Absolutely delicious food. Highly recommend the charcoal grilled meats. You will not be disappointment. We had the grilled lamb main and chicken wings this time and the meat was tender and juicy. Will try the other ones next time. Also loved the smoked aubergine purée dip as well. Honestly all the food dishes were great and the portion size are good too. All the food we tried were great but sadly I forgot to take photos of them as was too focus on eating. We tried their house wines and they weren’t bad neither. This is now our new favourite local place to eat and will definitely add this place to our rotation!

I recently visited this Lebanese restaurant, and it was an absolute delight! The food is incredibly tasty and authentic, with fresh tabbouleh, perfectly crispy kebbeh, a juicy Mixed grill, Some spinach pies and creamy hummus Beiruti that had the perfect kick. The spicy potatoes were addictive, making the whole meal a fantastic experience. They also serve Cobra beer on draught, which was so refreshing and paired perfectly with the food 👍 The service was equally impressive. Attentive and friendly, with the owner going out of his way to make us feel welcome. If you’re looking for delicious Lebanese cuisine with a warm, inviting atmosphere, this is the place to be!

Incredible! From the friendly staff, cool vibe, to plate after plate of delicious food, you’ll want to come back to Mimo’s again and again. The portions are generous and we always seem to have leftovers as everything on the menu looks amazing. They are happy to pack up your unfinished meals and even bring a little baklava to the table before the cheque. The toilets are immaculate and there is a cool little dining area at the back with a bar that would be perfect for a birthday or party. Just a short walk from bustling Tooting Broadway. I honestly cannot recommend this place enough!

Malabaarii Restaurant Tooting

Unit 74, Broadway Market, 29 Tooting High St, London SW17 0RJ, UK | Indian Restaurant
P: 07424 724134

Rating: 4.9 (249) Price Level:

One of the best eateries in London for authentic non-veg South Indian food!! We ordered the fish and mutton banana leaf meals - both were extremely well cooked, flavoursome and tasted like home. It came with the main protein, alongside other lovely veggie sides and a small dessert (Payasam). The only thing is their service can be very slow (we went on a Friday night) but that’s very understandable as it was busy and they cook from a small kitchen so I recommend going early!

Amazing place! The food was delicious and the service was beyond what I expected. You can see the food being made before your eyes and the ambiance is really great seeing everyone gathered for all types of food. The person that helped us was so kind as to even make a mango lassi, which isn’t even on the menu, simply because we asked and wanted one. Must recommend this place!

Authentic keralan experience. If you are in the area, you should definitely eat here. The food and service was outstanding, fresh and tasty. A treat for the eye and mouth. Tried the mixed curry with porota. Gives the opportunity To try different curries. All had a different taste and was very nice. Also had the seafood sadhya. An amazing culinary experience eating on a banana leaf with a range of flavours. The malabari chicken was also very tasty.

Delicious good, great value. We had the 2 person deal for £35 (roti porotta mixed curry + sadhya, drinks & sides) They replaced our fish with chicken in sadhya cause they were out. The curries were tasty and unique, the sadhya was crispy and the porotta was fresh & crispy. Definetly recommend!

Visited this place on a Saturday night and it was busy. The staff were really friendly and the food was awesome, especially the grilled chicken wings. Only one thing that let it down for me, ordered the special Charsi Lamb Karahi (half KG) and it was a small portion, more like 250g. However everything else was A+

I had the seafood platter and on the first occasion it was really great. Large seabass and large piece of octopus tentacles was grilled over charcoal and it also comes with prawns and fried squid rings plus bread and dips. It was great value for money for 2 people. However the second time the experience was soso. The portion sizes got smaller and no dips with the bread. Because of the inconsistency I can’t give 5 stars however it’s still very nice.

I had the pleasure of eating here this evening and will certainly be coming back. I had the chicken skewer, and it was delicious - just the right amount of charcoal grilling to flavour the meat but leave it succulent. The enormous portion as well as the accompanying bread, rice and salad meant I couldn’t finish it all - incredible value for what you get. The homemade dips I had were also delicious, and the waitress who looked after me was friendly and charming. Would thoroughly recommend

Where do I start. This is the best authentic Bangladeshi restaurant I have ever visited. I was recommended by my brother and visiting my hometown Tooting having moved away many years ago. In my absence Tooting has become a culinary hotspot with an explosion of choices across the high street and surrounding areas. Therefore to standout in current competition takes some doing. Step forward Dhoompan. A subtle look from outdoors and minimalistic design, as I stepped in immediately I was overwhelmed. Being a British Bangladeshi and seeing the intricate little accessories from our culture, the brilliant interior design it sets the tone of a very modern culturally rich setting. I was with my family, wife, mum, kids and brother so it was already a special day. All of the food was recommended by Abu. Every starter was cooked brilliantly, crisp, perfect blend of taste from the fried crispy aubergine, the smoked chicken wings, wheat shell egg chickpea and coriander mixed streetfood, Gunpowder chicken and to finish of the starters some sweet fried crackers - we got off to a blinding start. I felt at home, each dish was deliciously enjoyed by everyone. The main dish took me right home a whole cooked roast chicken with masala marinated all over the chicken and a nice big plate of pilau (we Bengali’s love our rice). Big enough to serve the 6 of us. Abu continued to bring out more dishes, including one he was trialling Daal Bora, again perfectly made, not to heavy, taste blended just right. Also he brought out a plate of Beef Brisket Wraps is out this world in a thick naan, with pulled succulent beef and accompanying pickles, slaw and chillies, felt like eating a much more filling taco. We also had a plate of accompanying pickles, salad and chillies which was perfect. Finally not to be forgotten the freshly squeezed Shokto Bhokto drinks and the traditional Aamm Bhaat (Mango, Cream and Rice) was the icing on the cake and just tasted amazing. Notable mentions you can play Carrom Board as well! Also the Bangla Tea is amazing for someone like me who doesn’t usually drink Tea. So my review all around 5/5 one of the best experiences, insight into our culture through British born Bengali eyes, having dishes explained to my children and also making me feel right at home. Anyone looking for authentic quality tasting food and something different in the minefield of Tooting. This is your place.

