Such a great place for yummy food, amazing ambiance, and incredible service. We didn’t take many food shots but HIGHLY recommend the arancini and spinach side. So affordable! Yummmmm

Bacaro was on my list for a long time! In the middle of August we managed to go for a Sunday lunch ant it was really enjoyable! We had the beef, the lamb and the fish, everything was cooked very nicely. Very good service. We’ll be back 😃

Great jerked bbq restaurant. The staffs are super friendly. The food is spicey and delightful. They have several kids options. But they can be a bit spicey. So recommend the place for adventurers.

Superb Meal full of flavours. One of the best Caribbean roast I have had. Decent portions and was filling. Can't fault anything. Really wanted try the cheesecake as that looked good but didn't have time others didn't want one. Didn't think I would have any room for it. Would Certainly come again and Cocktails was really nice one of my favourite drink Pina Colada. Staff was Welcoming and Helpful. Thanks for having us.

A Caribbean delight! The food and the drinks - especially the cocktails! Are about as good as you'll get in a national chain restaurant! And at a very reasonable price too! The staff are always very welcoming.... that, along with music, makes for a great atmosphere! We had the Bottomless Brunch this time. As well as giving you a great chance to sampla a variety of cocktails (pictured below), it represents incredible value for money!

We came here for a family celebration. Our waitress Beannie was just amazing, friendly and gave lots of advice on the food for our mixed age group. Food came in good time and was hot and tasty.

Nothing but good things. As soon as we walked through the door, we were greeted with a smile. We took our seats and were served by the lovely Lauren, who was very helpful. Drinks arrived quickly, and the food arrived at the table in a timely manner, looking delicious. The starters were flavourful while the mains were looking great and tasted amazing. Dessert was held back long enough for the previous courses to settle so we could enjoy the amazing tastes for what was to come. Definitely will be going back in the future 5⭐️

Me and my partner went for Valentine’s Day and had the most amazing time. The service was quick and everything came out quickly. Karen and sue was excellent with making sure everything was okay and checking up on us, just absolutely lovely people. Food was amazing and everything was in order.

Food as always top notch! All three steaks cooked differently but each cooked perfectly! So well done Nick! Lisa was brilliant very attentive as a server the right level of friendly and professional. Would very much recommend this location as a place to go for a treat.

Another amazing visit! Attended the Rose Wine Event , amazing food, great drinks and overall a lovely evening! The staff are so friendly and welcoming I highly recommend River Rat to anyone!

We stopped by for a Sunday roast. We tried beef, lamb and the vegetarian option, which arrives without potatoes but was quickly rectified. We didn't try the cocktails as we thought they were a bit on the expensive side, and the selection of desserts of the day didn't push us enough, but the meat was juicy and tender, and we are sure that in summer the atmosphere will be much more enjoyable than winter, especially in their outside area/garden that was very nice. It would be lovely to go back in summer.

Visited for the Halloween quiz night. I had an absolute blast, well worth coming. The place was full of friendly patrons, atmosphere was great. I enjoyed the quiz great mix of rounds and questions all at a good pace. I enjoyed a couple of things from the a la carte menu. Ribs were tender and tasty, chips were fat crispy and hot. I had a baked apple for desert which was delicious, autumnal and reminded me of a modern version of the baked apples my mum would make us for pudding on a Sunday growing up in the 80s/90s just wonderful! Staff were friendly and attentive did a fantastic job serving all the tables as everyone was there at the same time for the quiz. Yes it wasn't a cheap place, but harvester this it is not! Given the picturesque setting, quaint cosy building good food & drink and welcoming service I feel this place deserves a top spot. I would look to visit again just a shame they are not open more lunch times as I normally have little ones in tow.

First time here as were camping up the road. On arrival for the Jazz and Fizz at lunchtime Daniel was warm and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The beautiful secluded garden is a delight with thatched pods. We decided to dine here in the evening and sat in the upstairs restaurant. Again Daniel was very welcoming. Our waitress was Grace who was lovely, a very knowledgeable young lady. Both lunchtime and evening you couldn't fault the food, first class. Good wine selection, one small criticism a shame they do not have beer and lager on tap, bottles only. Can't recommend The River Rat highly enough. Will certainly be returning.

Wow wow wow!! From start to finish, an excellent experience of Asian tapas and fantastic wines: we cannot wait to visit again. Blue Jasmine had been on our radar for a couple of months to try. An easy, flat, 10/15 minute walk from West Quay, we incorporated visiting for Saturday lunch after a shopping morning. An absolutely beautiful setting in Ocean Village, Blue Jasmine offers a stunning bar, terrace and restaurant overlooking the yachts of the marina and beyond. A warm welcome from all and we started with a drink at the beautiful bar /lounge area before moving into the restaurant area; Warm woods, stunning lighting, cosy booths, attention to detail and of course, the view !! Service was top notch with helpful recommendations of how much to order and we settled on seven or eight dishes between the four of us. We chose some of the usual traditional offerings such as crispy duck with pancakes and spring rolls plus some new dishes (to us) such as honey and lemon chicken with the addition of pomegranate, Salmon Massaman and a Thai roasted chicken with tamarind and mint dipping sauce and Himalayan Pink salt. Salivating at the memory of that dish. By their recommendation we had a bottle of Italian red that somehow magically went with all the dishes we had. (A Barbera D’Asta, which was exclusive to them ) . Service was warm, welcoming and attentive throughout, we felt really valued and appreciated: I really can’t speak highly enough of the place and cannot wait to go back. You can easily set this as the place for either an easy going but top notch light lunch, as well as a THE place for a special occasion due to sumptuous setting and decor, and food and wine to warrant making a special trip for. Third time we have been here over the past 3 years. The standard is always really high and hasn’t slid. For starters I had soft shelled crab - crispiest I’ve ever had, and then Persic Chicken and my wife had the beef in Merlot. It was all fantastic. We had green beans as a side dish and it was so delicious I could have just had a plate of that as a main. Just as important to the quality of the food is the high standard of service. I asked our waiter about quite a lot of the ingredients I hadn’t heard of and he described all of them and had clearly tried them. Love this restaurant- we keep it for special occasions but I’m starting to think we should change our definition of special so we go there more often…

