Lovely hidden pub round the corner from the underground. Very oldie and atmospheric. Service was ok wouldn't say very attentive as we had to get our own menus for desert but the food was delicious! Fish and chips with a side of tarta sause and curry sause made it. My partner had the burger and was also divine. The toilets desperately need more attention as they were pretty grim but all in all was a nice evening.

Service was good. We had the special 3 course traditional Christmas lunch with main being turkey, pigs in blankets, leg ham, yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, brussels sprouts, carrots and parsnips. It was a huge meal. Would have preferred to pay less and have less of the main meal as we had to take half of each main meal home in a takeaway box, but it shows how generous the servings were. Also highly recommend ordering a lemon, lime and bitters drink. 🥤

This restaurant is amazing. There’s a nice quiet atmosphere, the service is excellent and the food is delicious! I’m so glad I found this spot - I’ll be back soon!

One of the best meals my family has ever had in London!!! We came for my sisters 21st tonight and it was that great that I had to review it the second I got home! We ordered every single dish on the menu and it was all incredible - genuinely not one thing we didn’t like. It’s hard to pick a favourite but the steak, millionaire potatoes, Korean cauliflower bites, schnitzel were divine!!! We are a big family and everything came out in good time, hot and with amazing service - the service absolutely made the night, our waiter and the owner were so lovely!!! We have been to a lot of restaurants in London including high end and this has been one of our absolute favourites - at a far more affordable price than central London. We will be returning! An adventurously delicious menu. We had the Korean Fried Chicken, Millionaire Potatoes, Chimmichuri Sirloin and the Filo Pastry. The staff is lovely, very attentive, and observant. A typically cosmopolitan North London ambience. This is a culinary landmark with a lot of potential.

After searching high and low for a Sunday roast, my friends and I stumbled upon this gem of a pub – and we are so glad we did! We were lucky to be served by Summer, who was absolutely amazing from start to finish. She was warm, genuine, and incredibly attentive, making us feel right at home. Her professionalism and friendly demeanor really stood out and added so much to our experience. The roast itself was perfect, and we left the restaurant feeling completely satisfied – everything just hit the spot. We’ll definitely be back, thanks to Summer and the fantastic food!

A nice spacious pub situated opposite the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead. They had 4 cask beers so I opted for a Youngs original at £5.65, quite reasonable for the area. They also had a selection of around 20 whiskies. They have a nice, quite large, heated garden area. They offer food, mainly typical pub grub but with some items that are different e.g. stuffed sardine starter at £8.50 and a roated squash gnocchi main at £16. They had a good choice of wines with prices for a bottle starting at £24.50. I was here at midday on a Tuesday so it was rather quiet. The service was friendly. In summary a nice pub, worth a visit if you are in the area.

Had a really tasty dinner here. The miso aubergine thing was delicious, and the ox cheek mac and cheese side was good too. We also got a steak which arrived medium-well, despite us asking for it rare, but it still tasted good so we didn't mind so much. The chips that came with it were also really good, and there's a great selection of beers and other drinks.

I had the most wonderful experience spending Christmas dinner with my family. The atmosphere was cozy and festive, with warm lighting and cheerful decorations that immediately put us in the holiday spirit. The pub staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we felt right at home. The food was absolutely delicious. Roast meats, perfectly cooked vegetables, and decadent desserts that felt like a true holiday feast. It was the perfect place to relax, enjoy great food, and create lasting memories with my loved ones. Highly recommend this spot!

This can be easily my new favourite pub. We made reservations on a Friday night after a show in the nearby theatre. What a wonderful experience. Initially we went there for a quick bite but the choises in the menu were so good that it quickly transformed in a 3 course meal evening! I pictures: blue cheese, pear salad with pecans, chateaubriand for two and banoffee pie. If you're in the area this place is a must. If you look for a more "casual" dining, they so offer burgers and other more pub-like dishes in the restaurant too. I'll definitely return!

Perfect pub located near the Heath. Service is lovely, vibe is lively, and the food is great (and not a copycat of every other London pub!). Best of all? They allow well-behaved dogs indoors!!!

The lovely hostess Keya went above and beyond to find us a lovely table at short notice. Our waitress Victoria was so lovely and smiley and very attentive. The food is top notch and the atmosphere and music are really good, especially on a Saturday night 🌙 👌 🙌

The response we received was both swift and thoughtful, resulting in an invitation to return for a meal. This time, I had the pleasure of taking my sister and our mother for her very first steak dining experience—and what an experience it was! From the moment we arrived, the front-of-house team welcomed us warmly. The service throughout the evening was nothing short of outstanding. Special recognition goes to Chad, the restaurant manager, whose attention to detail and genuine care for our comfort made all the difference. He checked in regularly to ensure we were enjoying our evening, always with a professional yet warm demeanor that set the tone for an exceptional meal. We started with a selection of starters, including the scallops, which were a true highlight. The quality, taste, and presentation were impeccable, leaving my mother amazed. The Winter Rum cocktail was another standout—rich, warming, and perfectly balanced. When it came to the mains, each of us chose a different steak, and they did not disappoint. My mother, who was initially hesitant, was absolutely thrilled. She declared it the best steak she had ever eaten, a sentiment that truly made our evening special. Seeing her joy brought immense satisfaction to us as a family. Daniella, another manager, was equally delightful. Her bubbly personality and ability to engage in thoughtful conversation added a personal touch to the experience. It’s clear that Gaucho is fortunate to have such dedicated individuals on their team. Overall, the combination of exceptional service, exquisite food, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere created a dining experience we won’t soon forget. Chad and his team went above and beyond, turning what began as a disappointing experience into one of our most memorable evenings. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. If you’re planning a trip to Gaucho Hampstead, I highly recommend the scallops / steaks and the Winter Rum—you won’t regret it!

