Lovely little cafe with super friendly staff. Such a hidden gem!

Wonderful, reasonably priced, friendly cafe with toys, clothes and books available to buy second hand.

Found this little gem today and went to visit. What a friendly cafe with good quality coffee. Menu very good. Bought a slice of flapjack to take home. Mmmmmm lovely jubbly! The used goods store is set out very tidily, so you are able to shop. Some nice items available. Prices all round reasonable. We will be back ladies. Thanks

A hidden gem. My sister took me here, the children loved looking at the toys. The staff are friendly and the cakes delicious.

The Elephant and Castle is a great local pub in Totton, Southampton. It's one of the oldest pubs in the town, and it's located on Commercial Road, right at the heart of the local community. The pub offers something for all the family to enjoy, from live sport to a cheeky pint after work. It even caters for four-legged friends! The Elephant and Castle is the perfect place to watch your favourite sports. They have huge screens showing Sky and BT Sport, so you can catch all the action live and in HD. Whether you're a fan of Premier League football, rugby, or horse racing, you'll find the perfect seat at the Elephant and Castle. The pub also has a great selection of beers, wines, and spirits. They have something to suit everyone's taste, from traditional ales to craft beers. It's a proper, no messing pub and doesn't serve food except bar snacks.

Dog friendly place. You can play pool, darts. Great! :)

I booked a table of 7 for my birthday yesterday. All the food we had was lovely (it's unusual for not one to be picky and have a complaint) We could hear each over talk, although my grandad decided not to put new batteries in his hearing aid! The service was great. The lads were enthusiastic and accommodating. Putting a candle in my crumble was really cute! We will be back, thank you!

Excellent roast dinner for a reasonable price. They looked after our large group well. Only lost a star for atmosphere because the live music, although good quality, was too loud for us to be able to hear the person stood next to us.

We came here for dinner before a comedy gig the other week on a Thursday. The service was excellent, really friendly and helpful. Very good menu, lots of tasty options, the burger was delicious and my friend had a roast which was also fab. The Xmas decorations are lovely and the music was on but not so loud it makes it overwhelming or difficult to talk, really nice atmosphere, great value, would definitely come again and have recommended to several people since visiting. Went here for dinner on my birthday with my partner. I had a spicy chicken linguine and my partner had sizzling chicken fajitas. Both dishes tasted amazing and the presentation of the food was lovely. The pub holds a great atmosphere and the service from staff was wonderful. Really enjoyed my meal here and will definitely come back in the future. :)

The food was delicious, I only have one constructive comment. The beef gave the initial impression it was tough. The meat was tender once you had it in your mouth. The blunt knife gave the meat a false impression. Please sharpen your knives. I wasn’t the only one mentioning the blunt knife. My wife who has arthritis in her hands had to take the meat home for the dogs. Otherwise great

More than toilets! Amazing toilets, food and service. Such a great pub and so worth the dive to a cul de sac with excellent parking. Wish I had taken more photos, next time I will.

Didn’t start well had to wait 15 mins for drinks, had to reorder as our drinks order had been lost. Got to be really honest service was a little slow for a Tuesday night. Yes the service was slow but no means poor, very few staff who were over whelmed for a Tuesdays bar and restaurant was packed out. Katherine the waitress was a very professional and calm, she could only work as quick as she could, and the same could be said of one on the bar and the another chap waiting on tables. Food was excellent and with one more member of staff things would have been better for all. Lovely place great decor and as for the vents toilets amazing. It was nice to see a good vegetarian choice with the added extra of adding a meat choice to it. Not seen this before. I love my veg and also a big meat eater and often when dinning out ask if I can have ham, sausage or other meats to add to a vegetarian meal as sometimes these are a better choice. Nice touch.

