This was one of the most amazing dining experiences I’ve ever had in London. The food was absolutely divine. I ordered the saltish cod - it was exactly the kind of fish that you would get in Portugal and the portions were absolutely massive. Everything was cooked to perfection and the entire table sat in silence while they ate because it was so good. The Vino Verde we had was also delicious and a reasonable price. I highly recommend this restaurant to anybody in the area. For everyone else get on a bus, train, boat or plane visit this place as soon as possible. Cannot possibly rate it any higher.

Pleasantly surprised. This place is amazing. Just the way the food is presented is so different from any other restaurant I’ve been to. I’m definitely coming back; and you should too. The staff are so nice and not overpowering at all. The portions are large as well, half of my friends took home a doggie back. Don’t get me started on the choices!!

This might be our 5th year running coming to Mar and Terra. It’s a beautiful family owned Portuguese spot. The food is delicious with perfect portions for a hungry tummy. The staff are friendly, have great energy, and really just make you feel at home. My biggest problem was selecting a meal. Everything on the menu looked great so I had to get expert advice from the waitress… and when I tell you it did not disappoint!

Had dinner here with a large group - service & food were absolutely fantastic. Portion sizes were large and very filling, definitely no skimping on food in this kitchen - I'd advise to come hungry! Given the current economic climate and issues with cost of living, the food is incredibly affordable for what you get - not seen a surf and turf with lobster for £30 anywhere else in London. Will definitely be back

Wanted to try Uzbek food as my grandad loves to watch videos on their cuisine, and was left very happy. The meat was fall off the bone juicy the stir fried laghman was delicious, pulovEf nptwas super yummy too with succulent meat on top. Would most definitely recommend to anyone who has yet to try or just wants a nice dinner. Service was great too, with good recommendations and seemed glad to have us there.

Amazing home cooked and flavourful food. Clearly authentic and I have seen customers from Uzbekistan each time I visited. Nice and short menu so they can focus on perfecting their dishes. Great value for money and staff is friendly. A place you’d wanna come back to.

Uzbek Traditional Food in London Visited an Uzbek restaurant in London and loved the authentic vibe. The beshbarmak was exceptional—tender meat, silky pasta, and a flavorful broth. Perfectly balanced spices and warm hospitality made it a memorable experience. Highly recommend for a taste of Uzbekistan!

I visited the other day with my friends and the food did not disappoint!! My favourite was definitely the fried Lagman and it’s safe to say I will 100% be a regular for that dish! The fresh pineapple juice was so sweet and so yum! Will definitely be coming back again!

This is a great place. We went on a friday evening and the restaurant was empty ( very surprising). The place and furniture was also cosy and comfortable. It was also warm inside( we went on a winter night) . The service was great and the waiter paid attention to requests, clarifying any hiccups. She also updated us on progress of our food. The food itself was good. I got the ribs with coleslaw and topped with some fries. Very delicious. I also had a steak salad. Steak was too good but greens were a bit dry. I had a safe sex mocktail which tasted amazingggg. It was made from fresh fruits as I could taste the richness in the orange flavour. Very lovely place and affordable too. Would recommend to visit if in Leyton area

Best kubeida kebab and truly the bestest kabuli pulao i ever had in london . Akbar bhai the owner prepare every meal by himself, we always have their kubeida kebab and kabuli pulao .. food 10/10.

Really nice for Qabili Pulau Rice and the meat on it really tender and quite a lot for two people in regular size and the mantu also really nice, we ordered Qabili Pulau rice for take away at home..

First try of Afghan food. Pallow is great. Regular portion can feed 2 persons. Chicken shish is well seasoned and great just that I’ve eaten more tender ones. The owner is just one person but he is very friendly and attentive. Great value and will return.

An extra special hidden gem this !! On the busy Leyton high street is a small tasteful oasis in the form of Orient Lounge Cocktail Bar. Not obvious as it’s hidden behind/through Orient Lounge Italian Cuisine. See my video for details. Cocktails are fairly placed at £10 and are made with quality ingredients- no rip off here. Definitely worth popping in for a glass of fizz or indeed a cocktail. (Nice toilets too)

This was my first time in Orient Lounge and it was absolutely lovely! The atmosphere is great, the service was superb and the food delicious. Would definitely return and would highly recommend to anyone that wants a great spot for lunch, dinner or drinks!

Excellent food, real Italian taste, fast service, very polite people and also you have to try some of their coctails… I don’t want to forget, their pizza is amazing too. I recommend this place and I’ll be back very soon! Thanks guys!

Lovely new local place. Food was very good, fresh and tasty. Service was amazing, especially from our server Ash, who seems like a lovely guy. I came with a big table everything was served quickly with no issues. I personally had the burrata pizza which was so good, the pizza is thin and crispy and they are not stingy with toppings or with anything else for that matter!

Really enjoyed our Italian meal there! We had a nice variety of dishes to try 😍 Highlights were the bruschettas, lemon sorbet, chocolate profiteroles and of course, the pizza was great! The portion sizes were generous. The decor is great too!

Tonight, we had a fantastic dinner at Tanya Restaurant. It was our first time there, and we would definitely come back. Everything was perfect. We had delicious food 🥩 paired with great Georgian wine 🍷 for a reasonable price. The portions were generous. The service was great. We were the first customers at the time we went there, and the host asked where we were from. When we said that we are from Ukraine, he changed the playlist for Ukrainian music 🎶. We really appreciate it. Comfortable seating, beautiful interior, lovely music and attentive service contributed to a fabulous atmosphere. It was a very enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this place!

