Came here on a weekday & it was very quiet. For starters we ordered the mixed platter which was really tasty, it was shared between four of us which worked well. Went well with the bread they served alongside. For the main we went for the mixed sharing platter which had a mixture of lamb and chicken, served with rice and salad. The lamb kebab was very tasty and succulent, the chicken shish was a bit dry and not as good, I enjoyed the rib and found the lamb shish a bit too chewy. Both platters were good value for money shared between four of us. The drinks were a bit pricey- especially cans of soft drinks being close to £4 and a cheeky service charge added because it was paid for in advance as opposed to added to the final bill. All in all the service was good, the food arrived in good time and was tasty for the most part. They also had a nice Christmas decoration theme with the lights etc.
The food was outstanding . The staff were friendly and attentive, always happy to recommend dishes and explain the flavors and origins behind them. It’s clear that the restaurant takes pride in offering an authentic experience, from the quality of the food to the warm hospitality.
We recently moved into the neighborhood and are so glad we found this hidden gem! The food was incredibly tasty, and the drinks were a perfect match. I had a glass of Turkish red wine, and it was delicious. I can see this spot becoming our favorite choice!
After a recent trip to Turkey, my wife and I were craving authentic Turkish cuisine here in London. A quick Google search led us to Galata Pera, and what a fantastic discovery it turned out to be! From the warm welcome we received to the impeccable dining experience, everything was truly exceptional. The food was absolutely phenomenal! Every dish burst with authentic flavors. The fresh, fluffy bread paired perfectly with the creamy, rich hummus, setting the stage for the meal. The shish kebabs were a highlight—tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. They were served with some of the best-cooked and most flavorful rice we have had in ages, making every bite unforgettable. Galata Pera is a hidden gem for anyone seeking authentic Turkish flavors in London. With outstanding food, a cozy ambiance, and excellent service, it is a must-visit. We will definitely be returning soon!
