I started to use a bird feeder and the feed went into the ground. Thought nothing if it. Then the rats arrived burrowing next to the feeder. Called Michael who came quickly. He explained the humane process clearly and obviously knows his topic. His treatment is safe with dogs about if a little common sense is applied. 4 visits for one fee. Rats gone. Thoroughly recommend his services.

I have been really impressed with how Michael from Broadsword Pest Control dealt with my tenants' rat infestation. The service is professional and competitively priced and Michael is very knowledgeable about all aspects of the treatment. But the most unique feature of this company is that there is no limit on the number of visits they are prepared to arrange. Broadsword keep coming back until the issue is sorted - something no other pest control company would do from my experience and research. I can't recommend Broadsword Pest Control enough!

Michael came quickly after we called about a rat nest in our rockery. He explained clearly what he would do for a single fee, and that he would visit weekly until the problem is resolved. It took a total of 7 visits (arriving promptly at the arranged time) before he was able to declare himself satisfied that the problem was solved! We have no problem in saying that we have received an exemplary service and would recommend him to anyone requiring such help.

I had a rat problem under my decking. I called Broadsword and spoke with Michael. He quoted for his services (very competitive price) and came to check the issue without delay. Confirmed a plan of action and delivered to it. Detailed job sheets and a detailed explanation of the work he was going to do and set my expectations. All very clear, informed and professional. And the problem was resolved exactly how he described it would. No fuss. Great work and lovely people who really understand their work and what customer satisfaction means. Thank you Michael! Update Feb 2025: I had rats return. Contacted Michael again and he responded as before. Quick, efficient and knowledgeable. Problem resolved in 2 weeks. Solution includes replacing raised decking with patio (already been considered). Michael agreed and have confidence in his approach to a pesky pest issue. Thank you again Michael.

Quick response to my initial enquiry about pigeons roosting in my porch alcoves and Tony was able to come and carry out the proposed fix very soon after. Work carried out professionally. Tony was very knowledgeable about pigeons and their habits and we discussed ways to avoid them returning.

Tony was absolutely diligent in his approach. He meticulously and successfully pursued his plan to find the entry and exit points used by the rodents, employing phosphorescent powder to track following a camera survey of the sewer system, all for a very reasonable price. I recommend this company, and Tony specifically, unreservedly. So very different to the usual attitude of put poison down, go away, return, put down more poison and charge a fortune for the privilege!

I cannot praise this company enough. I had a wasp nest that proved particularly difficult to locate, but Shane kept coming back until it was completely sorted. I can not rate Shane at RIDTEK highly enough. We had an ongoing rat problem (in the loft and in the walls for several months) and were beginning to think we were stuck with them. We initially used another company who surveyed the property but could not definitively confirm how they were getting in and out and they put bait in the loft and in the drains. After several weeks the problem was no better, and we lost faith. A Google search brought us to Shane and he has literally become our hero. He did his own - much better - survey of our property and within less than an hour he had established how they were getting in and out. We installed our own cameras to test his theory and he was absolutely spot on. We caught the rats on camera doing exactly what he said they were doing. An eviction plan then followed and we are now rat free. If you have rats in or around your property do not waste your time going to anyone else. RIDTEK are the best in the business. Such a speedy and friendly service! Incredibly personable and professional. I asked for advice through a local Facebook group and the next moment I was raising a request through their website with and incredibly quick turn around in response. The next day we were on my allotment plot and the wasps nest was no more! Shane listened to me without judgement and took his time to ensure that my disturbing the nest had really not moved them on. A little jab in the ground with a shovel and the soldiers were out for revenge! A quick douse in the ground later and the Queen was seen to. Absolute legend! Can’t thank you enough!!

Had a problem with a nasty little Rat, thought he’d move in and keep warm. I tried with traps and poison but had no luck. Gave DKG a call, they understood the problem straight away, came round promptly and decided on a plan to oust the little sod. After first visit I was assured he’d solve the problem and within a few days I didn’t hear any more scratching and scraping, with 3 visits in total, No more Rat! Contacted Lee as we add an issue with rodents on the loft and inside a cavity wall, he was able to visit on the same day which we really appreciated. Rang Tom in the Newbury office as a wasps nest by a window had been discovered whilst double glazers were fitting windows. Tom was very helpful and gave excellent pragmatic advice and we spoke a couple of times over a couple of days. He always rang back as agreed. An appointment was booked and Lewis (Lee?) turned up as agreed and was very engaging and practical. Not only did he treat the nest but also checked the rest of the House outside in case they had set up home elsewhere too. Very impressive genuine service at fair price. I would definitely use again. A Gentleman arrived on time, His name Sam Hellewell, explained the procedure and what he was going to do, he inspected my loft and explained what sort of flies were there, he was very professional and polite and respectful. Thank you very much Sam for carrying out this work for us and putting our mind at rest. I would recommend this company as he also explained to me that all the work was guaranteed, he also mentioned that if I opened the loft in a week and there was still a problem with the cluster flies the company would come out and fix the problem without charge, so I really respect that honesty, Thank you Countrywide Pest Control Services.

What a super company. Martin came out first to resolve woodworm treatment in an attic space and just got on with the job - not easy in an old cottage. Then came back on a follow up to put rat prevention under the eves to stop access up the building. On time, fitted us in to work around other contractors. No fuss, job done, fair on the price . Plus there we have a very unpleasant tenant which made things even harder. Thanks. very much great job.

Excellent service from Steve - he was able to attend our house very quickly and it was immediately obvious he was an expert! We had a wasps nest under some decking in the garden and Steve did what he could be after a couple of days the wasps were back. This time I removed some of the decking and Steve kindly returned to do a further treatment now he could access way more of the site. A very professional and friendly service and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Steve.

Had a rat in the loft for several weeks and couldn't catch it with my traps. Called Steve from Thames Valley Pest control and he came out within a few days. (Probably could have been sooner, but I was working) Steve was really friendly and sorted our rat problem with just one visit, he still came back for the following two visits to check everything was ok and make sure no other furry friends were up in the loft. Gave suggestions on how to prevent more coming in and he even visited the neighbours to see if the entry point was next door. TLDR. Fantastic, would highly recommend.

Not only did he Treat the wasps nest, he had to unscrew the door handle to get in the room and he was so nice about it, I felt like a right idiot… Suffice to say he got the job done in a matter of minutes..
