Overall I really love the atmosphere of the pub and food was good. Despite some negative aspects of the visit I would recommend this pub. Service: We booked in for dinner. Whilst our waitress was very friendly the service was slow and inattentive. This was surprising as there weren’t many tables sat around us. Took way too long for drinks to arrive once ordered (was quicker to leave the table and go to the bar ourselves). £5 for a pint of diet coke also seems very steep for Surbiton… Sea bass with chorizo: Really enjoyed this. I normally don’t like chorizo but this paired really well with the fish. Fish and chips: Friends enjoyed this fish and chips. Banana sticky toffee pudding: Looks fantastic but sadly didn’t taste it. The banana chips were too hard and not a great take on the traditional pudding. A case where simplicity would have been better. The pudding itself was a bit hard and dry (looks like they were cooked individually but this means there was a crust all the way around which was disappointing)

Delicious, top notch vegan food and exceptionally attentive service - especially Jane and Anastasia who were serving us! Also super pet friendly - Anastasia brought water and fresh chicken for our dog plus he received some lovely cuddles from her too. 100% recommended xx

Food was next level ! I believe it to be a new menu and I hope the chefs keep up their enthusiasm the same way they’ve created this menu and delivered it. All the time it’s like this I’ll be coming back non stop ! Well done to the chefs and front of house.

Melissa was an exceptional waitress to our small group. Our first choice of cocktail drinks was unavailable and she was a master mixologist in coming up with an alternative that was liked by all. Excellent friendly service with a smile.

Absolutely stunning food. We had a fantastic night at Cento Uno with friends recently. A very busy restaurant but staff are so friendly and welcoming. You didn't feel rushed at all. I'd really recommend the Cabonara dish and the Salsicci. We didn't get pizza, but it looked incredible. Great price for everything and looking forward to going there again.

Came here for a big birthday with 14 of us and everything was superb. Staff are super friendly and service was outstanding. Food was very authentic and the Tiramisu was one of the best 👌 - highly recommend

I recently dined at a small Italian restaurant where the squid was the highlight—perfectly cooked and flavourful. The pasta was good, though not outstanding, and the pizza fell short of expectations. Service was friendly but a bit disorganised. Despite not being busy, the server asked us to repeat our order and brought the wrong drink. The restaurant is also quite small, with tables uncomfortably close together. While the food was enjoyable, the tight space and service hiccups didn’t fully justify the higher prices. Overall, a decent experience but room for improvement.

I had an absolutely delightful dining experience at Cento Uno last night. The food was exceptional—especially the meatballs and the sausage pasta, which were perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor. However, what truly made the night special was the warm and outstanding service from Giuseppe. His attention and friendliness created a wonderful family atmosphere that elevated the evening. I can’t recommend Cento Uno enough for both its fantastic cuisine and the genuine hospitality. A perfect spot for a memorable night out!

Good pub with a wide range of beers to choose from, craft and traditional. Also a good range of pub food. Always busy so would recommend booking, especially if you don't want to sit at an outside (heated) table.

We recently booked for a baby shower and had the sharing platters shared amongst our guests. The food was absolutely incredible and everyone was well catered for. The vegans and Gluten free attendees had their own boards which meant there was no cross contamination and they were extremely impressed with this. The staff were attentive and drinks came within good time. We were allowed to bring our own cake and staff provided us with plates which was lovely. Would not hesitate to book again for an event! Now looking forward to bringing our little one along for a nice brunch in the New Year!

Big restaurant, good for big groups Decoration and Staff are great. BUT food portions are SMALL. I ordered sage & avo stuffed kebab, as a main meal, it came with 3 balls 1 spoon humus and some lettuce. I usually don’t eat bread, but I had to eat the bread under it to feel a little full though we had 3 starters before the main meal. The ambience is amazing but this restaurant is not a good option if you are really hungry.

Food was a bit cold when it arrived but the girls were amazing and sorted it out and gave a complimentary cake too. Love this place ❤️ Fran was so lovely and welcoming too. Took lots of pics for my bookclub!

