An excellent place to try out Nigerian/African food, all made on the premises to authentic family recipes. Choose from a nice variety of different dishes - mutton stew, chicken suya (fried spicy chicken) with salad, fish stew, plantain fries.

We do enjoy African food, and coming across this well-regarded cafe/ restaurant was a pleasant surprise. Our two boys loved the food despite initially saying it was too early to eat, plus they also originally wanted something else nearby! However, we were glad to have given Afrizi a try. We ordered Nigerian jollof rice/mutton stew and rice/ beans/chicken stew ‐ warms the soul on a chilly night, and this was definitely a treat today. Milk/fruit shakes are nicely done. 👌 The one thing is that we felt that the plantain for the fried plantain and plantain chips could have been riper, which would have made it slightly sweeter than it was. Other than that, the overall meal went down very quickly and without any complaints.

I come here every time I'm in Basingstoke. I wish it existed in my home town. The food is absolutely delicious. My personal favourite is the tofu stew with fried rice and fries plantains. The puff puffs are also a super yummy dessert option. I'm vegan and there's a bunch of options on the menu.

Very delicious!!! We ordered the jollof mutton with plantains and beans on the side. Also tried the puff puffs. I'll be back and/or order from here again when I'm in Basingstoke.

Warm and homey, a really ‘normal’ (in a good way) cafe which just happens to be entirely vegan. There’s a lovely section of options, it’s really reasonably priced and the staff are friendly. Great food and they allow dogs too!

Wow first time visiting today and absolutely love this place!!🧸✨ Friendly welcoming staff and it's such a joy to have so much choice of food I was actually overwhelmed because as a vegan in most places you have to hunt for what you can eat on a menu!! What an experience to have full access to the whole menu!! Went for a tofu stack and my husband went for a Buddha bowl and they were both sooo good generous portions but not heavy on your tummy!! I also tried their banana milkshake with cream n marshmallows and that was delicious!! I also treated myself to their soft serve ice cream with strawberry sauce n rainbow sprinkles!!🌈 omggGosh so good😭😭 I recommend this place to everyone not just vegans, atmosphere is so welcoming and chill and the food is brilliant quality and wholesome!! Delicious food!! It’s so amazing to have a cafe with fully vegan options! 🥑🌱🍰🍵🥥🧃 Lovely service too, easy to get to, clean cafe, pretty decoration, free period products in the bathroom & a wall of dog-visitor polaroids!🐶 Will be returning regularly :) Tried the Satay Tofu Stack & the Avo Go Go smoothie with coconut milk! Both were delicious!! Took home a butternut squash pastry too that was also so lovely!

Vegan or not this is a must visit! The coffee is excellent, a great variety of cakes and the pasties were also bursting with flavour. To round it off the staff were very friendly and helpful. Also excellent value for money!

Food was delicious, and it is clear that the owner is super passionate about food and ingredients. Good level of service. Atmosphere warm and welcoming. Highly recommended. The only top tip is to double-check your booking. The booking system seems a little temperamental.

Fantastic food. They have a specials board and are so passionate about their food. They were so good at catering to allergies, I didn't feel that anything was compromised on. The fillet was perfectly cooked and after we retired to the sofas to enjoy another pint. We will definitely be back.

We arrived just after the kitchen had closed on a Saturday lunchtime, they were so kind and welcoming and still served us. They never made us feel rushed and even took the time to come over and personally run through the menus. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. My husband had the Burger and I had the Cajun Chicken Baguette. All was beautifully presented. We were then offered dessert, despite us being so late, so we had the Cointreau Cheesecake. The service was exceptional and if we are ever in the area again we would definitely make a point of returning. Even the wine was delicious!

We took a drive from Oxfordshire to dine here. About a 42 minute beautiful scenic drive to get there. Hospitality is friendly and warm. The food was just as we like it and reminded us of a blend of an English breakfast and a South African Wimpy breakfast. Bacon was streaky as we know and love it. Mrs. Balls chutney offered as a sauce! Overall a lovely experience. Highly recommend. Go early.

Perfect little pub. Friendly staff. Mild on tap (a rare and fine thing). The best brie and bacon baguette that was ever laid before me, and the splendour of Pamber Forest on its doorstep. God speed the Plough!