🎄Our party of 16 thoroughly enjoyed our festive meal today at the Testwood... everything went smoothly from the time of booking, menu choices etc. The staff were super friendly, nothing too much trouble despite being very busy, meals were excellent, plentiful and reasonably priced. Many thanks to all at the Testwood, sure we will be returning for more next year. Well done and Happy Xmas 🎄

The food and atmosphere were great, wasn't too pleased with the service, shown to our table and forgotten about, had to remind them we were there after waiting almost 45mins for our order to be taken

Visited today and the food was to die for! Had the gammon and the portion size was lovely! Not to mention the garlic bread, what is your secret? 🤤The staff were also wonderful so thank you for a great visit ❤️

It's one of my favourite pubs. I've been going there for the last 10 years and never disappointed! The hunter's chicken is delicious 🙂

We phoned our takeaway order through and we were told 25 mins for collection, on arriving the staff were polite and the order was promptly brought out. We ordered a chicken tikka masala with peshwari naan and a chicken madras with plain naan and a couple of poppadoms. On getting it home the food was still piping hot and there was plenty of it, really tasty meals but in our opinions both curries could have done with a bit more spice but this is just our opinion and others may disagree. Either way for our first time trying it we both agreed we would return and next time we would try out the restaurant.

Had the lamb korai on advice of one of the guys in the shop - it was full of flavour, tender, delicious. Always impressed by the food and very friendly people, will be coming back.

Superb quality food, had a large order, placed it early and arranged a delivery time. Arrived on time piping hot. Every dish was top quality thoroughly enjoyed by all. Would recommend the dhansak and lamb tikka karai. Thankyou to all in the kitchen, will be back soon.

The dish i picked this time was...chot poti, onion bhai, onion salad and mango suace! Another fantastic tasting meal from these guys! The food is clean, fresh, well prepared and presented, and just the right level of spice for that particular dish and when you eat from here you are always left with I slight tasty zing in your mouth, I know many Indian restaurants over town and I say the food from these guys are as good tasting quality as the few top indian restaurants in town, the only difference here is there is no bar and you have to take it home and eat it, truly colourful, full of favour, spice, clean, fresh food everytime at good prices, well this is my thoughts and i would recommend. Thanks to the kitchen

What a place. I'm quite often disappointed by takeaways but sometimes needs must and Aamnah's certainly changed my opinion. I have used this place twice now and on both occasions the food has been fabulous. Their kitchen offers 'different' dishes to other takeaways and if you collect you get to see the chefs cooking. Fascinating and mouthwatering.

Visiting from Yorkshire and what a fantastic place for Breakfast. We had the buffet breakfast which was well stocked, all beautifully cooked and the icing on the cake was that they have Yorkshire puddings. I have never in my life thought of having Yorkshire puddings with breakfast, but I'll be taking it back to Yorkshire with me! Speaking of cakes...the cakes are absolutely huge as well and look fantastic. We're not down here very often but this will be our breakfast stop whenever we are in the area.

It was Sunday, so pretty busy, but very well managed and plenty of staff. Didn't have to wait for more than s minute, if that. The carvery was insanely good 👍 I had been looking forward to that all week and was not disappointed!

The place was far from us so we had to ride the bus to get there (without car). We decided to have our breakfast at the said place. Everything was good, we were excited and got in the queue. Delicious, mouthwatering foods and pastries getting our empty stomachs grumble. Sadly, we didn't expect to be treated a bit rude by the lady in the cashier. We honestly didn't notice the note upon entering that we have to choose a table and get the table number before getting in the line. She told us to do that and we had to go back to the end of the line again after getting the table number. I'm not trying to say that they have bad service in total, it's just that moment which made our first ever experience here a bit sad. Lesson: Learn to read posters. But overall, the food was great and we enjoyed our time! There's also a play side for kids to have fun! Wasn't able to take videos or pictures of the food though.

We have been coming to the new farmhouse for a few months great every time , We did visit a lot in December Christmas time food was spot on especially the Christmas chicken burger 10/10 Kayleigh was amazing great service every time from her lovely smile and so polite would recommend 👊🏻

Wow, what an amazing little find. Went on a trip with Diamond Quality Care Newbury Berkshire to the Alison Macgregger at Hythe Marina . Weather rained off our fish and chips, so come to this amazing little pub. Excellent and patients and service from Kayley and Rocky went above and beyond for us . Great food served. Amazing . We had 11 members, 3 staff, 8 clients, and 3 in wheelchairs. 2 manual and 1 electric. All catered for and great disability access. Will definitely be back. Would highly recommended 👌 Many thanks for your service and patience and also amazing food (everyone cleared their plates). Bad weather turned into a lucky find for us. We are already taking about our return next year. Thanks again
