Never had a bad meal here! Eating out can be a bit of a lottery, it’s not cheap anymore. But whenever we go here we always have a lovely meal and the staff are brilliant!

Fantastic family run restaurant. Small menu. But great quality. Specials of the day also. What makes this place is the people who run it. They remember you. Willing to go the extra mile. Value for money. Car park to the rear. Gets busy, so book in advance. Suitable for disabled people.

Best Italian around! Doesn't matter which time of day you go, the service is flawless. Every staff member says hello and they are so quick to bring your food out! Everything tastes so fresh and for a very reasonable price!!

Recently attended a Christmas party for a youth football team here. The set up was really well done and allowed space for the kids to move around and talk to all their friends. Very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere with very friendly and talkative staff which made the evening feel homely. The food was delicious and very well cooked, pad Thai is my favourite dish and they do not disappoint here. They catered for everyone really well, even asking if we wanted specific dishes cooked up (being vegetarian this was a bonus as I've not had this before at a restaurant). From hearing others talk, the food was perfectly cooked with a good amount of spice so everyone enjoyed their meals. Also not many takeaway places will offer chicken nuggets and chips which is perfect for children so everyone is happy. Staff were top notch, food was delicious, atmosphere was so welcoming. All round had an amazing time and definitely eating here more often!!

Had takeaways from here before which are always fantastic. Decided to eat in this evening and again not disappointed. I can recommend the Red Curry. They will make most dishes vegetarian if requested, either with veg or tofu. They do not have an alcohol licence so we took our own wine. Lovely staff, food is delicious and at a very reasonable price.

An amazing place with fantastic food. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Best of all you can take your own drinks 😁👍. This is our favourite local restaurant.

We were over in Alderholt with my parents in law, no food in and we really could not be bothered cooking. I'd noticed various times the Thai kitchen being mentioned on facebook, so, well, thought we would pop in. We went along really quite early to order a take away. Parents in law and Wife went for chip based products, I went for a Red Curry with mixed starter. The lady who served us ( and cooked ) was so nice, very friendly, gave us some nibbles and suggested we sit and decide what we wanted. Took about 10-15 mins to make all of the meals and off we went. Through some error somehow I managed to be given a free side dish, which was offered without paying - which is the first I've ever had. Got home and well, we all enjoyed our meals. My Red curry was lovely. Great depth to the flavour and a really good portion size. Will we go again, most certainly. My parents in law also know they can get the meal delivered for £2. You really can't squabble with that. So, it's a big thumbs up from us.

Lovely hotel. The room we stayed in (Orient Express) was really comfortable with a great bathroom with a roll top bath. The food was delicious and great value for money. Last but not least, the staff. They are an absolute credit to the hotel, really friendly, and made sure we were well looked after. Thank you !!!

Had a lovely overnight stay here, whilst working away from home. Beautifully presented and themed. Food was outstanding and the staff extremely pleasant. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautifully done hotel. All the little details around railway station and trains are well thought out and brilliantly executed for everyone to appreciate whether you're into trains or not. The room was lovely, with a rain shower wet room and nicely done. Restaurant was like a train carriage and food was very reasonably priced for evening meal and breakfast was included with room, all delicious. With only 5 rooms in the hotel, you get a great service, all staff were friendly, welcoming and accommodating. It's only a 18 minute walk into Fordingbridge town centre and great base for exploring this part of the new forest. We will definitely be staying again.

Really enjoyed our first food visit to the Old Farmhouse Restaurant. Loved the Big Burley Breakfast. 😋 My soya milk latte was very good too. Plenty of free parking also. We visited in December and it was nicely busy for a brunch. Staff were friendly and helpful 🙂

A really nice and homey tea room in Burley in the New Forest. Traditional English menu with a few extras. Breakfast is served until 11am and cooked lunch starts at 12 noon. Light bites of sandwiches, baguettes, cakes and scones are available all day. We arrived midday so we had lunch there. The farmhouse grills was great and so did the pie of the day and the fish and chips. After the meal, we had a walk to inspect the village and walked to Burley manor before returning to the tearoom for their cake and afternoon tea. There are indoors and outside seating. Once seated, the staff will come to your table to take your food and drinks order. To pay, you will need to remember your table number and make your contactless card payment at the till. Plenty of car parking spaces on site for the tearooms customers. If you intend to have a walk after your meal, tell the staff so that they know when you are coming back.

What am amazing find! Such a friendly and welcoming pub. The menu is varied, but more importantly, really excellent quality. We had the aubergine rollatini (a rolled-up aubergine and rocotta bake) which was superb. There are different specials and Friday is fish and chips day when you can even take it away if you want (for £12). The Foresters is definitely worth a detour - only about 5 mins from Fordingbridge. Ps. Back again! This time we had the truly amazing burgers (see photo). One was chicken, with pulled pork, cheese, onion rings (all in the burger!), and the other was a double wagyu beef , bacon, cheese and onion rings burger. The wagyu beef was so juicy and beautifully cooked. The home made onion rings were also pretty special too!

Fabulous meal yesterday evening. Chose from the fixed-price Thai menu, food was excellent (cooked by Thai chef). Service was very friendly, and there was a nice relaxed atmosphere. We have been going here over several years, and it never disappoints.

Returned to this New Forest pub after a few years absence a few weeks ago and it has become a wonderful local for us - we live 1/2 mile away but met friends and their families who literally live across the road having big end of week get together. Fireside table (please leave for us ) lovely welcome - young team with big smiles and nothing is too much trouble. Norman -“ the pub dog” possibly the most lovely and well behaved dog in the the Forest. The New Forest Local - go and enjoy! Food is good pub food and Friday Fish & Chips great cooking and wonderful value.

