Bespoke Fitted Wardrobes - Peter's service is very bespoke - attention to detail and problem solving - is something Peter really enjoys and was challenged by this space being uneven and shallow! I am thrilled with the results and highly recommend him. I had received quotes from the larger companies - Peter's prices are similar but the product is bespoke - I have exactly what I wanted.

Peter done a beautiful job creating the floating shelves for the alcove in my living. I definitely recommended if you need any carpentry work done. Very professional, Good quality and definitely knows what he is doing.

Through each stage of the process, Peter was excellent and extremely helpful, he visited our site and perfectly understood what we were aiming for, he provided a digital design sketch for the project and made multiple revisions and suggestions until we were happy with the final design. The fit and finish was perfect, he even spray painted the cabinets in the colours we had chosen and was able to fit everything in just one day. We’re so happy with the results and will definitely be using their services again in the future.

This is the second time we’ve used Doug’s services and had another great experience. Doug is very easy to work with, he takes time to understand your requirements and works to a very high standard, leaving the space clean and tidy each day. Nothing is too much trouble, even when I changed my mind on the colour, Doug was happy to re-paint the wardrobes to make sure we were 100% happy with the finish! I would definitely use his services again and have already recommended him to friends.

We are so happy with our build in bookcases and wardrobes. Doug did a fantastic job, they have elevated our rooms so much! He built most of them in his workshop, so was only at our house for 2 days, and was no disruption at all. Doug left the house dust free. We worked with Doug on some alcove wardrobes and alcove cupboards with floating shelves. Couldn’t be happier with the end result, but just as importantly Doug was great to work with both during the design and build. Couldn’t recommend Doug more highly.

I cannot speak highly enough of his work - the cupboards are perfect, beautifully finished, and done on time, on budget and with absolute clarity throughout on what we were getting. We needed our drawers re-done in our wardrobes. It was a very bespoke project as we didn't need something built from scratch, but within an already built structure. It was wonderful working with Solid Carpentry, and the final product was beautiful! Karl and JC have done a number of substantial projects in my house. I first hired them to built alcove bookcases and cupboards in the sitting room, and alcove wardrobes and shelving in two bedrooms. They did a fantastic job, paying close attention to detail and taking great care to help me get the best design possible. They came back the following year to build storage in our converted loft bedroom and shower, which was a difficult space to work in. Their craftsmanship is outstanding, and they are extremely considerate and nice to have around. I would highly recommend them.

Karl was great - he was communicative, delivered on time and the work is beautiful quality. The bookcase he made for us fits the space perfectly and has been much admired.

Karl and his colleague JC made some fitted wardrobes, window seats and shelving for our bedroom and we are really pleased with them – great quality and very nicely put together. We have had a lot of admiring comments from friends. Karl and JC were very easy to work with, and took great care with fitting them (there was a difficult warped ceiling to fit them around), they obviously take real pride in their work. Rafal's workmanship is to a high standard, I am happy with the under stairs storage he made and fitted. Communication was a bit tricky initially (and I was really adamant I wanted Rafal to do this job for us, after seeing his amazing portfolio!), once we passed that I can't fault him for the job done. I also have to say Rafal is a perfectionist and wasn't fully satisfied with how the door was installed, so he found a way to make it work better even if that meant a couple more hours of work. In mid 2024 we asked several local carpenters to visit to provide quotes for various jobs we wanted to be undertaken including under stairs storage, additional fitted kitchen units and various fitted cupboards and drawers. When Rafal came we knew that he was the right choice before he even sent his quotation, he exhibited calm confidence and also a warm and friendly nature. And we were pleased when his quotes were very competitive. Rafal's work was to an excellent quality. He was clear in what was achievable and good at communicating when modifications to any design were needed to be made. Rafal was great at communicating before and after the work was done, both by WhatsApp and calls, and was amazingly flexible on dates when we needed to adjust due to materials not arriving in time. As a contractor myself, I was very impressed by Rafal's van setup which is super clean and tidy and shows that he takes pride in his work and presentation of himself and his profession. I can highly recommend working with Rafal and we look forward to having him back for additional work.

Pete did some alcove shelving for us recently. The brief was to increase book space and hide our TV wires through the chimney breast as well as build a cupboard to put wires and Internet router in etc. he executed the brief flawlessly and was very pleasant to deal with. Would not hesitate to recommend and will certain look to engage Pete again when we finally get round to our long-planned renovations.

Pete has done a brilliant job for us. He installed floating alcove shelves in our lounge which look brilliant, and he put in floor to ceiling wardrobes in the bedroom which look amazing despite the dubious colour choice made by my partner. I wanted a low wall faced on two sides with a length of oiled oak.The work undertaken by Adrian and his team was immaculate. The wood was carefully prepared and cut to provide a perfect fit. It was exactly what I wanted and the work was completed with the minimum of fuss. Even the clean up was spot on!
