I went to Côte in Winchester for an impromptu dinner on a Friday evening. I hadn’t booked, but they managed to fit me in, which was much appreciated. We opted for their Prix Fixe menu, and I thought it offered excellent value. For my starter, I had the chicken liver parfait, which was truly delicious and wonderfully decadent. The main course was a chicken breast in a mushroom sauce with chips, and it was very flavoursome. I did order some vegetables as a side, but considering the set menu was less than £22, it was still very good value. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere at Côte is always welcoming. I will definitely return, as it never fails to impress.

The food was good, but not excellent. There were some mistakes made with the orders but they were rectified. There was a good deal of a 2 course meal for £17.95. It's a nice place for a quick bite with friends.

Had a lovely lunch here. Food was very good and service great. We were overcharged and ended up with 2 more bottles of wine on our bill. Didn't notice till later that day. We called the restaurant and the following day the manager sorted our refund. The waiter accidently put someone else's wine on our bill. Mistakes happen. And we should have check our bill before paying. The main thing was they did refund us the money without any problem. Definitely would recommend this place.
