Amazing value and portions. The interior is crazy too. Was just driving by and parked because of how impressive it looked from the outside. They have an open kitchen where you can see your food being cooked over charcoals. The mutton curry was hot and rich. Service could be a bit better. Would definitely go back.

Since moving to London, we've tried a variety of South Asian restaurants (India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh). But I'm sorry, the most of them are terrible. None of them bothered to learn cooking and just opened a restaurant. Then we found this one. By far the best South Asian food available in London. They don't deal with amateur cooks; instead, they have actual chefs. The cuisine is simply mouth watering, flavorful. The interior is beautifully designed. Most crucial, a polite and friendly welcome. Our host was an elegant lady who was very courteous, caring, and cordial. Finally, there is the price. It's quite reasonable. In reality, it is rather reasonable when compared to other restaurants of this kind. Also, the plats have good portions. All in all, a fantastic experience and would say, itās a must visit.

The service was impeccable; the staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure our dining experience was enjoyable. The warm and inviting atmosphere added to the overall experience. I would highly recommend Watan to anyone looking for quality food and great service. Iām looking forward to visiting again soon!

If you're looking for a restaurant that offers both mouthwatering food and outstanding service, this place is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, it was clear that cleanliness and hygiene were top priorities. The spotless environment made the dining experience even more enjoyable. The starters were a highlight of the meal, featuring a delicious variety of grills that were perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection. The whole grill chicken was a showstopperāsucculent, flavorful, and absolutely satisfying. Every bite was a testament to the skill and care put into the preparation. The service was equally impressive. Our waiter, Abid, went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. He was attentive, friendly, and incredibly helpful, ensuring that everything was to our satisfaction. His professionalism and cheerful demeanor added a personal touch to the evening. Overall, this restaurant excels in both food quality and service. If you're a fan of grilled dishes and value excellent hospitality, this is the place to be. Highly recommended!

Ordered on uber eats. Ordered lamb curry and a chicken dish. There was so much oil in the lamb curry, it was worrying. But it was delicious nevertheless. The meat however, wasn't tender and the salad arrived flat.

The food was absolutely outstanding, my Pakistani mum whoās hard to impress loved every dish and all of the options available. This is now my favorite Pakistani restaurant in London, and itās definitely worth the journey. The service was excellent, with attentive waitstaff, and the food was also very affordable. Plus, the decor is incredibleāeasily on par with, if not better than, most Mayfair restaurants. This is definitely one to add to your must-visit list, and Iāll absolutely be returning!

The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was bursting with authentic flavors, from the rich and creamy butter chicken to the perfectly spiced biryani. The naan was fresh, soft, and just the right level of crispness. Their attention to detail and quality of ingredients truly stood out. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was perfect. They even took the time to explain some of the dishes, which added a personal touch. Whether youāre a fan of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, this place is a must-visit. I canāt wait to return and try more items from their extensive menu. Highly recommend!

We love wandering in the busy Tooting market and try to find something new to eat. There we are, at this Jamaican restaurant. We really enjoyed the fried ābig bananaā/plantain. Very very tasty. The lamb and the chicken were very tender and got a lot of seasoning in it.

Delicious food, lovely atmosphere and wonderful customer service. We ordered peppered shrimp, ackee and salt fish, oxtail with white rice, and steamed fish with rice and peas. Would definitely order these dishes again. 5 stars!! Highly recommendššššš Thank you to the staff at Dub Pan Tooting!! ā¤ļø

If you go to Tooting Market and do not eat here, you are really missing out. You must eat here for amazing food and really friendly service. The bar is a really chilled space to sit and eat. Hibiscus & Ginger mocktail had just the right ginger bite, really refreshing. Plantain so soft and flavourful. Coleslaw crunchy and fresh. The mac & cheese is freshly baked, so you get a crunchy top and it's so delicious. The creamy taste balances out curry heat so well. The chickpea curry was really good. The burrito/wrap of plantain, chickpea curry, rice & peas and plantain was a great mid week dinner. So filling and their midweek special is such great value at Ā£15 for the wrap and sides. I took leftovers home and it made a second meal. Super great value.

