My first time visiting, went for dinner and a catch up with a friend. The food was delicious, a good range on the menu. Service was great. Somewhere I’ll go back to.

Warm and friendly, with the open fire blazing and atmosphere to match. I had the blade of beef with mash and bourguignon gravy. The meat was so tender and delicious - I had to ask the chef how he had made it. Would definitely recommend this dish and pub and will return when back in the area!

Very nice place, which is obviously a very local bar and restaurant which is family based and very friendly. The food was very good and the atmosphere was good. The younger staff could do with some customer service training as they forgot cutlery and us, but otherwise, it was a great place to visit

Superb Chinese Takeaway - definitely the best in the area. Really nice staff, food is fresh and hot, and most importantly, delicious. It’s also the only Chinese takeaway locally that’s open on a Monday which is how we found it!

Had a standard meal for 1. All was well cooked, tasty and ample servings. Value for money was money was good, if you are clever you could order an extra dish and share between 2. Then it will be very good deal 👌. Prawn crackers included in price. Nice friendly people, I will return.

If you want top quality fish and chis, freshly cooked, then this is the place. A hard working couple who offer a friendly service. We'll be back.

Easily the best chip shop around here by a mile. I can't mark the atmosphere in the usual way, because it's a takeaway and not sit in, but they are really friendly.

Stopped by after a lovely local walk on Saturday afternoon. Pub was pretty quiet but received a very warm welcome, and excellent Guinness and a lovely coffee. They have a secluded garden to the rear which is really nice. The pub is set out for eating mainly but has stools and tables in the bar area and it's really cosy. The staff were very attentive and would happily go back if in the area.

This pub was established in the 1400s and was refurbished in 1972. Cozy space to have a delicious dinner and/or drinks. Good value for money, the plates are generous. Food is fresh, wholesome and in season. Staff is welcoming, warm and helpful. The duck salad and the venison were our favorites. Wine wise they have enough and good options. Perhaps better to make a reservation as might get packed mostly on weekends.

After a somewhat frosty reception, when we were almost turned away even though we had booked a table, the meal and service was excellent. I was also disappointed that I was not asked how I would like my beef cooked, and it was definitely not as well done as I would have requested, however that being said, it was cooked really beautifully, and was actually lovely (so maybe what do I know!). TBH the initial reception did rather put a damper on the whole experience for me personally, which is why I have given 4 stars instead of 5. Maybe that's a little harsh, if I could have given 4.5 stars then I would have. I would recommend a meal here if you are a foody person, I think that you would get the most out of it, for me though I prefer something slightly more casual and normal in the menu department (no chocolate dessert of any kind on the menu is a serious lack IMHO).

A delightful pub in the beautiful countryside. The pub seems to been recently refurbished and has a great atmosphere full of character. There were several cask ales available but what set it apart was the terrific food. The menu was thoughtfully curated with a great range of dishes. I had the sole which came as a pleasant surprise atop a potato rosti with a delicate sauce. As the other tables filled up I realised that I’ll be returning as the other main course choices on other tables looked just as good. The basque cheesecake was rich and delicious. The service was excellent too. Overall I was very impressed. I will certainly be working through the other dishes over the coming months. Highly recommended!

A beautifully decorated English pub with an excellent menu and reasonable prices. The food was superb, as was the service (thanks Chloe). I had the Steak & Ale pie and Bread & Butter Pudding, and they were both delicious. Highly recommended.

We have lived close by for years and this is our first visit. Dinner with friends. What a lovely pub! Very pleasantly surprised. Taken to a table tucked away in a corner, perfect for catching up with friends we haven’t seen for a while. The menu isn’t extensive but it is a good size, meaning that the chef can concentrate on presentation rather than having to contend with a multitude of dishes. I had the pork belly, it was perfectly presented and very tasty. Others at the table had the pie of the day, chicken and leek, and fish and chips. All good sized portions. Eton mess Sunday for my dessert and local ice cream for the others. Now that we have discovered this little gem so close to home we will be back.

Extremely tasty food. Very clean. Great decor and friendly helpful staff. I'm vegetarian and my girlfriend is vegan and coeliac and we sti felt like we had choice. The staff were extremely helpful with this and their colour coded plate system for allergies put my girlfriend at ease. They also seemed to have an excellent range of drinks. Just called in on the spare of the moment, Monday night is burger night, amazing value, two well presented, well cooked burgers, each with a lovely basket of fries, served with a smile, garlic ciabata starter, washed down with a pint of Guinness (had to on Patrick's night) and a soft drink for the wife, all for under £40. We've eaten here 3 or 4 times and not been disappointed. Lovely friendly atmosphere and made to feel very welcome.

I took my mum out for lunch for her 80th birthday today and we chose the mill. What a fantastic place! The staff were amazing! Kelly, Sophie and saffron did everything to make the experience special for her they even gave her a special dessert and told her it was free for her birthday! The venue was beautiful and the food was amazing! They left my mum feeling very special so thank you so much to the hole team at the mill! Kind regards Craig wolfe

We used the garden room for a celebration of life, it was perfect for the occasion. We were 12 people and had a buffet, the food and service were spot on. Thanks to the staff who set up and served us.

while the food was just okay—not bad, but nothing particularly special—the service truly stood out. Annabelle and Saffron were absolutely fantastic! They were attentive, friendly, and made the experience so much better with their warm and professional approach. Their excellent service was the highlight of the evening, and I truly appreciated their effort.

Best curry for miles! I live near a very well known curry house in the area and would much rather travel the extra distance to come here. I wish there was also a sit in restaurant because it would be great. If you’re looking to try a new curry house and get a new favourite curry house please try here! Food is the best!

We usually have a takeaway once a week from these guys. Personal service is always received, nothing is to much trouble. Food arrives, within the times given and HOT. In addition, we placed a larger order for a works do last week. Everything went without a hitch. A pre order was placed earlier in the day and delivered at the time requested. We wouldn't go anywhere else for our Indian.

been getting my chinese takeaway here for 20+ years and they never disappoint! love it so much, best dry spare ribs in the game and sweet and sour chicken is unmatched
