn’t be more friendly, which is typical of the Italians we have met while travelling. The food is outstanding, a great selection, freshly cooked and offering a sensible menu. The tastes and flavours are fantastic. We leave Basingstoke next week but will be back before we go, to at least have one of their amazing coffees. I cannot recommend this place enough. They are new to the town and bring an amazing option to your dining experience. They need your support to thrive, but be quick because once it has been fully discovered it will be rammed. It’s so good that two Italians here in work were dining and raved about the quality. Thanks guys.

What an incredible find! Spectacular food, 5-star service, and a really great range of food options, especially so for vegetarian and vegan mains, which so many restaurants struggle with. We'll definitely be coming again – in fact we've already booked for one of their 7-course taster evenings next week, and we can't wait!

Visited on a Saturday lunch time around opening time and was very pleased with decor, atmosphere and overall feel of place from the outside and inside. Lots of parking and looks incredible. Interior is just as exquisite. Service from being seated to checking up after we received our food was excellent and attentive. They offer wide range of food and also even do afternoon tea parties is a separate area which is a very nice touch, there was a baby shower happening as we had out lunch. Would recommend the Goan Chicken Curry, Truffle Chicken and also the Okra fries were excellent!

We had a really excellent meal here for my daughter’s birthday. There was a new menu and all of our dishes were superb. Service was faultless. We have eaten here a number of times and it has always been fabulous! Thoroughly recommended

Had a great time on a very busy Saturday lunch. The team was very attentive and made us and our 3 year old daughter very welcome. The food was excellent, can't fault it one bit. It was generously sized and tasted fantastic.

Highly recommend the Sunday roast! Oh my goodness, they did not disappoint. The Staff are just lovely and so accommodating. Plus, they are Dog Friendly as have a special area for dogs to sit with their owners whilst eating in the restaurant. Thank you, team!

A stunning location set in beautiful gardens. The staff were excellent and the public areas are well maintained. I would have liked to see the rooms better kept, having said that they were still of a very good standard. The lighting was in the rooms wasn’t great however, and just some extra thought into finer details (welcome pack, chocolates, etc) would have been nice. The dinner however let the hotel down, we were there as corporate guests so that may have had an impact on the quality of our food but breakfast was really good, overall a very enjoyable visit.

We had a Sunday lunch with friends, and it was a fantastic experience. The place, ambiance, service, and food were all excellent. There’s a great selection of dishes available on the full set menu, priced at £35 for a two-course meal and £39 for a three-course meal. On the downside, the vegetable roast was a bit overcooked. However, it’s still a great place to visit, and we would certainly return.

We had an enjoyable Sunday lunch breaking our journey home from a break in the New Forest. The service and the food were both top class and the menu had a good selection of dishes. The well maintained grounds and historic building matched both the food and service, making this venue a great place to visit and we would certainly return.

Yes, been here with my wife and my little boy! Once we arrived at the reception we have been welcoming with smile! Was really busy evening with lots of customers! We been invited to our table and handed over the menus including the Christmas which unfortunately you can't have it if not everyone goes for it, but a la carte was good enough! Quickly we received the high chair and the lovely lady from Poland come over with water and introducing her self. I've seen few managers been running around the place which made you feel looked after! Overall, food and service was really good! Yes, definitely come back for my Cruzcampo! ❤️

Had a lovely meal last night with my partner. Cocktails, Beer, Wine was lovely Starter was exceptional, we had a variety and all tasted amazing. Mains we had the buttermilk chicken and the ox cheek pasta - again, delicious and would definitely recommend. Staff were attentive and polite. Will be back to try the brunch!

Such a delight to eat here before going to the Anvil for a show. We had 4 starters to share, fries, a bottle of wine and some sparkling water. I recommend the king prawns, the Asian chicken pieces and the tempura vegetables. All simply delicious, piping hot, quickly served and just the right amount. The staff were excellent and the service was faultless. They were all really lovely.

My husband took me for lunch here. Food was so tasty, didn't feel rushed, excellent service and very friendly. Will return again for sure.

Our room was absolutely beautiful bed is super comfy , all the staff are friendly food was beautiful and the scenery is incredible we loved our stay and so did our doggy . They even have a doggy food menu which I thought was brilliant . Will definitely be back!

Me & my partner got married here. I cannot recommend this venue enough. The food was great, the staff were fantastic. The accommodation on site was perfect. Special mention to Flo. She was our wedding coordinator. She was amazing. Made the day stress free. Top notch!

