Visited here for the first time on restaurant week. We had it eyeballed for a while, and we certainly weren't disappointed. Welcoming staff, friendly table service, and no long waits in between courses. The food was absolutely delicious, well presented, plenty of it and there were empty plates from us đ Enjoyed the whole experience, clean and tidy, lovely relaxed atmosphere This place deserves all 5 stars, and wouldn't hesitate to go back or recommend to others. Reasonably priced, for the quality of the dishes on offer đ đ

Wow! This place fully deserves all the awards it has received. We had a late Friday evening booking (9.30pm) so it was quieter than earlier in the evening but the whole experience was fantastic! Very friendly service, unbelievably delicious food, great selection of wines, beers and cocktails. The menu was really varied and it was hard not to order every starter, main and dessert. Very good value for what we enjoyed - if this restaurant was in London the prices would have been double! All this capped off by the small excellent touch that they have heating for stored coats so you literally leave with a warm glow! Highly, highly recommended and congratulations to the whole D&P team!

This is one of the best India restaurants I have ever tried. The menus diverse but not to large so they can concentrate on individual meals. The staff are very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The restaurant is traditional Indian. I would definitely recommend and will return soon I hope

Ive been here many times before, and each time I feel like its a new experience. From the service to the decor in the restaurant and then the food! Just wow! I have taken a few friends who haven't visited before and they have been amazed by the food and service. I will continue to recommend and visit, if you haven't been why not? Get along!

Jashn do a lot of dishes very well and they are definitely one of the more upmarket and authentic curry restaurants in the area. I found my fish makhani to be disappointing - the fish was okay but the sauce was just too sweet and not particularly memorable - but I wouldn't want to take off a star for one dish when the rest was generally very good and the rest of our party were all very happy with their food. We were a party of 6 on a busy Friday night and everything took a bit longer to arrive, but that was fine as we weren't in a hurry.

The service was amazing - we really enjoyed the complimentary mango lassi shots and a delicious chickpea ball. The waiting staff were extremely attentive and friendly. Only 1 star less for food as taste-wise there was something missing but couldn't put finger on what it was. We are fussy buggers though! Other than that, spot on and will be back. Thanks!

My daughter is reading law at Newcastle and being a second year is living in Jesmond, therefore I found a boutique hotel that would suit all my needs. Great bed, beautiful room and easy access to her house and the Dene. I wanted to relax and enjoy my time alone too whilst I was there. For runners there is no better hotel. Quiet, safe, stunning building and friendly staff. The bar and restaurant very ambient. I think I would never stay anywhere else again.

We had a high tea bridal shower here and the venue was so beautiful and perfect for the event. Shout out to the events team, especially Kayleigh, who helped plan the day. Communication from them was great and they were so helpful with dietary requirements and setup of the private room. The high tea itself had great variety and was delicious! The service staff were really attentive too. Would highly recommend as the price was decent and received a lot. Thank you!

The staff were mostly friendly. Only one member of staff was abrupt during breakfast service. The classic room (room 30) was clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. However, the bed wasn't the most comfortable and the toliet squeaked when you sat on it and I am only 56kg. Additionally, the fan coming from the kitchen was beneath our window and rather annoying as this was a consistant noise. The breakfast had a wide range of food options and was delicious! Overall, we would stay again, however would probably book the deluxe room. Free parking was a bonus with only a 10 minute walk to the metro station.

Had a lovely Christmas themed afternoon tea, a lovely way to spend an afternoon. The service was excellent and the afternoon tea is definitely the best I have had in Newcastle. It was lovely not to be rushed, which meant we could relax and enjoy the surroundings and such lovely food.

AMAZING BRUNCH!!â¤ď¸â¤ď¸ Just wanted to pop on a review about our delicious brunch on Sunday as it was that good it should be raved about! I saw on their instagram they had a platter(the Anglers board) with lots of seafood and fish and thought wow thatâs right up our street..BUT it had fish cakes and goujons so wonder if they would do gf? They replied straight away on instagram and said it was no problem at all! They could swap for other products or bring out on a separate plate. My partner chose for them to be on a separate plate as he was desperate to eat themâŚbut I would say you really donât need them the portions were so huge and they werenât missed! When we arrived they asked if we would like any sides. The chunky and I mean CHUNKY chips were gf so we went for them. I have to say they were soooo good! As a massive seafood lover I enjoyed it so much! The portions were huge and the lobster and prawns so fresh you could taste the sea! đ¤¤đ¤¤đ¤¤đ¤¤ I can not recommend them enough, the staff before and during our meal was so lovely and accommodating. I didnât feel an inconvenience at all and of course it was nice to wash it down with some delicious fizz! They donât normally do it on a Sunday but if you preorder they are happy to which I thought was very kind of them. Such amazing value for money, delicious and great with allergies!

Ate here for the first time in about 5 years Booked a table online but didnât need to as there was plenty of tables when we arrived. All staff were pleasant & helpful. Good menu & Specials board available. Food was piping hot & chips perfect. Also got 2 doggy ice creams afterwards as weâd left the dogs at home. Will definitely be back here.

Just had a great lunch at The Red Kite. One of the nicest roast beef sandwiches I've had for a long time. Really tasty gravy (and lots of it!) to dip your sandwich and potato skins in. Would thoroughly recommend!

We are so lucky to have this lovely, cosy, friendly, family run pub as our local. Since Nicola and her family have taken over the running of this little gem of a place its gone from strength to strength. The food is second to none, beautifully cooked, generous sized portions and reasonably priced. The staff are courteous, friendly, attentive but not intrusive and quite honestly so accommodating that nothing is too much trouble for them. I cannot praise them all enough and wish everyone all the best for the festive season. Cheers everyone! đť

Great place to visit. Friendly staff. Amazing food. Affordable prices. You wont be disappointed. Update. After great experience went for a meal again and I was dissapointed. Same meal "mixed grill" looks different and not same amount as before. Some types of meat were missing. Taste nice but I was still hungry. âšď¸

Went for my daughters birthday to Michelangelos. Quite busy for a weekday evening, locals, groups, families. One of the owners was present working the floor. Food was good, the decor and the prices have changed since last time we were there sort of 10 for a pizza 13 upwards for a mains. Serving staff attentive. All good.
