Marcus Kitchen & Bar
16 Burleigh Way, Enfield EN2 6AE, UK | Italian Restaurant P: 020 8367 3339
Rating: 4.8 (493) Price Level:
We were here at just after noon on a Saturday so it was not too busy (it does get very busy in the evening). They have a nice exterior seating area but we opted to sit inside. There was 2 of us and we had 3 courses, a beer, a bottle of wine (at £56 the second most expensive on the menu), water and a double whisky (£8.90) for £180 (including a 12.5% service charge). The food was great as was the service. For starter I had the Bruschetta Mare (£16) a seafood dish that was tasty and plentiful. My main was the Pollo Cacciatora (£16), a delicious chicken dish in a lovely tomato based sauce. For dessert I had the baba (£7), a pastry soaked in rum with whipped cream. In my opinion by far the best restaurant in Enfield and surrounding areas. Highly recommend it but suggest you book for evenings.

What a great Italian family restaurant. The biggest attribute is the service with a smile, all the gentlemen who run the restaurant have great personality and make you feel like you are in their home, always talking to each table, cracking jokes and making it great. The food is good portions that are tasty and worth the money. Nice for dinner party's as it small but exclusive. Great restaurant and eat there all the time... great job

Marcus & Davide are the perfect hosts and have the most authentic Italian restaurant in north london. The ingredients are all so fresh & the presentation from Marcus & his team is 1st class. The ambience & cozy atmosphere is beautiful. Davide is a fantastic front of house manager & cannot do enough for his customers. We will be back again and again! You will not find another Italian restaurant like it locally or in the west end.

A hidden gem in Enfield Town! This Italian restaurant offers not only exquisite food but also exceptional service. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and one of the waiters looked like a young Al Pacino! The dishes were absolutely delicious, full of authentic flavors, and beautifully presented. Delicious food, generous portions, attentive staff and great value. We had the biryani with stew, the lamb neck Qozy with 2 stews, and garlic naan (stews were white bean, okra, courgette). We also got a starter salad with cacik and hummus (gratis) and tea and baklava at the the end. £26 all-in for the quantity and quality of food is amazing, we took a whole meal home with the leftovers. Please do leave folks a big tip if you eat here.

Best Around - Recommend Lamb Donner with chips - haven’t tried chicken doner yet. Cooked (Baked) in the stone oven the Pide are and I’m sure the Lachmacun is too. Plus the Lachmacun and Pides are freshly made, next on the list.

I'll just cut to the chase... no where in London have they ever served me a munch that size and that delicious... The guy behind the counter was genuinely putting heart and pride into his work... The place was clean and the food was exceptionally good... The vibe of these guys was good and I feel like they were serving God as they were serving me and on top of that they gave me a big portion of food and a drink for a tenner, I feel like I've robbed them because that was definitely more than a tenners worth of food. (Chicken and lamb doner, chips, tomato, cucumber, onions, humus, tziki and all the sauces.. I'll definitely be back to this hidden Gem to eat again!!! Big Thank you

Rating: 4.8 (318) Price Level:
I had the chance to bring my mum here for a traditional Turkish breakfast and was definitely worth it!! Also couldn't resist the smell of the Kokorec before we leave😋😋 Which was yummy!!! Not to mention how friendly the owner Mr Suat was :)
Rating: 5 / 5
5stars are not enough. Had the best sandwich of my life. The Istanbul Kokorec was just perfect, so fresh, so tasty. JUST PERFECT. 5 stars also goes for the service. They were very polite and very helpful. Thank you very much for this experience. As this is only 15 mins from my home I will be coming there often and try the rest of the menu.
Rating: 5 / 5
Food is delicious, the kokorec is number 1 in the town, and price is also reasonable, generous portions. I tried mumbar and filled mussels, they are also ok. They have nice tea after the food. Will definitely visit again.

The kokorec and Sirdan were delicious and the service was good. The staff is helpful and kind. Strongly recommended if you like offal. "sakatat" Unfortunately, midye dolma has finished. If you are coming from far away, you can call and reserve.

We travelled an hour plus just to have their kokorec and it was absolutely worth it! The customer service is a highlight! Suat was such a lovely gentlemen who gave us good recommendations. I have tried other places but this is the best! They are very generous in their portions and it’s very filling. The tea was nice too. It’s clean and lovely. Even the loo was spotless. We will definitely go here again. 100% recommend this to everyone for kokorec! The kokorec atom is amazing!

