“Visited The Ship with friends and their 16 month old daughter on a Saturday lunchtime and couldn't have been made more welcome. The food was home cooked and delicious without being overly fancy and served on a roof slate! Service was impeccable and we would recommend to others and revisit without fail.”

Sunday lunch after a walk around Hinton Ampner. Nice nautical themed pub with onsite parking and plenty of tables. Food was good but would score 5 🌟 if the allergen information was a bit easier to find. Gluten free available and staff were very friendly!

Lovely little country pub on the road to Alresford. It's very easy to drive past but it's well worth stopping for a visit. We dropped in for lunch on a sunny spring afternoon and were very glad we did. The food was excellent (steak and ribs), the beers were well kept and the pub had a real sense of age and tranquility about it. We will be back

My wife and I took my parents here for Sunday lunch to celebrate Father’s Day. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. Great Sunday lunch menu and the food was delicious. I recommend the ‘nutless roast’ - their very tasty vegetarian option - and their roast potatoes are amazing. Also the chocolate brownie was a generous size and dripping with rich chocolate. Very good value too. This pub has a lovely, unpretentious homely feel. So glad to have it as our local!
