I have to say, this was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The Lamb Tavern offers a fantastic selection of dishes, and we decided to make a main out of starters—which turned out to be an excellent choice. The scallops from the specials menu were absolutely outstanding—so perfectly cooked and packed with flavour that they truly deserve a permanent spot on the main menu. The prawn dish was equally impressive, generously portioned and bursting with taste. The only slight letdown, though still enjoyable, were the halloumi fries. On top of the amazing food, and good wine selection, the service was impeccable. Our waitress was incredibly kind and helpful, making the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, a fantastic dining experience, and I’ll definitely be bringing my friends here in the near future! I would give it a 6 if I could!

This is a review for dinner, not the hotel. Food is amazing. Fish pie, leeks with blue cheese (side) and pork with sage are all very good. For dessert, iced cheese cake is very yummy. The home made chocolate ice cream is not normal ice cream. The adults really enjoyed dessert, children, not so much. Overall, definitely a hidden gem with very delicious food.

Group of 12 of us booked the private dining room for Sunday lunch. The room is cozy, nicely decorated and fitted 12 comfortably. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed their food. I had the roast beef, which was nicely pink, with a lovely big Yorkshire and a generous portion of gravy. Ample and nicely cooked veg was served separately for us all to share. Some of our group had dessert which again all received rave reviews. The service throughout was attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend a visit to this lovely country pub for Sunday lunch.

Had the Sunday roast, slow cooked pork belly, certainly filled me up. Service was excellent, others had the lamb, a roast cauliflower dish, also Hake and chips and chicken burger and chips. Vegetables and roast potatoes were served separately.

We had a very nice dinner. Very tastefull. Good staff and nice environment. Not loud, but nice and lifely. We all, inclusing the kids loved it. Special kids menu available!