The staff appeared understandably under pressure due to the busy evening, yet they maintained a high level of professionalism throughout. A particular mention goes to the young, dark haired lady who assisted us was exceptionally knowledgeable and patient as my wife and I inquired about various dishes. Her attentiveness made a great impression. The view of the marina is absolutely stunning, adding to the overall charm of the experience. The dishes we ordered were hot, fresh, and delicious, although they took some time to arrive. However, given the bustling atmosphere, we found this understandable. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality of the food and service made it well worth it.

Great meal with great service from Tom. We started with the oysters and then proceeded to try everything we could. The souffle are phenomenal, the catch of the day, a sea bass, was delicious. The chateaubriand cooked perfectly, but in the UK they don't season it, so if your from the states before to ask for extra extra season or some sea salt from kitchen. One of best restaurants in a hotel we had during our travels and a big thank you to Tom who really took care of us, Would visit again!

Really wonderful food, a treat, a destination with comfort, class, lounge, huge selection of drinks with a lovely long bar. All tastefully decorated for Xmas. Was so busy having fun that didn’t take too many pictures of the food. Thoroughly recommend oysters, Lobster Thermidor & Hake. Service spot on.

We were recently visiting our flat in Ocean Village and stopped in to Maritimo for a lunch, before a long journey on the road. This bar/restaurant is always a great atmosphere ... it's got funky music, funky vibes, great food and friendly staff. All right on the marina, with beautiful views. It's buzzing in the evenings with a cool feel to it. We just had a couple of burgers - I had the Lounge Bacon Cheeseburger with a Moretti beer and my wife had the more modest Lounge Burger. Both were cooked perfectly, and tasted amazing. We saved room for a pudding, so we split and order of churros - with salted caramel and chocolate dipping sauces with cinnamon dust also. Topped off with a two cappuccini ... perfect. You can't go wrong ... you'll love it there.

Came here for a quick coffee and dessert with my mum. Loved the speedi service - just order on the app with your table number and that's it! Wonderful scenery when the weather is right. Lots of GF/DF options!

Was taken here for a birthday breakfast, lovely views , and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff were cheerful and amazing. Board games too , quick game if Scrabble while we were there . Will definitely visit again

The food was lovely, although could've been warmer. The service was slow but I'm not sure if that's cos we were sat out of the way in the corner. I would definitely come back, but not on a time crunch

Group meal out and Ellen (our server) was fab & friendly. Overall the food was lovely, couple of meals weren’t quite as hot as expected but it was busy in there. Would recommend for good hearty pub food. One member of the group had dietary restrictions and although there was an IPad it was confusing on what was impacted or not.

We went to Fox and Hounds for my mum's birthday meal at lunch time today. It was absolutely lovely. Ellen was extremely upbeat despite the restaurant being absolutely packed. There were multiple large groups in for their Christmas meal but Ellen did her best to make sure everyone was taken care of. She advised us that there would be a delay on mains which was fine. The food was definitely worth the wait, everything was superb. And the dessert was best of all. My mum and I ordered the "melting festive bell" and the staff had put it on a cheese board for my mum, with happy birthday written in chocolate and a little tealight for her to blow out. It really made her feel special they completely went the extra mile and made it a fantastic meal for all. My parents haven't been here in almost 40 years and will definitely be coming back. The venue was also decorated beautifully for christmas with a roaring fire in the grate.

I am so happy I got what I ordered! No oil, no olive oil, just butter, salt and water. The sea bass is divine, fresh from the sea and the vegetables were perfect. Sophie suggested I try Chapel Down as it was my first time and she is such a connoisseur of these English sparkling wines that I can't wait to try again. The staff are so friendly and amazing. Also they are Pet friendly too!

We had a meal with my husband. He ordered koftes and steak. I have ordered spicy prawn as a starter and main course pan fried hike fish. They were all good, fresh, tasty and served well. At the end we also had dessert, it was lovely. Thanks for amazing chef Lukas and the team. They are all friendly. Atmosphere is peaceful, nice and clean.

I never order a steak in restaurants because invariably it comes out overcooked. I'm so glad I chanced it here, a great cut of meat served beautifully blue but with a perfect amount of char. Starter was delicious and the dessert was amazing with great choices available for all 3 courses. Great wine and cocktails list too. Service was a little disorganised, I think I ended up with at least 4 people serving me throughout the meal and while all of them were lovely it did mean things got missed.
