A fantastic experience. Really very enjoyable. We booked late notice for a table of 2 on a Monday evening for my birthday. As we hoped for it was quiet but a nice warm environment. As the menus were brought over we were also brought two glasses of complimentary champagne. I had a couple of pints of Guinness and a baileys on ice to finish whilst my partner had two espresso martinis. For food I had the scotch egg to start and fillet steak for main, whilst my partner had focaccia to start and chicken breast with greens for main. We shared the chocolate pot for dessert. All the food was of a super super high quality. The scotch egg was lovely whilst my steak was one of the best I’ve had. Everything was cooked perfectly. We took our time so didn’t notice the service being slow or fast. I’ve seen a few negative reviews of service at peak times, so my advice would be to book on a Monday/Tuesday and enjoy the quiet evening with awesome service. We paid £145 including service charge and were happy to tip more to our waitress. We felt we’d had good value experience for the price and would absolutely return.
Had an excellent lunch. It was calm, but that's what we wanted. Delicious Guinness, lovely wine, superb food. The turkey was so good, and the chocolate hot pot was PROPER indulgent to finish. Would heartily recommend.
Gorgeous pub and restaurant. The food was great and the staff were attentive and knowledgeable. The scotch egg was delicious! The entitled behaviour of some of the other diners was a little distracting - just book a table guys! I guess that is Clapham for you though. Otherwise a great evening.
Utterly delicious food, really special stuff. Menu changes on a daily basis so you’ll never be disappointed. Lovely atmosphere and fantastic service - Louis was extremely friendly, charming and helpful! We come here each year for our birthday and will continue the tradition - they kindly treated us to a glass of bubbly each, so thank you and see you soon!