Stopped off at this pretty New Forest pub for lunch after a dog walk. Friendly welcome from the lovely staff, it’s a nice country style pub which is very dog friendly. We both had the Sunday roast lamb. It was cooked to perfection and served with a generous array of well cooked vegetables (the cabbage was superb!), lovely crispy and buttery roast potatoes, fluffy Yorkshire pudding and a home made gravy that I could literally drink by the gallon! We were both tempted to lick the plates. 😂. I would heartily recommend this as a stop for a bite to eat and/or a drink when in the Forest.

rench toast £9.5 Latte £2.8 Lovely atmosphere and friendly service here. Loved the French toast. It was good to pair with crispy bacon and fresh blueberries jam. I especially liked the fresh blueberries jam, really delicious and fresh! And the latte was delicious as well. Overall, it is a good choice for brunch or breakfast.

Met up with some friends at Framptons, and wow, what a place! The customer service was absolutely amazing. The GM personally took the time to chat with us, going through all the cool events they run (seriously, there’s always something happening!). They kept checking in to make sure we were all good, which made us feel really looked after. The interior? Stunning. It’s got that perfect mix of cosy and stylish, making it a great spot to relax, catch up, and soak in the atmosphere. If you haven’t been yet, highly recommend!

Love the interior of this place. Atmosphere is great. Visited on a Saturday for a quick lunch. Coffee is decent and tuna toastie came with side salad and chips which was a large portion and very tasty. Female staff really friendly. Food came out quite slow even though it wasn’t busy and they forgot to bring our bill after we asked.

We stayed for one night, staff were warm and welcoming. We had the gurkha food in the evening and it was absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend the food. The rooms had character, were clean and tidy and well presented. Our only criticism was that the mattresses on the beds were too soft for us so we didn't have the best sleep - however that is just personal choice and wouldn't stop us from staying here again.

This was an amazing place and the staff, were all so lovely and bent over backwards to help us. They had an English and Gurkha menu. The gurkha food was delicious. It was great to be able to try it. I'd love to have more now. Room was perfect. We were late for breakfast the next morning, but one of the cooks himself came out and acted as waiter and made something for us. Highly recommend going.

Warm, friendly, quaint, cosy and accommodating. Had a great 1 night stay here, food was absolutely delicious and one of the best breakfasts I've had in a very long time. Room was cosy, plenty of tea and coffee provision too. Would recommend a stay here and I will sure return next time I'm in the area.

Camping nearby, we had 2 meals at the Monmouth Ash. I recommend the baked camenbert sharer it's delicious. Service is good. Lots of choice on the menu. Plenty of parking.
Rating: 5 / 5
The Monmouth Ash has a really cosy atmosphere, making it a very pleasant place to eat. The menu is not huge, but the choices available are all top quality. Prices are a little higher than we were hoping for, but not ridiculously high, and they were definitely justified by the quality of the food. The staff are very friendly, courteous and inviting. We'd definitely go back there if we're in the area again.

Just called in for a G&T off the bus from Bournemouth, down from Birmingham and over from Australia! 😂😂 It’s been a long day! Nice and warm at the pub and good service at the pub. Nice friendly service and good atmosphere. Dog friendly and it looks like a well laid out pub. Front and rear seating, restaurant seating, bar and indoor lounge. Only a short visit but I liked what I saw.

Been here a few times now, and it is a lovely pub. Had the Sunday roast, which was good. It tends to get quite busy, so it might be good to book a table. Pet-friendly in some areas. Lovely in the summer with the outdoor area and the play area for older children.

Went for a long walk on the common & a delicious meal here after. Not cheap but excellent quality & service - midweek anyway. Fabulous setting & must get packed in the summer. Definitely revisit if in the area.

I love coming to the Alice Lisle, the staff are always lovely and I look forward to seeing what's on the menu. The pub itself is beautiful at all times of the year. It was very quiet for a Friday night but that could be something to do with the freezing rain outside! We meet friends for dinner and drinks and had a lovely night overall. Pie of the day was steak and ale and was presented really well. Even the burger and chips had great presentation. I had the pan fried chicken "breast" risotto which tasted lovely but wasn't breast unfortunately! Though the chicken skin went well with it. I recommend their zinfandel rosé wine, sweet and tasty!

Our company met here for lunch following a team walk in the local area. (18 of us) The location and building are absolutely stunning. We had a small window of sunshine in which to enjoy the beer garden. The staff were very attentive, checked in on us throughout our time there and were really flexible with timings for food. We sat in the back room, a great space with a private bar and kitchen (though a little dark) The food itself was fantastic. Catered for all dietary choices. Couldn't fault anything here. It's a shame I live so far away I would recommend booking over the warmer months to avoid disappointment, especially due to its remote location. Thanks so much team!

Booked a table for Sunday lunch for a large party and large dogs. We were allocated a roomy area in the restaurant and the staff were amazing. Our waitress was brilliant and very knowledgeable about the menu and the wines. Nothing was too much trouble. The ambience was relaxing and a great backdrop for our get together and the food was superb. We all ordered different items and everyone enjoyed their food so huge compliments to the chef. Will definitely book a table next time we are walking our dogs there

What a find! We stopped at the High Corner Inn for lunch while exploring the New Forest, and it was one of the best decisions we made. The garden seating is spacious and peaceful, surrounded by nature, making it the ideal place to relax with a drink and enjoy a delicious meal. The food was incredible — we had the fish and chips and the homemade steak & ale pie, both of which were cooked to perfection. What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even bringing out a bowl of water for our dog Turbo without us having to ask! The little details made all the difference.