Having tried every single item of the 30 year special menu of Gaucho at Hampstead and the Piccadilly branches over 48hrs I wanted to share a particular review of the Hampstead location. The food was delicious 🤤, but what made the experience enjoyable was the staff. We had an excellent waitress who simply brilliant and put up with our large party. Funny and attentive, extremely knowledgeable too. The food was delicious as expected and their steaks brilliant. Hampstead in particular was great with the space in the restaurant and even the welcoming doggy bowls outside.

Food was excellent as usual. The staff service so polite friendly and accommodating. Really clean and looked after including the toilets. Coffee is delicious and a proper cup full. Great value for money

I recently visited Oak and Poppy in Hampstead, and while the experience was a bit mixed, there were some definite highlights! The Mac and Cheese bites were absolutely delightful—crispy on the outside, creamy and cheesy on the inside, and the duck bao buns were perfectly tender and flavorful. These dishes alone made the visit worthwhile. However, the chips were undercooked, which was a bit disappointing, and the service didn’t quite meet expectations. The staff seemed a little inattentive, and it took longer than expected to get our orders sorted. That said, we did appreciate accommodating us whilst we had no reservation and the food that hit the mark really stood out. Overall, it’s a lovely spot with a lot of potential. I’d go back for those Mac and Cheese bites and bao buns, but I hope they can refine the service and perfect those chips in the future!

Dropped on here on a whim as we were walking past in search of somewhere for breakfast. Called in because it looked nice and we were not disappointed!! I had the mushrooms on toast and it was incredible! All our food was fantastic and wouldn’t hesitate to come back if we are ever in the backbite again.

Visited this place for a business meeting. First of all, its a nice cozy elegant restaurant. Waiters are doing their job with the proper care so we have felt well taken care of. We checked most if the appetizers. Fish tacos, quesadillas, bao buns and cauliflower. In all cases they taste was astonishingly satisfying. For main dishes I had tried asian style Fish which was really great. And at the end remever to try churros. I think they were the Best I have ever eaten. I highly reccomend this place.

My first time visiting this cozy pub located close to Golders Hill Park and I am totally impressed by the homely decorations. It wasn’t busy when I first arrived so our table was being attended to pretty quickly, which we told the server we need a few more minutes to decide on the drinks. However when we were about to order it took a while before I was about to catch the attention of a server, hence I knocked off a few stars for that. Other than that brilliant food, my friends all ordered the pan-fried sea-bass which they said are delicious while I’ve the signature Dirty Burger which was served with a side of beef dripping sauce, the burger is flavourful and I really enjoy the sauce. The Long Bramble mocktail is a delightful drink with Everleaf Forest mixed with raspberry and rose soda, definitely a refreshing drink to have alongside the burger. I were too full to have any dessert afterwards but I would certainly re-visit to try out some of their tempting desserts!

The food and the atmosphere and the notes from the booking being adhered to were excellent. Really enjoyed the starters and the main, had no room for dessert sadly. The only improvement I would add is have the waiting staff check the tables before sitting guests. Little things like making sure the candle is lit and if they need a napkin, saves the guests asking for them. Otherwise the staff in the restaurant were lovely and the bar staff were great all round. Had a lovely evening and can’t wait to come back. Thank you

It was a pretty good experience overall, with good tastes and a very soft and warm ambience. Maybe a little pricey but it’s pretty justified in the end. It was Sunday, we went for the shared roast experience and it was a pretty solid choice, the only problem is that the cauliflower cheese was missing and never arrived to our table. Just a little stain on what was a very good experience overall, as already mentioned.

Great food, and outstanding service from Dorothy. She was amazing throughout service and really went above and beyond for our group. We've been coming here for Christmas dinner 3 years in a row now and this year is definitely one to remember!

The food was brilliant. Service was great. The price was very reasonable. The toilets are very beautiful. We had no problem at all, we will definitely recommend. We will come back again.

A lovely lunch with friends. The waitresses were friendly, helpful and on the ball. The pub is clean and beautiful. Overall I was impressed and will certainly go back. Thanks to staff there for doing a great job, you brightened a grey January day.

Me and my partner were found a table despite it being busy and we were treated wonderfully by Ola and Johe. The cocktails and wine were delicious and the food made by Bugra was sensational, if you’re in the area and looking for quality service, food, drinks and a gorgeous atmosphere then you can’t look further than The Freemason Arms.