Nice, small and family friendly. Cocktails are nice and the Rodizio is nice comes out sizzling and frequent. Salad bar is small but sufficient

We had the premium steak picanha and the steak was amazing, cooked really really well. The salad bar could be slightly better with more options, but we're mainly here for the meat anyway. The owners were also lovely so we would definitely recommend

Smoke & Salt

The seven-course menu was enjoyable overall ā the food was well thought out and the presentation was excellent. Service was top-notch, with staff attentive and professional throughout. While the food was good, it didnāt entirely blow me away, and the price felt a bit on the higher side for what was offered. Still, itās worth a visit for the experience and attention to detail in both the atmosphere and service.

Local gem. Quality service and ingredients to make interesting dishes. I loved the summer Asian flavoured cod with hispi cabbage. New turnips dish is not my favourite. Wine pairing is excellent.

Both times I've been here have been wonderful experiences. The tasting menu is amazing; the chefs use really fresh ingredients, and each dish is beautifully crafted. The cocktails are fantastic, and the service is exceptional. I'd 100% recommend this place, especially for a special occasion.

Fabulous evening My sons 21stā¦.he wanted a small family affair with nice food and I found Smoke & Salt. We had the loveliest night. Started with drinks in Tooting Market and wandered along to the restaurant. Had the 7 course menu. Every course was excellent. Not one dish disappointed. We loved everything. We are a family that loves to try new tastes and dishes but this was excellent. Sometimes with taster menu it can be tiny but the food came in abundance and such excellent quality and amazing tastes. The staff were attentive and had great sense humour but didnāt impose. Just right. Could not recommend highly enough. Will be back when the new menu is out and would tell anyone in the Tooting area or visiting to give this restaurant a visit. If anyone has done menu at Six at Nicoā¦ā¦this is how it should be doneā¦.how it should taste, how it should look Well done Smoke & Salt you smashed it šāļøāļøāļøāļøāļøš„š¾

I had takeaway during their 50% off offer. The food was brilliant quality with the lamb chops and Haleem being outstanding. I did not like their chicken jalfrezi as I found that extremely oily. Overall, good service and would recommend.

We went to the 5 courses with wine tasting in December. Not only was it very reasonably priced (Ā£42 pp), the food was delicious and the wine pairings were exceptional. Rory who hosted the wine tasting was very knowledgeable, interesting and generous with his wine top-ups! We would love to come back and do this again, the restaurant has a really nice atmosphere, great for couples or groups. Thanks!

Sunday 19th January travelled from Yorkshire Family party - Had the full roast beef and Yorkshire Pudding Sunday lunch and sticky toffee pudding! The Sunday lunch was one of the best Iāve ever tasted! Tender beef all the trimmings and gravy were extremely tasty Would highly recommend this beautiful little diamond Ricks
Rating: 5 / 5
Fantastic cooking, wonderful atmosphere and attentive, friendly service. Ricks is a Tooting institution, and deservedly so- itās a local eatery that never disappoints. My partner and I have been going to Ricks regularly since we moved here four years ago and itās one of our absolute favourites. We've always enjoyed delicious, local produce, top notch cooking, a really warm welcome and lovely service from Rick and his team. Whether itās steak night on Tuesday, Sunday Roast at the weekend or the brilliant, 3 course prix fixe (incredible value) you can always guarantee that the meat and the veggies will be cooked to perfection. Lovely cocktails, delicious desserts, a great (reasonably priced) wine list and a spot on playlist (jazzy laid back vibes) combine to make this one of the best restaurants in Tooting. Highly recommended!

