We have lived close by for years and this is our first visit. Dinner with friends. What a lovely pub! Very pleasantly surprised. Taken to a table tucked away in a corner, perfect for catching up with friends we haven’t seen for a while. The menu isn’t extensive but it is a good size, meaning that the chef can concentrate on presentation rather than having to contend with a multitude of dishes. I had the pork belly, it was perfectly presented and very tasty. Others at the table had the pie of the day, chicken and leek, and fish and chips. All good sized portions. Eton mess Sunday for my dessert and local ice cream for the others. Now that we have discovered this little gem so close to home we will be back.

Extremely tasty food. Very clean. Great decor and friendly helpful staff. I'm vegetarian and my girlfriend is vegan and coeliac and we sti felt like we had choice. The staff were extremely helpful with this and their colour coded plate system for allergies put my girlfriend at ease. They also seemed to have an excellent range of drinks. Just called in on the spare of the moment, Monday night is burger night, amazing value, two well presented, well cooked burgers, each with a lovely basket of fries, served with a smile, garlic ciabata starter, washed down with a pint of Guinness (had to on Patrick's night) and a soft drink for the wife, all for under £40. We've eaten here 3 or 4 times and not been disappointed. Lovely friendly atmosphere and made to feel very welcome.

Visited for Brunch on a saturday at 12, £32 per person for food, and unlimited drinks. The food was delicious and the Mimosa's were perfect! The decor inside is so nicely done as well. Cant wait to go back!! Visited again for the Coronation afternoon tea, absolutely lovely at only £16.95 each plus £7 for prosecco!

A beautifully decorated English pub with an excellent menu and reasonable prices. The food was superb, as was the service (thanks Chloe). I had the Steak & Ale pie and Bread & Butter Pudding, and they were both delicious. Highly recommended.
