Paolo and his team (Dennis for the carpenter work) did an amaaaazing job at building a bespoke mezzanine in a relatively small bedroom with high ceilings. Paolo designed exactly what I wanted and Dennis did a fantastic job. Super nice, extremely clean, efficient, to the perfection. The structure is rock solid. It is impressive. I will ask them to do many more storage spaces in my flat in a few months. I warmly recommend them. They are just perfect.

Very impressed from start to finish with Bespoke Carpentry. Really easy to communicate with to discuss design ideas. David (the carpenter) was excellent, a lovely man who is a very talented carpenter. He worked incredibly hard and fast to get our bookcase cabinet fitted in just two days. Really pleased with everything. David also gave me lots of tips for finishing touches and aftercare.

Great service, very efficient. They made me a wardrobe with shelves in the eaves of a small bedroom, making great use of the space. The two guys who came and worked on it were very professional, as is the whole company. I would definitely recommend them to others.

He created some lovely wardrobes and a bookcase for our new house, designed exactly for our needs and perfectly fitting the space - a difficult job as the house is old and has no straight lines! Nigel undertook several projects for us recently - making and fitting a Victorian hardwood front door, replacing a staircase and fitting shelving in a built-in wardrobe. The finished results are excellent. Nigel is very diligent, doesn't cut corners and carries out his work to a very high standard. He is pleasant, courteous and reliable and clearly takes pride in doing a good job. His charges were also reasonable and fair. It was a pleasure having him around and we would highly recommend him.

I recently hired Thomas Carpentry & Joinery to make and install two alcove wardrobes in our bedroom and I couldn't be happier with the results. Our wardrobes are handmade and built to fit our space and needs perfectly. The quality of the finish is outstanding and has far exceeded my expectations - it was worth every penny! The whole process was brilliant - Ben was incredibly helpful in supporting us to get what we wanted, and he communicated with us throughout. The installation was quick, efficient and stress-free, and we weren't left with any mess whatsoever. I can't recommend Ben highly enough, and he'll be the first person we contact for any carpentry needs we have in future.

Ben and team recently designed and installed a new, bespoke kitchen for us. They did a fantastic job - the kitchen is beautiful, extremely high quality, and certainly value for money. It's no exaggeration to say that the work Ben and his team have done for us is absolutely incredible and truly skilled workmanship. Ben created two very large units for us, one for our home office and one in the loft bedroom. They are beautiful, extremely high quality and are beyond what we'd even expected. Ben is a pleasure to work with, very calm and patient. Works very neatly and cleanly so there's no disruption. We couldn't recommend Ben highly enough and are very pleased we decided to go with him based on reviews and our impression of his work. Best decision we made.

John has previously made some alcove shelves for us so I knew he’d do a great job of fitted wardrobes. They were made up and colour matched off-site so the fitting took less than a day and mess free. Really happy with these beautiful period style wardrobes which have a handy pull down rail. John also did rounded corners on request which we love.

I had been looking for a while to get some alcove cupboards and shelves made and after speaking to a few companies I decided to hire John for the work. The final product is of exceptional quality and John was able to install it all within one day. It has transformed our living room! John was great in giving advice on shelves and depth of cupboards and his communication throughout the process was excellent. I would highly recommend John. Solid Carpentry designed and installed a custom, built-in bookcase with a hidden door for me. We needed our drawers re-done in our wardrobes. It was a very bespoke project as we didn't need something built from scratch, but within an already built structure. It was wonderful working with Solid Carpentry, and the final product was beautiful! Dmitriy was attentive to all the special adjustments we wanted for our drawers and patient if we changed our minds on some details. Solid Carpentry used high-quality materials and did a great paint job. We love our drawers!!

Caledonian builders have just fitted two brand new wooden windows for me. What a brilliant job they made of it. The windows are first class! No more draughts for me! The family running it are a delight to work with. From the moment I placed my order to the moment the job was completed everything was dealt with efficiently and with an excellent attitude. The installation was so fast and efficient and I can give nothing but praise. My sister uses this company and highly recommended them to me. We are so delighted we found them. We asked for a quote from Caledonian because of their fantastic Google reviews and from that point on we have had a wonderful experience. Martin, Breda, and the rest of the team were incredibly professional, friendly, and a pleasure to work with. We had two sash windows replaced, one large casement and one small bathroom window, and they have all come out looking amazing! Although there was a bit of a wait for the windows, they were clear about that from the off and we ended up getting them fitted slightly earlier that we initially thought. The cost is very reasonable and the service is fantastic. 10/10!!

Martin and Breda were fantastic - we returned our brick reveals to their original openings, leaving huge holes in the wall, which was boarded up with ply during winter. We were living in the renovation and Martin took pity on us, given we also had no rads in the house! He prioritised us as customers which I am eternally grateful for, and turned the windows around in record time. Our builders installed the windows poorly, and broke two of the pulleys on installation and trapping the nylon rope behind the wagtail. Caledonian joinery kindly supplied us new pulley wheels to match our brass ironmongery, which really makes the windows feel premium and robust. A few things to note is their windows are glazed from the outside, bottom sashes come with horns, and they use all white warm up bars (inside the glazing) which are really good quality, and stay true to the original sash design (I always found the metal warm up bars to look a bit cheap). These windows were supply only so I had to fit my own ogee architrave and window board, which really finishes off the windows internally. Beautifully made replacement sash windows which manage to elegantly incorporate draught seals and full depth double glazing whilst maintaining the appearance on the original single glazed sashes. Not an easy task! Have also made a huge difference to the comfort and heating costs of our flat. Would definitely recommend.

I have used the USH a number of times. This time they came out to quote to fix an external drainage pipework issue. The pricing was reasonable and once instructed they came out as agreed and fixed the piping. Good communications and friendly staff.

I was very pleased with the service from booking, communication and the work carried out. Hamid was professional, friendly and helpful. He did a fantastic job repairing a hole in a wall and making good. Sameed, the electrician, also did a good job fixing some of my ceiling lights. I would recommend Upper Street Contractors. They do care about providing a good service and their pricing is reasonable.

USH visited my flat earlier this month (January 2025) to repair two door frames and rehang the doors. Their work was excellent and the team were courteous. They fully cleaned up after the job and the cost of the work was very reasonable. I will certainly use them again in the future.
