Excellent place for a celebration lunch - good management, careful attention to our requests and plans, really delicious carvery (the beef!) and well presented starters and desserts, efficient service, and all in a lovely spacious function suite with views over the greens. No need to be a member.

We had our wedding at the Royal Mid Surrey Golf Club on 2nd September 2023 and what a brilliant choice that was. Emma, Marcin, Kenga and the whole team worked around the clock to make our event well and truly special. They were very accomodating and the guests all had a fantastic time. We could have not simply have asked for anything more.

Recently held my son's 21st birthday at the venue. The event organiser (Erin) was excellent. She was thorough, supportive and we could not want for anything On the night Marcin - was not only professional, but kept things moving so smoothly - made sure everything was on point. The staff - they helped to make the event memorable in every way. We could not ask any more of everyone involved. The venue was perfect , the finger food .. perfect... to be honest we could have continued partying until dawn. Thanks again for a memorable event

Great course, not too long and not too narrow, but still a decent challenge, especially if you don't get your drive away or if you don't know your yardages with your irons. Greens in decent shape given that we played towards the end of October after a week of rain. Good little hut serving bacon/sausage baps and hot/cold drinks. Great views of the ever growing London skyline from the holes at the highest point of the course (and the club house). Also saw a giant mushroom! đ

A golf course with a tale of two halves - The first half is a short but tight track with no real stand out holes apart from maybe the 2nd which has a tight and blind tee shot. From home 9 onwards the track really comes into it's own. The fairways and greens were in great condition with only a few dry patches around some areas. I played during a twighlight time and the course was relatively quiet. Would play again.

Really lovely course, well kept. Would of given 5 stars if bunkers were proper sand. Most are dirt. Very challenging course, narrow fairways. Greens are perfect. They spray them to make them look extra green. Very hilly course so you have to be fit if walking! Buggies available. Good choice of food extensive menu. Staff all round are friendly and helpful. Definitely be playing here again.

I just love this place. The team is incredible. They are kind, great at what they do and uber professional. I joined the Academy a few months ago and am enjoying every moment of the experience. The only downside is that we have to share the course with the public but the positives well make up for the negatives!

Such a fun time. Unique course worth playing for a good time. Shared with walkers, dogs and horses so need to give yourself 4-5 hrs for 18. Bring snacks and drinks for the course. Great greens, hooked balls are lost forever, played a scramble. Glad we came! No motor carts. Club and pull along carts available. Try their red top beer!

Great course. Not as easy as the course rating states with some very tricky holes to navigate. It's not one for the driver but will test skilled irons and wedges. Well worth thr green fee and would recommend and return.

Amazing value at just ÂŁ20. Greens are some of the best Iâve played on in the area. Certainly the best Iâve played on at a public course!! Itâs a classic golf course that will penalise bad shots. Members are among the friendliest Iâve come across.

I became an academy member six months ago, and the experience has been fantastic from the start. The course is both challenging and enjoyable, offering a great balance for golfers of all levels. The grounds team does an exceptional job keeping the course in pristine condition, and even after heavy rain, itâs never muddy. The Ladies section is well-established, and they are incredibly welcoming and supportive. The academy is a great way to get started with golf.

Upon venturing to Addington Palace Golf purely for a look around, I was approached by the Menâs Captain who introduced himself and asked if I needed any help with anything. He immediately came across as welcoming and warming, even offering to play a round of golf with myself to see if I liked the course! The course is magnificent and one of the most challenging, yet interesting I have played. I joined pretty much the next day as a Full Member.

Reviewing Callum the pro here â brilliant patient teacher who knows how to focus on key things for each player. I can only manage the occasional lesson currently and heâs so quick to isolate whatâs most important. Worth a visit in his own right and the course is great too.

The course is in fantastic condition year round and deals with wet weather better than any other local course that I have played. Addington Palace is the first club I have been a member at. Everyone has been incredibly welcoming and the social side of golf has been great. Would recommend the Saturday morning roll-ups to get involved.