This spot offers a simple yet charming setting that's perfect for a casual meal. The steak sandwich, which I tried, was presented beautifully and was quite satisfying. The flavors were well-balanced, and it was definitely a good-looking dish. While the steak was a bit on the tough side, it didn't detract too much from the overall experience. The sandwich was still enjoyable, and at an affordable price, it's a solid option for those looking for a tasty bite without breaking the bank.Overall: A good place to grab a satisfying meal in a unique, different setting.
Rating: 5 / 5
This little gem is a hidden wonder in Tooting. This is not a traditional steak house as it's more like a stall but my goodness the meat is incredibly cooked! The steak is all Halal which is beautiful and they have lots of different cuts available. Having tried a few different things on the menu, I can confidently say that the steak sandwich is the best item on the menu by far. The mixed grill plate was okay, but the chicken tasted nicer than the meat for me but the steak sandwich was still superior in all aspects. The staff there were super friendly and looked after us well, though. The seating is not great given it's a small stall and when it's cold, it can be a bit of a chore to sit there especially as steak is best eaten when it's just coming off the grill otherwise it's not as enjoyable. All in all, I'd probably go back for another steak sandwich, if I'm in the area and looking for a snack!

We were seated in a room, and it was a very nice and traditional experience. The food was delicious and great value for money. The bread and lassi were exceptional ā truly out of this world. Go hungry, as the portions are generous and worth every bite. Highly recommended!
Rating: 5 / 5
Namak Mandi is of those rare restaurant that gives you the taste of food as if you are in the country where the food is from! My friends and I came twice during my recent trip to London. I would highly recommend their Chicken Karahi and their rice. I am extremely picky about rice as I also cook it with much details on my own. But their rice is another level, specifically with the carrot. Surely, as people have already written, it takes sometimes for your orders being served, but very normal as it is freshly cooked. Always order a big Nan, tell them to bake it more. And order a mango juice, it makes the experience much nicer, specifically if you make your orders spicy. And, yeah, their spicy level is serious. Their portions are very generous and prices are very reasonable. And, the restaurant vibe is not ideal! It is among those categories of restaurant where you go for the food, not the atmosphere! Just I wish this restaurant was more central in London.
Rating: 5 / 5
Quite a pleasant surprise, recommend by a taxy driver this place offer you a nice variety of Afgan food. The food was delicious, very well prepared, and presented. The staff is very friendly and polite, helping you with allergies or any other particular requests. The only negative parts for me are parking and CASH ONLY, but you can do bank transfer ...if you are ok with that. There is no parking on the street, but during the afternoons, you can find parking on the side streets. I definitely recommend it!
Rating: 5 / 5
Food 10/10. Chapali kebab and lamb karahi were spicy, hot and very tender. Service was speedy and they also gave complimentary kheer which was really hospitable of them. Prices are also very reasonable. They were quite pressuring with table time and bringing the bill without us asking. But i understand because it's a small restaurant and even at 9pm on a weekday they had people waiting to sit. So I don't hold it against them. Would definitely recommend and would come back :)

Travelled 1 hour to this Pakistani restaurant. It is located on main road with many other restaurants nearby. Parking is restricted on side roads and can take time looking for a spot. We entered the restaurant and it was busy with loud conversations from people eating. It was a open kitchen as we walked pass to be seated. Restaurant is big with 2 floors, clean with modern decor. Menu was given to us and we ordered our food. The food arrived in 20 minutes or so. It was hot and good portion. We asked for water jug 3 times as staff either forgot or didnt know what table. Food was tasty and affordable. Food 8/10 Service 6/10

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lahore Karahi, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was exceptional. The Lamp Windaru Curry was a standout, with its rich, flavorful sauce and tender lamb that just melted in your mouth. The balance of spices was perfect, making it a memorable dish. The Chicken in the Bone was equally impressive; the chicken was succulent, full of flavor, and perfectly cooked. It paired wonderfully with the naan! If you're a fan of traditional biryanis, the Lamb Biryani is a must-try. The rice was fragrant, the lamb was juicy and tender, and the whole dish was seasoned just right ā not too spicy, but packed with flavor. What truly made the experience complete was the impeccable service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. Highly recommend Lahore Karahi for anyone craving authentic, flavorful Pakistani cuisine. Itās a true gem!

We walked in around 6:30pm on a Friday, no lineup or wait but it got very busy around 7pm. We ordered lamb chops, chicken tikka ( boneless), and chicken charsi Karahi with plain naans. The lamb chops were by far the star of the show, excellent seasoning and cooked well, not too chewy. The chicken tikka was dry and seemed a bit old. Karahi was good and had some heat to it. Thank you to our excellent waiter and staff for managing my us promptly