Stick with Turkish starter that comes to table complementary cacık Kisir barbecue cooked onions in sweet sauce was free and it was very tasty and delicious. Main meal was nice as well. 3 people bills came to £87 at the end they offered turkish tea and rise pudding. Definitely will try again👍

First time here and enjoyed it. Shared a hot meze platter and friend had the lamb chops which were delicious. Comes with salad, bread and dips and complimentary Turkish tea. Very good service and friendly staff. Would definitely eat here again.
Rating: 5 / 5
The restaurant itself was quiet and only at 30% capacity. The greeting staff welcomed us but there seemed to be a slight language barrier when communicating with him how big our party was as after confirming that we were a party of 13 he did not do anything. The owner himself then took over and seated us. He was polite and very friendly. The decor was standard with little attention to mood lighting. Music was playing at a comfortable level. Generous free starters including grilled lamb liver which was tasty but lacked salt. We ordered grilled onions which were slightly sour and cold but nonetheless enjoyable. We also ordered a salad that was like a minced chilli sauce, very tasty. It complemented the liver and humus beautifully. We ordered 2 mixed grills. The meat was not over flavoured like you get in some Turkish restaurants, this allowed the flavour of the meat to come through making it taste as though you were eating in Türkiye. The chilli sauce was not very appealing although it had some considerable kick. The owner made the point to come over and ask us if we needed anything else which was a nice touch. Overall, a great experience. A lovely authentic Turkish restaurant with good food and a lovely owner who really cares about his patrons.

Selale Restaurant

What made the experience truly special were the incredible servers, Dilara and Ceylin. Attentive, friendly, and professional, they ensured every detail was perfect, making us feel valued throughout. If you’re after amazing food and top-notch service, Selale is a must-visit. Be sure to ask for Dilara and Ceylin – they’ll make your visit unforgettable!

Amazing mixed grill is served here with freshly warm baked bread and salad to complement your meal. Portion sizes are great and is fair to the price. I will definitely be making a return visit here next time I’m in town! There is Great service here with authentic flavourful food.
Rating: 4 / 5
The food tasted great. It's street food with fancy prices. But to be fair the salad, bread and desserts are included. All were tasty though. Tea is included as well but we did not have any. Probably why the dishes are a tad bit higher than usual. I don't go to Turkish restaurants often and I'm not sure if that is the norm and it would have been great if they told you these things. We got the dessert, I think it was baclava but they did not say what it was. We also needed to know what was in it to be sure, in case of allergies etc. Whilst service was good, it would have been better if they communicated better and told us the names of the dips. A solid 4 stars.

This evening, I had the pleasure of visiting Şelale Restaurant for the first time, and it certainly won’t be the last. It was also our first visit to Green Lanes, as we were on the hunt for an authentic Turkish restaurant. After checking TikTok for recommendations, Şelale came up repeatedly, so we decided to give it a try. The food and atmosphere were exceptional, but what truly made the experience unforgettable was the outstanding service provided by Miss Dilara. From the moment she warmly welcomed us and seated us, she ensured we had the best dining experience we’ve ever had. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the restaurant and expertly guided us in selecting the perfect starters and mains. To make the evening even more special, Dilara treated us to complimentary Turkish tea and baklava—a thoughtful and generous gesture. This is hands down the best Turkish restaurant I’ve visited. The food was so fresh and bursting with flavor. I’ve been raving about it to everyone since leaving, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

I recently dined at Selale, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, setting the perfect tone for a wonderful meal. Our waiters, Dilara and Sinan, were outstanding—Dilara was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations, while Sinan added a lively, friendly vibe that made us feel right at home. The food was beautifully presented and full of flavor, clearly prepared with care. Selale is definitely a place I’ll be returning to, especially with such excellent service!

I’ve been meaning to try this place for years. I brought my mom and sister here for their first tasting menu experience. The dining experience here was great. And the place was packed even on an early in the week weekday. The food was original and well presented. I’d like to return every time I come back to Edmonton.

