“The Townhouse Alresford is an absolutely stunning addition to the town! Not only is it beautiful (step through its doors and you’re completely transported ~ think a warm, welcoming luxury hotel vibe), the staff are so friendly and helpful. I’ve had brunch at The Townhouse twice now (and coffee to-go a handful of other times) and the food is delicious. Highly recommend starting your brunch with one of their home-cooked pastries, followed by a main dish. I’ve had both their full English and a bacon bap and would order both again in a heartbeat. I have yet to visit in the evening, but I’m excited to do so! The cocktails and evening menu look incredible. Overall, I cannot recommend visiting The Townhouse Alresford enough. It’s a real gem ~ in every which way! Led by the same team as one of my favourite local pubs (The Three Horseshoes) you’re guaranteed a blend of warm welcoming service, great food and a beautiful environment.”

“Absolutely stunning makeover for a hidden gem! We are locals and visited a few years ago, and it was nothing compared to what it is now! The new huge expansion and development of a traditional country pub, but created for the modern demands of customer experience of great food and local produce, captured by natural beautiful surroundings is a 10 out 10! The staff were really knowledgeable and very helpful. The service was relaxed, and the new extension we sat in was really impressive, and the garden area was picture-perfect for anyone whether socially with family, or friends or romantically, this pub would suite anyone wanting to visit a real country pub tucked away off the beaten track. The menu offers up some mouth-watering delights, and they have specials every day and offer gluten-free options, which is clearly marked. The portions are very generous but plated up with care and foodie flare! We enjoyed every mouthful. It's dog friendly, with free ample parking, and I can imagine this pub will be a hot spot for locals and outside visitors for many years to come. Highly recommended!!! Come rain or shine. Thank you for your hospitality.”

“One word; Amazing 👏 I ordered the roast and I was always sceptical because I love the old pub but was pleasantly surprised my only gripe was as i was eating I saw someone get the beef 😋 and got food envy 😅 nevertheless the roast was succulent, potatoes crisped to perfection and everything was moist and super tasty. Don't get me on the desserts. I could sit there and eat them all day. Sticky toffee pudding 🍮 is intense flavour on the mouth”

“We popped in at lunchtime today. We were greeted warmly by a young member of staff, we decided to have a snack which was thoroughly enjoyable and a reasonable price too. Top marks also for providing a chilled bottle of water, placed on our table as we sat down without even having to ask for one. Great service from a member of staff, thank you.”

“Had a lovely overnight stay at The Woolpack Inn, it has a busy vibrant bar and more chilled dining area, what you hope for with a traditional country pub. The food was excellent, we had the calamari, Mac N Cheese and truffle pasta. With dinner we had Margaritas which were perfect and after dinner I had a glass of local The Grange Rose. Breakfast was initial buffet followed full English and Salmon Eggs and Sour dough bread, great quality. Well done to Kyle and the team, great service. We hope to be back in the summer, cheers Michael”

“My wife and I found ourselves at the Cricketers Inn having tried a couple of closer pubs which had stopped serving food at 3pm (totally understandable but we had a lot on and we're running late and hungry!). We're glad we did. We received a warm welcome and a great lunch. 2 courses and some drinks came to just under £50 which I'm not going complain about. The food came out nice and quick, fresh and roasting hot. It was delicious, hats off to the chef. My wife had a chicken burger and I had a stir fry, both went down well. I'd recommend a visit, I'm a little disappointed that we didn't have the kids with us as the play area looked like it would have kept them occupied! Well done.”