A warm welcoming club to new members and visitors. Having only joined this summer, the members and management have gone above and beyond to ensure it was easy to settle in. The course has been consistently improved with regular course maintenance and improvements and continues to remain in great condition compared with many local courses.

Seve designed. Played here quite a few times and it remains one of the toughest golf challenges you can get! Every hole and indeed every shot has to be hit well or it will cost you shots. Greens are perfect...very undulating and as quick as any you've played. Loads of water and it all is in play. It will beat you up if you give it a chance, and can even if you don't! Well worth a visit. Club house lovely and views of "S" last green breath taking.

My son and I tee'd off at 5pm. Perhaps the most challenging course to date, high handicapers should carry a dozen spare balls. Accuracy is rewarded, everything else is penalised by this course. Keep eagle eyes on your ball as fairly easy to lose in the rough. Perfect manicured fairways and fast undulating greens. We decided not to look for more than half a minute for our balls. Still could play only 14 holes before darkness. 1 birdie, two pars, and rest unmentionable for each of us.

Great course. Very challenging with lots of water hazards and narrow fairways. Make sure you have a good few extra balls! Greens are superb whole course is very well looked after. Club house is very nice and modern. Good selection of beers and spirits. Good choice of food, very nice and well presented. Definitely be playing here again.

Friendly, not busy and cheap membership by London standards. Although it's a 9 hole, it's a proper golf course with many holes needing a driver and mid to long iron to reach the green. Beyond that, it's quite nice that it's a nine hole, you can get round in an hour and a half and still have time for the rest of your life. The greenkeepers do a great job of keeping standards up on a relatively shoestring budget.

Very well maintained place. Lots of greenery. Huge golf course. Falls in North London. Falls in London Borough of Barnet. Closest Tube station is Mill Hill East on the Northern Line. Lots of Golf tournaments, contests conducted here. The 1st floor venue is given on rent for Weddings, parties, anniversary gatherings, wake, reception, Farewell parties, etc. Kids friendly place. Family friendly place also. Toilet facilities are provided on the first floor which are very clean.

Excellent golf club. Course is very well kept, well done the groundsmen! Fairways are lovely, been well watered so a joy to play even in the hight summer. Greens are very fast and challenging. The club house is very nice with a lovely view of the course. Staff are all very friendly and there is a very good choice of beers and spirits at the bar. Nice changing rooms clean and even a sauna. Really picturesque course couldn't find a fault definitely will be coming here again soon.

My husband and I had our Indian Pre Wedding event here, and we have nothing but positive feedback for the Hendon Golf Club team. To start, our requirements were met with ease, Malachy and his entire team were beyond accommodating and nothing was too much for them. Our guests were blown away with the event, and I truly believe that this is down to the venue. The views of the golf course from the decking area, which we used for our food service, allowed for guests to relax and enjoy their meal with great views. To the entire team at HGC, we thank you so much. Our event was everything we could've wished for, and more. We'd highly recommend booking the space for any events!

Played a bunch of times with a pal of mine who is a member and we always get looked after because of him. Booked to play on Saturday just gone, and my pal got ill. The club still honoured his booking and treated us (non-members) but as a members friend just like we were members. They didn't need to, but they went over and above. Big shout outs to Carlos, Oliver, Fenella and Jack.

One of the best kept course I have visited and played. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the entire course was fantastic. The greens were perfect, the rough wasnât too rough and the fairways in better condition than a lot of other courses putting greens! Sausage bap was top notch as well. Highly recommend

Thank you to the friendly and well-informed staff at The Grove. On 26 June 2023, we had a very special celebration that called for a bottle of pink champagne and a very special lunch. The waitress talked me through the gf menu which basically included everything on the menu bar one thing. They cook their food on site and are willing to adjust for food allergies. It's the first time in years I've had fish and chips! And they were delicious. When it came to paying the bill, we were told that because of our celebrations, the bottle of champagne was on the house. Wow! We were so impressed. Then they presented a plate of macaroons and fruit with a piped 'Congratulations' in chocolate. I almost cried at their consideration. Thank you The Grove!

