Very happy and cheerful staff, I was heartily welcomed, even though I hadn't booked. Also the staff went out of their way to ensure I wanted. Right now the meal, it was exceptionally presented and cheerfully delivered, at 1st I thought the fish was over cooked but the crispy battered and the soft white fish told me it was perfect, all the staff were great and I will definitely pay them another visit. Went there for Sunday lunch after booking a table for 12 pm. At the time of booking, I advised the pub of taking a dog. Decided to try the chestnut, pumpkin and seed roast with seasonal vegetables and gravy. Asked if we could have a Yorkshire pudding too. Drink was 1/2 pint of orange juice and lemonade. The seed roast was very tasty. Booking a table is recommended. Would recommend.

Today we went on the new forest open top bus tour and planned to stop by the green dragon for lunch. I enjoyed a refreshing pint of the swordfish ale and my fiancée had a hot chocolate, which she said was one of the best hot chocolates she's had! I had the burger and fries and my fiancée had the ham, egg and chips. We finished our meal with sticky toffee puddings and these were also very tasty, the puddings were served with salted caramel ice cream which went perfectly with the pudding. Everything was perfect, we especially enjoyed the chips which came with the ham, they were very tasty and cooked perfectly. We shall recommend the green dragon to friends and family when they visit the new forest, we shall return!

This is an excellent country pub near the road so it is easy to find and it has a great car park behind. The bear garden is pretty and big, on Friday they play music and it has a great ambience. We booked a table for Saturday night and everything was good, from the service to the food. We had a grill night and specials to choose from and we all decided to have fish and chips at the end. The portions were perfect and the waitress offered a very good service. It is a recommended visit.

A very pleasant lunch, food quality was excellent, pork T bone was amazing, the recipient of the burger said "one of the best in a long time",and the starter was a great size for a small appetite
