Ordered a roast on Deliveroo! Was such an Amazing roast dinner, it was restaurant quality as a delivery which is unheard of! Almost too much food and all great quality! Would strongly recommend! Will be visiting in person next time!
I really enjoyed my visit here last week- lots of people enjoying the amazing weather, watching a steaming of the Olympics, drinking together. I came here with friends and we had a lovely evening. The food was excellent, we all ordered different dishes but they were all really yummy and presented nicely. The food that the Rose offer is quite varied and caters to different diets. It’s bit more on the expensive side of things but not too bad - and the lovely energy of the place is worth it! The service wasn’t terrible but perhaps a bit disorganised - it was busy so that makes sense. It was a great pub to hang out in and relax.
We came here for a drink but ended up staying to try the food. We had a Thai chicken starter and pizza’s. Both pizza’s were good and the crust / base was cooked well. Service was a bit slow but it was reasonably busy. Would recommend coming here to try the pizza.
Beautiful pub in New Cross, and the largest I've been to in the area. As we arrived there was a quiz on (Monday night). Very large bar area so lots of different drinks to choose from. I had an Amstel but my friends had a beer called Sunshine, which was a bit too meadowy for my taste, but if you like an IPA it would be up your street. A very large garden area out the back which had heaters and even little booths you could sit in! Seems like a really good place to socialise