Visited the restaurant here, nice cosy atmosphere here and was surprised at how busy it was on a Monday evening. The service was great. I had the vegan katsu curry which I highly recommend, even as a non-vegetarian, and the sticky toffee pudding too. Only negatives, it was a little cold where we were sitting in the restaurant and the car park was totally dark making it a bit difficult to park. Other than that it was a nice meal!

Went to try out their range of food. Can say I was not disappointed in the slightest. Delicious food, and friendly, if busy staff. Would I deed go again

We visited the pub for the first time on a Sunday and really enjoyed the beef roast we ordered. The food was delicious and one of the best roast we have had in quite a while. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again soon.Staff were also really friendly and very helpful.The photo does not do the food justice 😁

Lovely afternoon at the Holly Blue today. Staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. Caesar salad, club sandwich ( have had on numerous occasions and is amazing) and chicken tenders from kids menu (for an adult who was extremely happy with this as can’t eat big portions but doesn’t like to waste food) were all devoured amongst us today then we had a little room left for the new cronuts, ( toffee and lemon) and a brownie. All so amazing…..really good!! Wide range of cakes to choose from and we were even able to take some home for those who weren’t able to join us. Staff very accommodating. Lovely atmosphere. Didn’t feel rushed. Love that the Holly Blue is on our doorstep and we will be visiting again very soon.

Really nice green curry, it tasted really fresh and I was very impressed with the beef sandwich. We tried the fried ice cream for the novelty and were pleasantly surprised, it was still frozen in the inside and tasted really great! The owner was nice and had a lovely chat with us. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a nice quick lunch.

I really enjoy the food here. I can say they do the best sweet & sour chicken I've ever had, nothing like the low quality stuff from your local chinese takeaway! The other Thai dishes are fantastic too. Looking forward to dining here again.

We travelled a hour out to meet family here for a get together before Christmas and so were unsure what to expect. What a fabulous lunch we had. The food was absolutely outstanding. We sampled all of the starters which were all delicious and the Penang and Green curries were among the best I’ve had. The kids cleaned their plates and the fish and chips was also beautifully done. The service was excellent and we really appreciated the Christmas crackers and wonderfully friendly staff and chef. Highly recommended, we will be back!

My partner & I booked a bottomless brunch on a Saturday afternoon. The chacuterie board was lovely, varied and filling. The cocktails served within the 2 hrs more than matched expectation. It's a great spot, small but a really nice atmosphere. From the moment we were seated to the moment we left, the service was first class, friendly & quick. Highly recommended!

This is the best bottomless brunch I have ever done! The staff here are amazing and they were so quick with serving us drinks. Really made my birthday enjoyable! The food they provide too as part of the brunch is great as well.

Hidden jem. Great atmosphere, cocktails and board games. What more could you ask for? I wish they did more offers on cocktails as it's easy (and expensive) to get carried away trying out all of their drinks! Great place to go.

I come to Duck and Tipple regularly with friends for their bottomless brunch and it is always so much fun. They have a ping pong table and multiple board games. The monthly quizzes are a lot of fun. Matt, Morgan and the team are brilliant and such a laugh! 2/3 times a year they host our work charity quiz and really put a lot of effort into staff having the best night. Their generosity means a lot and I would highly recommend coming here.

First time here and based on our experience it won't be the last! Lovely food at a very reasonable price. Great atmosphere and couldn't fault the service. Connor looked after us and gave great recommendations on the menu. Some great offers available throughout the week too, so may even bring the kids next time!

We stopped for lunch twice in a week, on the way too and from the coast. Both times we were very impressed with the cleanliness of the venue and the quality of the food served. We ordered a selection of food for adults and kids, the portions were just right and everything was well presented and cooked just right. We were looked after by Emily, who provided top-class service with a smile. If you are passing this pub, I would highly recommend The Portsmouth Arms, for good food and friendly service. If we didn't live 60 miles away we'd be regulars!

Really beautiful pub and lovely atmosphere. Dog friendly and seems to be pretty busy. We ordered steak ciabattas and they were a big portion and very tasty! The staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside was the large diet coke was £4.10. I'll be ordering a different drink at my next visit 😌

We had a party of 28 people and not a single order was out of place. The staff were so helpful and friendly and everyone commented on how well run everything was. Food was amazing as per usual. Huge thank you to the cooks for serving up so much good food so fast