I visited Megan’s for lunch as a birthday treat, and it was such a delightful experience! Our server, Jash, was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring the food and drinks were delivered promptly. I appreciated that I didn’t feel rushed at any point, allowing me to truly enjoy the atmosphere and the meal. The food was fantastic. I loved the Christmas Kebab but the highlight for me was the half-baked cookie dough dessert—it was absolutely delicious and the perfect sweet ending to the meal. A special touch was the surprise birthday moment! When I made the booking, I mentioned it was my birthday, and the staff went the extra mile. They brought out something special and even sang “Happy Birthday” to me. It was unexpected and made my day extra memorable. Overall, I love coming to Megan’s because I always feel confident the space will be accessible, and the food is always amazing. It’s a place I’d highly recommend for anyone looking for great food, a warm atmosphere, and excellent service.

Quality of food was great, unfortunately our calamari wasn't as crispy as I would've liked, but the pasta and pizza was excellent. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because of the value for money, I felt it was slightly overpriced for what it was, but still a great meal.

Amazing food and a great atmosphere! Best Italian in Surbiton and even London. Would 100% recommend. You can tell that the food is made with love and care. I will be back again very soon!

Gorgeous hidden gem in Surbiton. I’ve gone past it so many times but for some reason I have never been drawn to it… but was I wrong! I’ve been missing out; I wish I’d tried it sooner. Really delicious food, lovely staff and really pleasant atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

Went on a quiet night after a long day at work and long night ahead. Revived the spirits with fantastic food and kind service. They packed the second part of my order carefully so I could enjoy it later. Very authentic food having been lucky enough to spend lots of good times with Italians and in Italy. The red wine selection was also good.

We had mussels and garlic mozzarella bread for starter, and as a main course we had a seafood pasta, and pasta with sausage and Gorgonzola sauce. Food was fantastic, really tasty and decent portions. But for our liking the service was too slow. We’ve been served drinks quite quick but we had to wait for about 15 minutes to order dinner. And we had to wait quite long for a starter and a main course. Saying that it was quite busy and we do understand that it takes longer, but we’d expect the order to be taken quicker.

I’m so annoyed at myself for not visiting Italian Taste sooner, especially only living 5 minutes away. The lovely staff were so welcoming and accommodating, the food and service were impeccable, the atmosphere was perfect and I can honestly say, I’ll be returning very soon. Thank you all at Italian Taste for the lovely evening, we will be back!

I visited today for my birthday with my parents and had a wonderful experience. Cleo was a lovely waitress and every single one of the staff members served us excellently. We ordered olives with garlic bread first. Then Dad ordered duck, mum ordered sea bass and I ordered the best prawn, calamari and mussels linguine EVER! 🤌🏾 Thank you so much to the staff for the kind and surprise birthday song & a candle with my lemon sorbet dessert. We all really enjoyed the food and would recommend this restaurant 💯

Cooked to perfection, it was juicy, tender, and seasoned just right, hitting all the taste notes effortlessly. Every bite melted in my mouth, encapsulating the essence of what a perfect steak should be. Lara’s service was impeccable – she was knowledgeable about the menu and her recommendations were spot on. She anticipated our needs without being intrusive, ensuring our glasses were never empty and that we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The atmosphere at Browns was cozy and inviting, enhancing the overall dining experience. But it was Lara’s exceptional service that truly set the evening apart. Her professionalism, coupled with a genuine smile, made us feel like valued guests. We had a very enjoyable office Christmas lunch at Brown's today. The location overlooking the river is perfect and the interior is modern and well laid out over two floors. I had smoked salmon, followed by roast turkey, with a lemon meringue tart for dessert. The food was delicious, and the service was fast, friendly and efficient. Recommended.

We had an incredible dining experience here! The steak was of exceptional quality, honestly better than some of the top restaurants in London. Our server Sophie C was fantastic—knowledgeable about the menu and wine pairings, which made our meal even more enjoyable. We’re already planning to come back for our Valentine’s dinner. Highly recommend!

I visited yesterday with my best friends for a long overdue catch up and we had a great time. We ordered Sangria as we were pretending we were abroad 😎. The food was great, the service was great and sitting by the river is just so good for your soul. Thank you for having us 🩷

Everything we ordered was delicious especially the baked Camembert and pizza. The service was great and you get a nice view of the river if you get a table on the balcony outside. They have a big car park and offer free parking for its customers. Highly recommended.