This restaurant was recommended to us by American Express. Was amazed with the softest and most tender bison meat I’ve tried! The desert was very light and delicious too. Service was amazing, the restaurant was a bit dark. The food was all good, the Philippines bun was great but could use a bit more seasoning; however, every other dish is very good!
Rating: 5 / 5
Went for dinner and was treated incredibly well from the service, food and overall vibe. The kitchen sent a few tasty items out complimentary and the server was very knowledgeable about the menu making recommendations. We were treated to a tour of the kitchen after dinner. Well done living up to the reputation as one of the best restaurants in Edmonton.
Rating: 5 / 5
One of our favourite restaurants in Edmonton, and often a go to for special occasions. This time we went to celebrate a milestone birthday. The quality and flavour of meat is outstanding, service is impeccable but unpretentious, and somehow the atmosphere is great for a date night as well for groups. The handwritten card signed by staff members was a very nice and unexpected touch. Love Rge Rd!!!
Rating: 4 / 5
Went here for a small staff dinner and we opted to try the tasting menu. Definitely one of the most unique dining experiences I’ve had in a while and the service was fantastic. While the was good, it didn’t blow me away. Overall, the food was quite delicious but I felt that some courses were better than others and the way the tasting menu was presented didn’t always make sense. I will say that they are definitely good at what they do, since the steak was the best part of the menu and if I were to come back for one thing it would be the steak.

The taste of every dish was just like in Turkey. We went as a group of friends from four different countries. All my friends mentioned how hospitable the place was and found the food absolutely delicious. Moreover, the prices were very reasonable compared to other places. The service and attention were excellent. I definitely recommend it. Many thanks to Mr. Abbas; we’ll definitely be back! :)

One of the best customer services ever. Andrea the hostess was amazing greeting us making sure we were seated immediately then Oykum was grand in helping us choose our dishes. Food was exceptional - I’m not just saying this because of the free desert offer - it’s genuinely fresh and tastes exquisite. Very lively and calm ambience.

The 29th of November, I went to this amazing restaurant with some friends for dinner. Given that some of its walls are embellished with flowers and LED lights, which provide for a great background for a striking shot, the restaurant has a very modern architectural design. In addition, the meal is amazing; In my opinion, the meat they serve is of excellent quality, and I heartily suggest it to everyone who enjoys lamb. This is my second visit to the restaurant, and the customer service is excellent as they greet you warmly and with a warm grin as soon as you walk through the door. To everyone who want to enjoy a really delicious Turkish cuisine, I heartily suggest it.

I visited this spot recently and had a great experience overall. When I arrived, I was informed that the outdoor patio would be closing around 4:30 PM. I’m not sure if this is a regular policy or a one-time occurrence, but the outdoor space is well-designed with a roof, making it cozy and warm. The interior is smaller but charming, offering a cute and intimate vibe. The food presentation was absolutely stunning—a solid 10/10—and the service was excellent. However, the pancakes didn’t quite hit the mark for me. They tasted a bit powdery and dry, and the syrup was thick, which made it hard to spread. Personally, I prefer a more liquid, syrupy consistency. On the other hand, the Mexican chicken panini was outstanding! It was perfectly seasoned, spicy, and packed with flavor. It was so delicious and satisfying that I couldn’t stop thinking about it all day. The hot chocolate was also spot-on—rich, creamy, and chocolatey, just the way I like it. The prices were reasonable, and overall, I would definitely recommend this place and plan to visit again.

Been here a few times, best breakfast/brunch spot in the area by a long way - a lovely experience every time! The service is excellent; owner and staff always so warm and welcoming. Classic Eggs Benedict on sourdough was so good. I've had the English breakfast before - delicious and comes with sourdough toast as standard, which is becoming a rarity in other eateries. One of the best cappuccinos I've had aswell! Highly recommend.

Honestly had the best time - taking a break from the kids. No other place like this in Edmonton! Service was exceptional from Telaz! Good was well presented and tasty!

Lovely welcoming environment. Many books for book lovers too. They always try to upgrade the place and make it nicer. Although we had a little misunderstanding at the very beginning everything has been sorted out, this things happens of course but they have been always kind and welcoming with a smile. It’s our morning routine now to stop after dropping the kids to school for a quick coffee. Food is tasty, all drinks to enjoy. A clean and a nice stop in Edmonton.