I recently visited Tanya Restaurant, conveniently located near Pure Gym in Leytonstone, and had an incredible dining experience. I decided to try the rump steak, which was exceptionally tender and flavorful—honestly, one of the best I’ve ever had! The food overall was amazing, and the atmosphere was so relaxing, complemented by great music that added to the vibe. A special shoutout to Alexandre, who provided excellent customer service and made the experience even more enjoyable. If you’re in Leytonstone and looking for a fantastic place to eat, I highly recommend Tanya Restaurant. It’s a must-visit for delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere!

Frozen Blueberry £23 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So having asked you guys to recommend a lounge to review I decided to go visit Leo’s Bar and Grill. This new lounge is located right next to Leytonstone station and just 2 doors away from E11 Lounge. Well it’s not a lounge more of an Italian cafe but they have a shisha lounge at the back which is small and cosy. As we walked in we mentioned we are here for shisha so we were taken to the back where the lounge is and weee seated. We had a member of staff come to take our order but then I requested the shisha and drinks menu so we can see what’s on offer. They are still on a soft launch phase where a full menu hasn’t been made but checking out what’s on offer and with the communication issues with our waiter we let him choose the flavour. Out came the shisha after 10 minutes with 4 lit coals and looking at the bill we were smoking frozen blueberry. We were smoking a Wenge Shisha from @oasistobacco wood series, a solid performer with plenty of clouds. Smoke lasted around 50 minutes before dying down, it began quite strong but died down quickly which was my only gripe. The lounge itself is quite small but very nice and cosy. The decor is on par with the new lounges popping up recently. Service was brilliant we had around 6 coal changes in an hour without asking once which was good. Vibe was nice and chilled with a mixture of customers either here to eat, smoke or drink. Prices were fair starting from £20-23 max, you do get a premium shisha and brilliant service to match. Parking free on residential roads after 2pm and in the nearby car park after 5pm. Cash and cards both accepted.

Honestly I don't want to gush but we have just eaten here, to try it out, and my goodness we ordered all the starters just to get a taste for the place. The flavours were UNREAL, the chef is a genius. this is some of the nicest food we've ever eaten. And it's a lovely place to sit and relax, beautiful decor, lovely service. Can't speak highly enough!

This place is so underestimated! An absolute gem of Leytonstone. From the outside, you might just walk past but once you’re inside you are instantly impressed with wonderful friendly service, outstanding food and delicious wine. The chef here is brilliant! Every single dish we had was absolutely delicious. Our party of four shared the prawn and saffron risotto, Mediterranean sea bass, sticky steak salad and prawn in white wine sauce and we were absolutely bowled over by how delicious they were! Highly recommended

The food is incredible and service is always in anticipation being unobtrusive. The quality of food product speaks volumes! I had a home made baklava and went for an ice-cream to pair , the ice cream was indeed a creamy richly textured and balanced on the palate. The chefs team is great for consistent food and quality. My humble prayer to team to keep the same quality and consistency, you all will do wonders in life in sustainability local business. Great selection of food , wines and beers. I wish all the best to the team and owners, keep up the great work. Harris , Xander and Ellie was great to offer service and was very hospitable for the dessert to pair.

Perfectly perfect Roast! One of best finds for roast in this area. Great food experience and is served hot! For the customer service, she was very attentive and follow ups what else you need at the table - great service! Dining in was very comfortable, the ambiance is very cosy and relaxing.

Genuinely a lovely experience. Grabbed a few drinks here and tried the beef croquette. Tasted amazing. Drinks were lovely. Had a few glasses of vino Only issue is that the price is a little on the steep side. I do appreciate its London but I’ve definitely had cheaper and better food with similar and drink in Zone 1

Very good place for sunday roast... Having booked in advance for sunday roast, we were one of the first to arrived, the staff was very helpful and ask straight away if we wanted something to start with in the meantime when we sat. I realised that the tables where a bit greasy but as it gave me that pub vibe, soo i was not too much annoyed although there was as well a beer smell in the air that was gone when the first people where served. We started to get hungry just by the smell. We order two Bloody Marys one with mezcal and another with vodka that were very good, it suprised me since the main drink was beer. We ended up ordering just sunday roast and in the end was very tasty and filled us up well, the lamb was beautifully marinated and the sides of the dish were very tasty but the pork was a bit dry although i liked its crispy skin. As a paring with the food we got 2 glasses of chianti that were very good as recomended for the roast. We ended up ordering 2 beers, as we felt a bit rushed due to 30min heads up before the end of our booking. Gave us the bill without saying anything but the place didnt feel soo full...

This place is absolutely amazing. The food was so full of flavour it tasted really good and was fresh. I would especially recommend the lamb chops and chicken tikka. The service was great too.

Absolutely delicious family run local business I would highly recommend. Went with a group of 9 great food, decor and service. The masala fish and chupli kebabs very nice and so was the lamb a chicken curry's. All the deserts were fantastic. I will be revisiting soon.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at tazgi, and I must say, the experience was absolutely outstanding!. The Chapli Kebab was nothing short of phenomenal, perfectly seasoned, tender, and packed with flavor. Every bite was a delightful explosion of taste. The Dynamite Chicken was equally impressive crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the sauce added the perfect kick without overwhelming the flavors. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable meal.

Tazgi Restaurant in Leytonstone is amazing! We tried the mixed platter, and it was so good—everything was fresh, tasty, and full of flavor. The highlight for me was their special fried fish. It was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and seasoned perfectly. The staff were super friendly and made sure we were looked after. Definitely a place I’d recommend to anyone who loves good food!