It's a must. The staff were fantastic the reception I got was out of this world from start to finish. Other than the 22 mile per hour winds we had to play in. The course was fantastic. Also after your game. They're clean your clubs shoes. Various other things it was just amazing. Thank you to the Grove and all the staff it was amazing experience. And we'll definitely. Will be coming. again.

A fantastic course. Impeccable greens, well kept fairways with decent tees, plus nice sand in the bunkers. A nice setup for all the holes with good challenges, but nothing too difficult. So great for most level of golfers. I wouldn't recommend getting buggies though as they must remain on the cart path. In some ways that's good as it keeps the fairways in good nick, however, there can be more walking and time spent to get the right club. The service was brilliant from conversations with Tom who dealt with all my groups needs and making it perfect for the day, with Alice who looked after all of us brilliantly. There was a lot of nice little touches - with individual gold name tags for our bags, a lovely pouch with The Grove tees and pitch repair. Alice made sure my cakes were cut up and ready at the halfway house before hole 10, and took a load of nice pictures of us on the first tee. Really impressed with the overall experience with a big Thank You to Tom and Alice who made my 50th really unforgettable.

Always a top course and now moving towards greatness. A marvellous test of golf that is now showing some class. Tees all good most fairways very good and all greens superb and very challenging. Bunkers are proper top course quality, properly raked to give you a chance. Give it a bit more time to mature and itâll be on a great number of golfers wish list. Btw great views of London too.

Lots of work being undertaken at the moment. An old hole has been found amongst the trees cut down. A site for a new clubhouse has been found and views to the city of London are beautiful. The foresight of the current owner seems to align perfectly with the original course architect. Large greens, wide fairways, a great test of golf. Don't let the par 69 fool you. This course can bite back as quick as look at you. Worth a try now, when it's completed, you won't be able to book a time or join as it will be full.

Wow. Havenât played many courses in the UK like this. Almost every hole could be their signature hole. Very undulating, various holes with plenty to think about in a stunning location with views over London. Lots of work ongoing but shows they invest and take the future of the club seriously. Worth the green fees!

A very good test of Golf and a course that has gone through significant redevelopment in the last few years. There were some truly fantastic par 3s some very challenging par 4s and a couple of interesting par 5s as well. Due to a lot of the felling of trees, the aesthetic of the course will perhaps take another 2 to 3 years to really mature. I think this could be an unbelievable course when they finish the work and the changes look more natural. I do think the clubhouse needs updating, but I believe there are plans to do that as well Would highly recommend playing here as it is a very good test of Golf

Been a member for many years, and because of the range of courses on which games have been arranged, up and down the country, by its' members, I have played courses I never believed I would, and met and become friends with literally hundreds of like minded golfers. The name says it all...The Social Golfer. If you want to play social golf with a great bunch of people with handicaps from 3 or 4 up to 28, then this is the site for you. The number of Lady members is growing at a very healthy rate, and we enjoy their company too. The club arranges several annual tournaments from a Match play tournament to the now highly regarded TSG Open, and a Par Three Comp., each with coveted trophies and sponsor prizes. The best thing I ever did was to join this club.

I feel fortunate to have aligned myself and all the young prodigies at AFRIYEA Golf Academy with The Social Golfer platform and its TSG handicapping system. Through this novel system, our talented youngsters and coaches have been able to meticulously record their scores and closely monitor their incredible progress in the game. For those of us who donât have loads of golfing friends, The Social Golfer (TSG) is a great way to play golf on a regular basis with a great bunch of people. Itâs easy to create and join games. There might be 2 of you, or 22 - itâs up to you. There are âMajorâ competitions organised by TSG which are great and played, for me, in the right spirit: fun but serious (there are trophies to win!). There is no way I would have been able to play as much without TSG and I wouldnât hesitate to recommend.
