Lovely friendly cafe with a huge choice on the menu. Popular place too which speaks volumes!

Food is great for a cafe. Very large menu of quintessential british cuisine. Breakfast, snacks, lunch, dinners, sandwiches, plus more. Coffee is fantastic, and the flat white is pick of the bunch. Staff are very friendly and accommodating to you needs and nothing is too much for them to arrange. It can be very busy during midweek mornings, which is a testament to the quality of the place. Builders, students, mothers, business meetings, couples, elderly groups, and others. Worth a visit.

Great place for breakfast. The place is nicely set out and the chairs are comfortable, especially the booths. We had the Full English breakfast and it was really worth the price. Will definitely be back again. Would still like to try their Thick Shakes as they look delicious.

A Hidden Gem in Otterbourne I had a meeting at a lovely spot in Otterbourne, Hampshire, and from the moment I arrived, I could tell this was a refined place. The elegant chandeliers with candles and the interesting selection of cars parked outside hinted at its charm. As I stepped inside, I was greeted by a beautifully arranged display of candles, candle holders, artisanal mugs, and boxes of sweet treats. It felt like walking through a boutique, and to the left, there was an inviting little shop with colorful, eye-catching items that made me pause and browse. Moving further in, I found an intimate room with a cozy fireplace and comfortable armchairs—an ideal setting to lose track of time. The space had different sections, each with its own character, including a low-ceilinged area leading to the café. At the café, a stunning display of round cakes caught my eye, and my daughter immediately chose the carrot cake. The counter also featured beautifully dried fruits—slices of oranges, lemons, and limes adding to the charm. I ordered a herbal blueberry tea, served in a Japanese-style metal teapot with a terracotta orange cup that perfectly complemented the deep color of my tea. To my delight, there was a cabinet filled with books and board games. Later, we ended up playing several rounds of Mikado, something I hadn’t done in years—it was such a wonderful surprise! I would highly recommend this place for meetings or gatherings in the Chandler’s Ford and Otterbourne areas. A truly special spot worth visiting!

Fantastic vegan options! Myself and my dad both had a full vegan 3 course meal! Very friendly and helpful staff and a beautiful pub!

Nice restaurant with good food, service can be slow at peak times and the food could be better for the price, but still a solid spot! Desserts are a highlight.

We are staying for the weekend locally and was recommended here from our host. Called for a last minute booking and although fully booked they manage to get us a table in the conservatory. What a quaint space and perfect for us with Christmas decor and low Christmas music playing. Serving mulled wine as well. My party had bangers and mash, paneer wrap, pie of the day (proper pie fully encased with Turkey, ham and leek) and Lamb with dauphinois potatoes. Our plates said it all as they were all cleaned up. Two of us decided to have the lemon cheesecake for desserts and it’s one of the best cheesecakes we’ve had. Food was delicious and nice portion sizes. Highly recommend and will return when we return to Winchester. Enjoy 😊

A great pub/hotel in the heart of Winchester and beside cathedral. Lovely well equipped room with lots of character. Fantastic breakfast and a massive thank u to Sam for finding out mobile phone. Brilliant service by him throughout our stay. Thank you

What a place. Always walked past and never gone in, but it's stunning. Beautiful building with a beautiful inside. I could have had the chorizo scotch egg for starter, main and dessert it was out of this world and beautifully presented. Didn't stay there just visited for food.

Called in for pre dinner drink. Lovely staff and a really cosy bar area. Good choice of gins and love they recommend pairing mixers. Great selection on all other drinks.

Took my Mother in law for a meal. Lovely staff made her feel very welcome. She gets flustered as she has a walker. This was not a problem at all. Amazing high quality food.

Celebrated my Uncle’s birthday. Brilliant staff and couldn’t do enough. The food was absolutely scrumptious and so tasty. Will visit again that’s for sure especially as we live in Dorset.

Went on Saturday night for a meal. The food we both had was delicious (amazing steak & ale pie) and generous portions. Staff very friendly too. Highly recommend.

Ate a lovely lunch here on Friday shortly after new year. Pub has recently changed hands and we were keen to try out new menu. Food was largely delicious, well prepared and presented. Pie of the moment (steak and onion) was particularly nice. Burgers were good as were chips. Mushroom stroganoff looked great but sauce was a bit bland. Pub was a bit cold so we kept coats on but new secondary glazing should keep it much warmer when heating is on. Will definitely come again. We didn’t stay overnight so can’t comment on the rooms.

I always have a great time here! Been to the quiz night on a Thursday a few times and it's so much fun, and for such a good price you can't go wrong! Food is always banging, served quickly and tasty. Staff are great too, they're really friendly and genuinely seem to care about their patrons and ensuring people have a good time. Would definitely recommend coming here 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Great food at a great price. A friend and I both had the senior deal at £6.49 for 2 course and an extra £1 for a third. The choices for this deal were limited, e.g., only 2 starters to choose from, but we were happy. A variety of veer on offer. The barmen were friendly and efficient.

A superb quality meal served with a smile in the most congenital of surroundings. Would love to have this as my own "local" but the food is worth travelling for.

We went here today for lunch. We were greeted by friendly staff and were able to choose our own table. The food was incredible. The flavours were absolutely delicious. I had the burger and had to ask chef what was on the bottom bun. It was home made onion chutney 😊 I can’t describe how good this was. Please see photos. My friend had steak which was cooked to perfection and my other friend had the fish and chips. Which once again was delicious. I highly recommend this little hidden gem.

Nice cozy Pub, with a warm inviting look & feel. Food is classic pub fare, and it is done well. Didn’t find much in the way of dairy-free dinner kiddie meals, but to be fair the chef went out of her way to accommodate. Service excellent and has nice outside booths with heated lamps for the chilly nights. Great spot and Pub.

Nice country pub. We went for a late afternoon Sunday Roast. 1 member of staff is exceptional (probably should be working in a 5 star hotel!) the others were fine. Decent roast, just didn't feel particularly fresh, but think it's the norm these days to get things that have been kept warm! Took our toddlers which wasn't a problem, crayons provided. Wasn't awful but probably wouldn't go back.

Naughty weekend without the kids. The Mrs loved coming. We popped into the city centre for a few beers and some food. She got a bit frisky and wanted to come in the pub again. We were teasing each other on the taxi back so quickly came in the pub toilets before we grabbed a drink and then came upstairs. Things got a bit heated in the bedroom and we couldn't decide if we were coming or going. Eventually agreed to both just come and ended up coming all night long. Great stay. Would love to come again.

Lovely little pub. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. The food was brilliant. Excellent quality, piping hot and really good size portions great value for money.. Will definitely be visiting again.

We had an amazing meal with friends. We had not been to the Jolly Farmer before this evening. The staff were all lovely. The service was great and the food excellent! We had gammon, Hunter’s chicken, lamb shank and Beef bourguignon. They were all delicious and the desserts didn’t disappoint either. We’ll be back! I can’t recommend highly enough!

The pub was lovely and the food was really good the staff was very friendly even managed to get me a table when they were very busy. The menu was really good having a variety of different dishes like battered halloumi and chips, grilled gammon and lasagna they were all priced very well the halloumi and chips being £9.79. Although when I went it was very busy the atmosphere of the pub was still really nice with all the staff being really welcoming and they had a very large selection of different wines, cocktails and nonalcoholic drinks to. The only downside is that there was a very long wait between getting food but it wasn’t to bad as you could order drinks while you waited