The food here is truly amazing and high-quality. The fritters and fries stood out as exceptionally unique compared to other South Asian restaurants in Tooting. While the portion sizes may be slightly smaller for the price, the taste more than makes up for it. I would definitely return again!

We were also given a free starter and a free tea with our meal which was so kind and unexpected! I would 100% recommend this place to anyone and booking with first table as it gets you 50% off! Friendly tasty casual restaurant serving dishes from Mauritius. Sounds interesting but we were not blown away by the food. Overall it was tasty but not spectacular. The starters we tried, the crispy calamari and the spring roll were both tasty and different than what you would expect. The mains were ok, we liked the flavours of the fish curry but the fish was dry and overcooked. The other dish an upside down bowl with stir fried mushrooms vegetables, chicken and rice was a bit like something you will make at home with all the leftovers in the fridge, but it was tasty. Nice location in the market and the service was quick and friendly. The prices are very reasonable, this is a place for a cheap meal and it does the job perfectly.

Took my Mauritian friend here to celebrate his birthday, he travelled in from Bromley. The food was undeniably good but the fish curry made with tuna was a bit on the sweeter side he said. My beef curry was flavoursome, he agreed and said it tasted authentic. The roti however were very good, the filling was spicy! I would order these again in a heartbeat. The crab somosas didn't do it for me, it lacked the fresh crab flavour. The chicken spring rolls were ok. The fish balls tasted fresh and the broth was soothing on a cold evening. The waiters were great, service with a smile. Nelda who worked behind the bar surprised my friend with a sambuca and sparkler which was a nice touch. Thank you team, we had a great experience!

Overall a great little place. The food was tasty. We ordered the prawns on toast and they were delicious and piping hot off the grill. We also ordered the surf and turf platter which again was super tasty. My only two gripes are that the prawns are not deveined and that the next course (the surf and turf platter) was served mid way through the first course so it was cold by the time we go round to it. That aside I highly recommend this place!! I will definitely be going back and will probably look to book a bigger birthday party there.

I was starving when I came upon this modest Korean restaurant right next to Tooting Broadway tube station. The staff are friendly and helpful and I loved their glass noodles (Japchae) so much, I ended up ordering 2 portions (which I now regret because, it left me stuffed!!). I opted for the one with pork belly, but, they do all meat or vegetarian. If you like spice, then please do add for their spicy sauce! They have authentic Korean non-alcoholic drinks which are really popular. I have been back since and do explore more authentic options rather than katsu curry!!

The seven-course menu was enjoyable overall – the food was well thought out and the presentation was excellent. Service was top-notch, with staff attentive and professional throughout. While the food was good, it didn’t entirely blow me away, and the price felt a bit on the higher side for what was offered. Still, it’s worth a visit for the experience and attention to detail in both the atmosphere and service.

Fabulous evening My sons 21st….he wanted a small family affair with nice food and I found Smoke & Salt. We had the loveliest night. Started with drinks in Tooting Market and wandered along to the restaurant. Had the 7 course menu. Every course was excellent. Not one dish disappointed. We loved everything. We are a family that loves to try new tastes and dishes but this was excellent. Sometimes with taster menu it can be tiny but the food came in abundance and such excellent quality and amazing tastes. The staff were attentive and had great sense humour but didn’t impose. Just right. Could not recommend highly enough. Will be back when the new menu is out and would tell anyone in the Tooting area or visiting to give this restaurant a visit. If anyone has done menu at Six at Nico……this is how it should be done….how it should taste, how it should look Well done Smoke & Salt you smashed it 😁⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🥂🍾

This is now my favorite Pakistani restaurant in London, and it’s definitely worth the journey. The service was excellent, with attentive waitstaff, and the food was also very affordable. Plus, the decor is incredible—easily on par with, if not better than, most Mayfair restaurants. This is definitely one to add to your must-visit list, and I’ll absolutely be returning!

So I decided to visit Dawat Restaurant * Surprisingly the atmosphere was perfect to get my self comfortable and to spend some quality time. * Staff was very polite, helping and suggested a lot to decide our meal. * Arslan the Manager was mainly available to settle us in and suggested some of the delicious dishes. * Naveed from the kitchen staff served us crispy and fresh Parathas throughout the main course.
