Everytime we go away its our tradition to go for Indian food and it definitely did not disappoint. Atmosphere was great, staff couldnt of done more, staff knew exactly what spices were in each meal, didn't need to go and "ask the chef", very professional. Food is to die for, every single thing was amazing, butter chicken was perfectly cooked so was lamb shank, probably the best lamb shank we ever had in any restaurant. Will be visiting again once we come this way!

We tried the lunch menu. The thali (butter chicken, rice, naan, salad, tarka dhal, poppadum) set menu offered extremely good value for money and was great tasting, authentic food. See the menu for other meat and vegetarian options. The customer service was also excellent. Can't fault our visit.

This was are first visit to this Indian restaurant and would after say this is one of the best we have been to the food is absolutely delicious the only minor gripe I would have is there is no breathing time in between courses as food is brought out one after the other maybe this is because you allocated 120 minutes eating and drinking time

I visited the restaurant twice on the same day. Having breakfast in the morning, we chose the Turkish sharing breakfast, I was so eager to return that I came back for dinner that evening. On both occasions, the staff were very attentive, polite, and efficient. Quality and quantity of the food was fantastic, with the breakfast being of particular note. Just look at the photo. I will definitely be back.

Fantastic food, very friendly staff, reasonably priced too! We've come here at least 8 times now, that's how great it is! Ayaz, Mimi and Andreea the waiter/waitresses are the best here! We've invited all our friends and family to come along, it's a lovely establishment, you will not be disappointed! They've recently updated their menu. But there are still a few classic options on there. Everything we've tried so far has been fantastic. Come down and see for yourself, it's a lovely place to come for dinner in Andover

We celebrated my mums 80th birthday at this restaurant and it was brilliant. The service was excellent. So friendly and kind. Nothing was too much trouble. Food came quickly and was well cooked and tasty and tasted amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. We really had a great time and will definitely be going back. Couldn’t get over how friendly the staff are. Definitely worth 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nice little place. Mostly cocktails it seemed. A decent selection of craft beers, if a little one dimensional We had some chicken burgers which were good, fries even a little bit better. Really friendly staff.

brilliant service, super lovely staff and great cocktails, charcuterie boards with the bottomless brunch is a great idea and executed perfectly, only complaint is there could be a radiator or two as it was quite cold but other than that, an extremely pleasant evening!

Small, intimate almost, but with a big heart. You walk in and greeted almost immediately by the Bar/host staff in front. Seating to the left in table format with cosier sofa array in the window. A large range of drinks available displayed on the chalkboard, but with a small almost hard to see QR code to scan to see ingredients of each drink. Nice touch but awkward to navigate to start. We sat in the other window seat staring into the eyes of the bar staff, felt odd as were we waiting for drinks, like waiting for a takeaway. However the drinks arrived, packed with flavour, subtle notes, and a lingering taste. Relaxing music played and you sit back watching around you. You forget it's quite small and enjoy the condensed space. Large parties no doubt would have to book the venue, but a party of 2 can walk in. Good vibes, good drinks, will be back

Love love LOVE this place! So nice to have a cocktail bar right by the high street and so reasonable priced too. Can't go wrong with 2 for 1 cocktails all day, everyday

Fantastic service from the team at the Crook and Shears. They catered for a large event with fresh, tasty food and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The skittles alley was a lot of fun. Thank you very much.

We had a lovely early Family Christmas at the C&S, we used the skittle alley and Kim and her team had set up the tables for us and made it very Christmasy. Great afternoon and the youngest member of the family won the skittles game and Kim came in and presented the cup. Good food, good beer, fantastic atmosphere and the welcome from Kim and her team was brilliant.

What a wonderful pub! The owner was gracious enough to allow us to take photos! This pub was in the town that my Mayflower Descendent, Stephen Hopkins, was born and baptized! The beer was cold and the conversation wonderful! At the time, they were looking for a chef - otherwise, we would've eaten here. I'm sure it would be as wonderful as the rest!

We stumbled upon this lovely little pub quite by accident, thanks to Google! I was looking for somewhere not far off the main road to meet a friend, and this came up. The description of a "thatched pub" sealed it for me, and oh! I'm so happy we came here! The village looks like something straight out of a tourism brochure: thatched roofs, narrow lanes, history everywhere you turn... it is just beautiful. And the pub itself: slanted ceilings, huge old fireplace, dark beams, even a friendly pub dog! Neil, the landlord was very welcoming, as was the young lady behind the bar (didn't catch her name). Oh, and a lovely, quiet beer garden out back. Would definitely recommend this pub, and I look forward to stopping here again on a future trip back to the UK!

