It’s a nice place. The staff were friendly. The drinks are nice too. We were missing some irons. Would have been nice to have a few more options in terms of equipment to use. Booking is definitely recommended.

Just had a great hour of golf at Pitch City. Loving the Trackman system. Roger and Aline as staff were fun and engaging to chat with. I will be organising my office event there and back soon as I just work over at 100 Liverpool Street.

Had a great time with 2 hours of golf with my Dad. Great experience with that Trackman technology. We were able to do 18 holes and fantastic food and drink. Will return!

“The course itself is famous for having been designed by Seve Ballesteros and for having 6 of each of the par 3's, 4's & 5's. It is a challenging parkland course with a lot of water hazards strategically placed with the first hole being a medium length par 3 with the green protected with a pond at the front and sides. That fact kind of sets you up nicely to know what's coming for the rest of the round. The course itself was beautifully maintained with the fairways being pretty immaculate and cut into some interesting slopes amongst the trees. I was very fortunate to be able to play this course the day before a PGA qualifying event. The greens had been cut and ironed and had that crunch feel that you get when your shoes break the surface almost like walking on a frosty puddle. To say they were fast was an understatement and they were very consistent giving a very even roll. I played from the Diamond (White) tees and found it to be quite a long course. The course flows beautifully never having that up and back feel and is cut into the contours of the land giving a great variety of tee shots and approaches. There were only two draw backs to my mind. The rough was brutal and combined with the water means that any errors were punished severely, so a good supply of balls is advisable. Also like a few other courses I have played, there are electrical lines crossing part of the course, here being a par 3. So I got a free reload having struck my tee shot beautifully and hitting a wire, but that didn't really make up for the lost ball and second, not so great strike, at the same hole. The course does offer some great views of itself from the tees and the way it cuts through various copse means that considered play is essential. The club house was very nice with plenty of pictures of Seve to admire. It is definitely one that i would like to play again and would do so on a regular basis with the undulations and water providing a variety of challenges.”

“Friendly, not busy and cheap membership by London standards. Although it's a 9 hole, it's a proper golf course with many holes needing a driver and mid to long iron to reach the green. Beyond that, it's quite nice that it's a nine hole, you can get round in an hour and a half and still have time for the rest of your life. The greenkeepers do a great job of keeping standards up on a relatively shoestring budget.”

“Played on the excellent Heritage course in the Pro Am. A very challenging course with some interesting holes. The condition cannot be faulted in any way (maybe the rough a little high 😆). Lovely clubhouse and friendly staff. A great experience.”

“Overview— Beautiful and welcoming course that now boasts a vibrant cohort of young members - there is a great connection of respect between the older and younger people at the club. Course & Improvements— There have been significant improvements to the club house and course in the last few years — and there are more to come! The course drains really well during the winter months so you can play almost all year round without fear of a mud bath. Mark and the greens keepers are top notch at maintaining and fixing issues. Both tricky and rewarding — you’ve got to play well to shoot a good score round at HGC! It’s only a 9 hole but every hole is unique with its own challenges, there’s no filler holes. Culture— I found the environment to be very friendly — golf can be daunting to get into, the atmosphere here helped me feel comfortable to play a lot (just by booking on with random members) and get down from ~30 to ~13 HCP. There is a good mix of low, mid and high handicappers and they all play along side each other. This club was my first experience of golf (been here 2 years now) and after visiting other clubs I’m so thankful to have landed here. Hampstead Golf Club has a great opportunity to become a hidden gem of North London. It focuses on the importance aspects of tradition without making enemies of the future and the positive cultural change the game is going through. It marries the wonderful history of the game with a youthful outlook.”

“Went for a happy hour and had a fun time. The customer service was great and very helpful. They directed us where to go and the drinks were cold. Mini golf was fun and entertaining. Only played nine holes but they at least had two course of nine holes, if not three.”
