Lovely birthday visit to The Dew Pond. After a very warm welcome by owners Julie and Keith, we enjoyed drinks outside on the decking, overlooking the garden and surrounding greenery. As usual, also enjoyed some delicious cheese straws while perusing the menu. I went for the cheese soufflé, beef and a very refreshing espresso ice cream - perfect way to finish in the warm weather. Service from Marie and Emma was a particular highlight - considerate and professional but giving enough space to enjoy yourself. Would highly recommend at any time of the year but particularly as we come into the warmer weather, it’s a beautiful place to visit.

What an excellent evening. Started with a convivial drink in the salon adjoining our room. Service unobtrusive and efficient plus a wonderful menu of impeccable dishes. Every member of our party was impressed, even the most jaded reviewer...

Delicious food, very kind staff. Would definitely recommend. The baked cheese soufflé and the dark chocolate covered honeycomb were delicious!

Lovely staff who serve with a smile. Fast service. Food is served hot and good portions which is super tasty and locally sourced which is amazing to support the community. The new landlord and landlady are super friendly and really nice people who have now included a children's menu and have high chairs. The pub is also dog friendly. The pub has pool table, darts board, plenty of seating for meals and outside heated smoking area as well as a nice sized garden for activities which they hold regularly. The food is really nice and their new menu is superb for quick snacks or for a full on meal. The little boy really enjoys the chicken bites which are actual chicken breast rather then blended up meat like normal chicken nuggets.

This place is an absolute gem! The food is not only delicious but also prepared with clear passion and expertise. Each dish is a delightful surprise, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. Excellent, homemade food. Locally sourced ingredients and the thick cut chips are to die for! Owners are lovely and have really gone all out on this little place! Definitely coming back!!

New tenants and doing great. Atmosphere and service great, food tasty. Price in par with any pub in the area Well worth a visit.

Update 15/9/24: It's great to see the place open and serving food again (the new owners still need to update their writeup here on Google; as their website has dosappeared). The chalk noticeboard outside also made it seem the place not open today, but it was. We enjoyed their tasty burger as well as the scampi. There's a good pub food selection on the menu, but just 1 beer was on tap unfortunately (Adnams Ghost Ship) - it was well conditioned and went down well. Nice touch to see baby changing facilities in the gents. Good, fair prices and friendly service. We're looking forward to coming back again after another superb countryside walk. We arrived later than planned thinking food was until 4pm, it was actually 3pm- totally our fault. Tony popped his head out and said despite the kitchen being cleaned down he could rustle something simple for us. 4x very happy people fed, a few drinks and we went in our merry way. Great service, light banter with Paul and the staff, dog cuddles (very important) and sensibly priced. Deffo return.

Food was average. Pretty tasty but carrots with Sunday roast were pretty dried out and hard/slightly raw. Portion sizes reasonable. Wait time was around 30mins even though they weren’t overly busy. Staff fast, friendly and efficient.

Went here for lunch and received excellent service. The staff were helpful and the food came out very quickly after we ordered. The food was delicious. I had the fishcakes and they were incredible as was the chocolate brownie. The prices are reasonable for the portion sizes you receive. The pub is also very dog friendly with a table at the entrance with treats and water bowls. Will definitely be going back and would recommend to others.

Very cozy pub with very nice coffee and halloumi chips. Friendly staff too! Do remember to make a reservation for busy dates though.

Lovely food and pub we sat in the bar area with our dog so felt a little neglected at times but the good was really good so we didn't really need anything. The have a little table as you come in with all the things you need for your 4 legged friend, blankets, treats, water bowls 😁 🐕