Amazing pub! Even in new ownership they've still kept it a fantastic pub to visit! Warm homely atmosphere, very friendly and very helpful bar staff. I ordered a salmon puree started followed by the beer battered fish and chips and both were delicious! Met the owner who's also very friendly and welcoming! 5 star experience from start to finish!

It was my first time visiting the Royal Oak. I booked a table for 10 for my wife's birthday. I spoke to the lovely lady on the phone about the chef making my wife a birthday cake. They couldn't be more accommodating, saying they'll make her favourite one. The meal was absolutely outstanding and the service matched. I will absolutely returning as the Guinness was the best I've had around also. Super service, super drink and super food. I really recommend

Got here too late to try the food (kitchen closes at 3pm on a Sunday) decent beer tho, Adnam’s Ghost Ship on tap. Lovely beer garden and some decent 80s hair rock pumping out of the speakers, RAD 🤘

Forget what you thought you knew about this place. Was taken over 5 weeks ago and it is absolutely amazing! Starters, mains and dessert were all excellent and were at a brilliant price to boot! This is definitely our new local!!

Great food and atmosphere in a lovely setting. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. He has just started running this pub and I wish him every success for the future. My sister and mother really enjoyed it there too.

Had the Salt and Pepper Squid to start and Thai Green Chicken Curry special for main course. Both tasted great and good portion sizes. It was very busy at lunch time with good atmosphere.

We arrived later than planned but just caught the cut off time for lunch. Jackie served us and was very lovely & looked after us very well. She recommended the lamb & mint pie of the day. It was possibly the best pie Ive ever eaten. Pastry was thin ,crispy & flaky, and the balance of the melt in your mouth lamb and mint was perfect. Served with mash and veg all cooked perfectly with a gravy packed full of flavour. The cocktails are also fabulous , very well executed , not the cheap watery fruit juice versions you frequently receive elsewhere. My picture does not do this meal justice.

Highly recommend this gem of a pub. Stopped in for dinner after a nice long dog walk in the area. Good selection of ales, steak was fabulous and perfectly cooked. Menu isn't huge but lots of very tasty sounding options, including a couple of vegan and vegetarian mains.

A lovely country Gastro Pub and Boutique hotel with 11 rooms. It is a bit out of the way but worth it. The food is excellent the staff are extremely helpful. I would say for a table it’s best to book, in the summer there is lots of outside seating. Highly recommended.

It’s been a little while since our last visit, and eight of lunch. Couldn’t have been better really, food was all lovely, gnocchi particularly good and cauliflower popcorn was excellent. Most impressive were the staff, professional without being stuffy, warm without being over the top - just really really lovely. Thank you.

Very Nice pub with a good selection of Beers. It's in a lovely setting with a pond nearby. Can't comment on the Food as we didn't eat. Menu was abit on the pricey side, but it's kind of in the middle of nowhere so it's to be expected. I must say it looked very nice and I'd imagine the food is great. Nice place and I'll be returning.

We have just discovered this place, and will definitely be back. The food, the ambiance and the hospitality are next to none. We stayed the night and did have an issue with the room, but it was dealt with promptly and to our satisfaction. Until next time…

Stayed here for 1 night on business. Really wonderful country Pub, beautifully furnished rooms and the food was amazing. Lovely cosy atmosphere in the Pub and all the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!!

Not been here for 15 years or so but had the best Sunday lunch today we've ever had! The roasts were brilliant, the kids fish and chips was great. They've even got Hawkstone on tap- perfect. The staff were really friendly and the pub is great- a proper local pub! We'll be back soon.

Lovely Sunday Roast. Food is always excellent. A perfect example of how a pub should be on a day to day basis. Same can’t be said about the BVI down the road. The George is a perfect place for a drink, snack or meal. Highly recommend!

Pub Perfection!. Greated by lovely friendly staff as we arrived. The building itself is beautiful with low beams and a log fire burning away. Nice selection of drinks and the food was also very good. Definitely a locals pub, but very friendly and you don't feel out of place. Will certainly return as this is what you think of when you say traditional English country pub! Great stuff all round.

Food was tasty and good quality. If you like rustic charm and wood beams you'll love the atmosphere as I did, warm fireplaces too, service was great and plenty of parking, will be back again soon!

Popped in for a late lunch snack. Delightful pub with loads of space. Friendly staff and warm welcome. We could easily become regulars! There was an excellent menu but we just had coffee and a mini baguette served with a side of chips. Really good quality and value for money

We had our family Christmas lunch here for the second year running. As the year before the food was tasty, hot and plenty of it and the service was first class. There's always a friendly atmosphere with the staff and locals at The Old Bell and Crown and a great time was enjoyed by all the family. Many Thanks to Lyndsey and all her team.