Great beers, baguettes and locals... Like stepping back in time, this pub is full of character and characters! Cash only though so don't forget!

English country pub with an unspoilt interior serving cask ale. Really good experience. A range of baguettes are served that are excellent value, but only at lunch time.

Good food, some items a bit pricey though. Everyone seems kind and helpful. The waiting times can be long sometimes. I didn’t appreciate that dogs are allowed inside and can get quite close to food. Nothing against dogs but I prefer not to be sniffed or twitch at every bark while having my dinner

Have passed by here and came in to try for the first time today. The food is amazing!! I had the Penang Curry with Egg Fried Rice and a Roti, it’s was really creamy and had great balance through the flavours, also had the prawn toast which is flavourful, topped off with a nice Amstel. Not many Thai places in and around the area but this probably tops the lot! (ceilings are low, if you’re over 6ft might have to crouch a little)

We arrived during a very busy lunchtime rush but were seated promptly. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast - large portions and friendly staff. My husband and I each had the pancake breakfast and all was delicious, good value. Great to see dog friendly venue, our dog was able to join us and sat quietly under the table. The toilets catered well for my elderly mother in law as all on one level and easy to access by reception entrance. Highly recommend and will visit again! Thank you to all staff ❤️

Have been twice for lunch and been excellent each time. Food is high quality and full of flavour, great setting and friendly staff would recommend the vegetarian wrap, halloumi, avocado, courgette fritta combo is great!

Lovely welcome and service throughout - veggie breakfast was delicious - next time I will go for the baked scrambled eggs with feta. Charlie who owns the place was very attentive as were the mother and son team. I turned up at 12 and by 1235 all the tables inside were full. Dog friendly.

We visited this charming spot for a meal and ended up having an English breakfast. I was amazed by the fantastic variety of vegetarian and vegan options! The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. They also have an in house shop filled with healthy choices. I’m truly impressed!

Fantastic eatery with exquisite food, friendly & attentive staff and an excellent wine menu 🍷 ! Not pictured is the delicious rib eye that didn’t last long after being placed in front of me! 🥩 I had the chorizo “nibble”-sized appetiser, followed by the baked potato gnocchi (so so good!), steak and sticky toffee pudding (which I wish I had shared with someone after all that!). Would highly recommend and hope to be back soon.

I had a truly lovely meal here followed by a luxurious and peaceful nights sleep on the Hayloft. I couldn't have asked for more. The service was excellent, the room was cosy and very restful. The food was all excellent and I clearly need to stay there more often as the menu was extensive. Thank you for a very memorable evening

Wonderful attention to detail. Superb quality food. Venison potpie lovely delicate flavour, triple cooked chips light and crisp, sourdough bread had lovely texture and not too sour.

Had the most fabulous lunch for 7 at The Fur and Feathers. A surprise oasis of sublimely delicious food. Seasonal ingredients featured highly on the menu and all food was obviously home made from chutneys to puddings with a lot of effort put into every dish. Would recommend highly.

This is a great place to have an event or a large party. Proper family run venue with the wife running the kitchen and the husband running front of house with his daughter the food quality and decoration is unimaginable. The service is top notch. As a team they are always looking to help out every party member when assistance is needed. Good selection of drinks too. Lovely outside dining area with the option for outside catering as they have the facilities. Massive car park and a very quiet location close to the M3 just outside of Basingstoke. They really made me happy when I visited. Totally recommend this place.

A pleasant evening with work colleagues. The staff were really attentive but not intrusive. We shared two of the mezze between the six of us. A good selection of typical Turkish fayre... The hummus and bread were particularly delicious. I had a mixed plate of various meat. All perfectly cooked and a good size portion. No-one had room for dessert... Maybe next time.

One of the best, if not THE BEST place to eat at in Basingstoke. A superb nicely decorated venue with warm and welcoming, always smiling staff. The food was delicious and we will certainly return soon. Bonus points to Ellie for serving us and chatting to us.

We ventured here yesterday for the first time and we where no disappointed. The service from the minute we walked in was friendly and comfortable. We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary and they even provided us with a dessert highlighting this, which was an absolute surprise to us both and so delicious. The food was delicious and the staff outstanding. We will definitely be back
