âA fantastic course. Impeccable greens, well kept fairways with decent tees, plus nice sand in the bunkers. A nice setup for all the holes with good challenges, but nothing too difficult. So great for most level of golfers. I wouldn't recommend getting buggies though as they must remain on the cart path. In some ways that's good as it keeps the fairways in good nick, however, there can be more walking and time spent to get the right club. The service was brilliant from conversations with Tom who dealt with all my groups needs and making it perfect for the day, with Alice who looked after all of us brilliantly. There was a lot of nice little touches - with individual gold name tags for our bags, a lovely pouch with The Grove tees and pitch repair. Alice made sure my cakes were cut up and ready at the halfway house before hole 10, and took a load of nice pictures of us on the first tee. Really impressed with the overall experience with a big Thank You to Tom and Alice who made my 50th really unforgettable.â

âPlayed on the excellent Heritage course in the Pro Am. A very challenging course with some interesting holes. The condition cannot be faulted in any way (maybe the rough a little high đ). Lovely clubhouse and friendly staff. A great experience.â

âThe course itself is famous for having been designed by Seve Ballesteros and for having 6 of each of the par 3's, 4's & 5's. It is a challenging parkland course with a lot of water hazards strategically placed with the first hole being a medium length par 3 with the green protected with a pond at the front and sides. That fact kind of sets you up nicely to know what's coming for the rest of the round. The course itself was beautifully maintained with the fairways being pretty immaculate and cut into some interesting slopes amongst the trees. I was very fortunate to be able to play this course the day before a PGA qualifying event. The greens had been cut and ironed and had that crunch feel that you get when your shoes break the surface almost like walking on a frosty puddle. To say they were fast was an understatement and they were very consistent giving a very even roll. I played from the Diamond (White) tees and found it to be quite a long course. The course flows beautifully never having that up and back feel and is cut into the contours of the land giving a great variety of tee shots and approaches. There were only two draw backs to my mind. The rough was brutal and combined with the water means that any errors were punished severely, so a good supply of balls is advisable. Also like a few other courses I have played, there are electrical lines crossing part of the course, here being a par 3. So I got a free reload having struck my tee shot beautifully and hitting a wire, but that didn't really make up for the lost ball and second, not so great strike, at the same hole. The course does offer some great views of itself from the tees and the way it cuts through various copse means that considered play is essential. The club house was very nice with plenty of pictures of Seve to admire. It is definitely one that i would like to play again and would do so on a regular basis with the undulations and water providing a variety of challenges.â

âGreat course, not too long and not too narrow, but still a decent challenge, especially if you don't get your drive away or if you don't know your yardages with your irons. Greens in decent shape given that we played towards the end of October after a week of rain. Good little hut serving bacon/sausage baps and hot/cold drinks. Great views of the ever growing London skyline from the holes at the highest point of the course (and the club house). Also saw a giant mushroom! đâ

âTop track, tight in places, miss fairway and donât expect a clear show to green, tangle with trees at your peril, didnât like the mats on the par 3s but understandable in winter. Greens slick. Very friendly staff, members and a great sausage and egg sandwich to finish.â
