We had our wedding here earlier this year and honestly had the absolutely best experience! From every tiny detail to being cared for by the whole team on the day we could not have picked a better venue. Amber was so helpful with all the organisation, giving us tips and helping us with a vision to make the pub feel like our own on the day. She is very organised, put up with many emails and no question was too small! She was super helpful when we had an issue with one of our suppliers a week before which really helped to take the stress off. Honestly we cant praise the team enough on the day. From setting up the whole venue perfectly to making us feel like one of the pub family on the day the whole thing was amazing. Greg, Patrick, Marc and the whole team were amazing and so friendly to us and all of our guests. Our friends and family were so amazed at the space, staff and of course the food! The meal was delicious and so many people have commented to us how nice it was to be able to pick their options on the day and to have such a high standard of food. The evening food was also apparently very good (not that I had much space left to try it!) We honestly cant thank the whole team enough for giving us the perfect day. We felt so welcomed and the whole vibe of the pub was just so perfect for us. So many of our family and friends were amazed and have said how great the day and the team were. Thank-you so much and we will be in again soon! Annelies and Martyn x

We had the best wedding reception at The Londesborough this October - the perfect London pub knees up to follow our town hall ceremony. Throughout the entire planning process the team were incredibly helpful and supportive - a huge shoutout to Amber especially for her amazing attention to detail, helping us to feel so well looked after and answering all of our questions. Then a massive thank you to the team on the day for setting everything up so wonderfully and just as we'd asked for - when we arrived we were blown away by how great it looked. Although to be honest we barely needed to bring any of our own decorations as all the posters looked so great they did the job for us! The night itself was wonderful with fantastic service and delicious food - all of our guests commented on how tasty it was and how much they loved the venue. The sound system was brilliant and dance floor with all the lights was so much fun. Such a great night celebrating in a cool, laid back venue, perfect for the for the kind of wedding day we wanted. Really reasonable price wise compared to lots of other venues in the same area. Would throughly recommend!

We held our wedding here and it was the perfect venue. The staff are so gracious, helpful and friendly. From the wine tasting to our panic emails in the run up, they helped us with every step and met all our requests! We can't thank them enough for all their help and for hosting our special day with such care and thoughtfulness. They were so kind helping us set up and the room looked amazing. It's such a beautiful pub. All our guests commented on how good the food was, and the cocktails were especially loved! We just had the best day. Thank you so much The Londesborough! You were exceptional hosts! Also, dog-friendly so our ring-bearer could join too :)

We had our wedding here back in September and my only regret is that we didn't write this review sooner! Amber was a total godsend in helping us organise the day and made the process very easy. Patrick, Gregory, Marc and all the bar and kitchen staff were amazing on the day and made it truly special and very fun day! We cannot recommend The Londesborough more for a pint or for food but especially for a wedding. we'll be back again soon x

A WARM HUG There are few places that embody the spirit of a true Public House better than The Londesborough in Stoke Newington. On a Sunday afternoon, as the golden hour bathes the mismatched furniture in light, it’s a microcosm of the neighborhood. A rainbow coalition of families, friends, dates, and couples—diverse in every sense—gather under the same roof, basking in that peculiar British ritual: the Sunday roast. The tables, small and snug, compel you into familial intimacy. Ideal, perhaps, for nostalgic group photos but less so when it feels like you’re whispering secrets to your aunt while competing against the decibel level of a stag do two tables over. The acoustic design—or lack thereof—gives every conversation a soundtrack of pounding shouts and boozy laughter. A little soundproofing wouldn’t hurt. The service, though, is faultless. Charming waiters flit from table to table with the grace of seasoned pros, soothing crying babies with an easy smile and fixing minor grievances before they boil over. A tear-streaked toddler may have been the only customer more demanding than my cousin, who lamented dry roast potatoes within earshot of the server. Their response? Extra gravy and a fresh batch of spuds, as if summoning kindness itself from the kitchen. And the food? Well, it certainly knows how to make an entrance. A picture-perfect roast arrives with beef sliced so thin it could double as a charming farmhouse perched atop a vivid patchwork of green, orange, and gold. The potatoes are perfectly crisp and sound like an applause with each bite, and the vegetables carry a crunch that suggests they haven’t been boiled to death—a rarity in British pub dining. But for all the Instagrammable glory, there were hiccups. The potatoes lacked that fluffy, buttery interior you dream about, and the gravy, though rich, wasn’t quite bold enough to command respect. It’s good, honest food—but not the kind of roast that’ll have me writing poetry to its memory. What elevates the experience is the warmth of the staff, who inject charm and care into every interaction. They don’t just serve you a meal; they make you feel at home, even as the pub threatens to burst at its seams with raucous camaraderie. In short, The Londesborough was a Sunday well spent. A cosy and comforting roast that feels like a warm hug and a volume loud enough to remind you you’re alive.
